Maybe but the secrecy seems strange if that’s what he’s on about. I wonder if there’s something in that blank space near the funnels on deck 17. There’s green windows there. Honestly looking at icon, utopia seems a really bizarre choice. Icon class is really the successor to oasis. Surely another icon class would make more sense or if they wanted to release another non-icon class it looks like it would make more sense to produce another quantum since that can go places neither oasis class or icon class can go. I’m sure royal have their reasons but I’m not able to think of one.

The aft area on deck 16/17 possibly 18 is quite large wondering if it’s something else instead of a restaurant

Noooooo I’ve been saving up for the icon debut in Southampton. It’s supposed to be my cruise for the year!

If you look the life boats are actually 1 deck higher than oasis. That’s why there is only 7 rows of balconies and the start of the bow section is 2 decks higher aswell. Where the blue stops on the bow is the height of the old bow on oasis.

If you look closely at the pictures of construction you can see the outside of the ship has 3 rows of infinite verandas and 4 rows of balconies (2 rows above and below the infinite verandas). So you’ll be able to get a standard balcony. I guess with a ship this size they wanted to give customers a choice

Does anyone know when the next episode of making an icon will drop? If they are doing it weekly it should be today.

If those numbers are to be believed as @Lloyd555hinted at it should be bigger, longer and wider. But historically royal uses biggest as referring to gross tonnage. When freedom of the seas came out it was the “biggest” cruise ship in the world but wasn’t the longest or tallest that was the qm2

Using icons back end would you say it is around the 250000gt mark because with the slight width increase, increased bow height, aqua dome height and cantilevered back end 250000gt seems fairly reasonable.
