  1. Viking were very reluctant to advise what time the charter flight would depart Ushuaia as we were due to dock at 5am and our flight from Buenos Aires was 23.30hrs. we decide to book a day room in BA. EZE boutique hotel ( 10 minutes from EZE). Eventually, while on the cruise we were let into the secret. We disembarked 0900 and our chartered flight left at 11.30 arriving at BA 1450hrs. Pleased we booked that day room!! Viking had arranged to herd everyone to Hard Rock Cafe for a meal and drink. If you need extra leg room on the chartered flight ( all economy seat) you will have to constantly make your needs known as your boarding ticket is given to you on the coach to the airport with no concerns if a person's need. We were able to swap seats when on board after relentlessly asking. Read my experience of our trip to Antarctica in review section. The photo is if the original seat. Safe to say this is my last Viking cruise.
  2. The binoculars are far better on expedition cruises. We made a mistake and took ours. The temp onshore was 0C for us. 2 pairs of socks, sunglasses, gaiter, ski leggings and base layer with a light top. Gloves. I used my winter cycling gloves. We were warm even when there was wind.
  3. Decided to keep our flights and book a room at EZE Inn Boutique hotel, a couple of clicks from the airport and enjoy some down time before returning to the airport for our 11.30pm flight to Miami. Free shuttle offered by the hotel!
  4. Look as if we will add a couple of days in BA. As we are passed the 75 days for "flight adjustments" I hope Viking will be amenable and not charge us for a flight change. I think this will be our last Viking Cruise as we tend to arrange our own vacations, plus the food is not that good.
  5. We disembark in Ushuaia 11/22/22 and I was unable to ascertain at what time with Viking rep. The flight to Buenos Aries is a charter flight. It takes 3.5 hrs to BA and our return flight is 11.30pm. We were considering a night in BA as we could expect 6+ hours in the BA airport which we are not prepared to experience. Has anyone any knowledge as to when the charter flight leaves Ushuaia as it seems Viking has a special secret office that arranges the charter flights and tells no one.
