  1. I am curious about the excursions on this cruise, so if anyone has any tips, I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Besides all the water slides and water activities at Atlantis in the Bahamas, is there anything else to do there?. The rest of the crew will be joining in on all the water sports in Atlantis, which I am not really in to, so debating if I want to even go there with them.

  2. They usually don't change all carpet, curtains, furniture during Dry Dock unless worn or extremely outdated, that's usually done year round on case by case basis. Brilliance/Serenade still has original furniture and are same age as Adventure...

I read an article online that it would only be inside and ocean view cabins that will be completely upgraded with new, but when I spoke to a Royal Caribbean representative, she said that ALL the cabins will be getting new furniture, carpets, curtains, etc. :D I hope so.

  3. I am going on the first sailing after drydock, February 12-17, and following the cruise, I will start a thread where I will post not only pictures, but also my videos. Stay tuned, Robert

That's awesome Robert. Thank You! Looking forward to it..

We will be staying in the promenade interior if you can get a pic of that too. It would be greatly appreciated.:)

  4. I am hearing that the Adventure of the Seas has been in drydock getting a complete renovation, and will be returning to sea very soon.

I also heard that all the cabins will have new furniture, carpets and curtains.

If anyone is cruising on the AOS after it comes out of drydock, can you please share pics of the cabins..etc?

We will be cruising on AOS in May, and I am getting really excited about it. :D

We cruised on her "sister" ship Explorer 3 times and loved it, so I am sure we are going to love the AOS too!

    Many thanks in advance. :D

  5. Wow! You people are ruthless. You were not there and have no idea how bad it was. I was not there either but it appears to have been very scary and unpleasant. If the captain could have avoided it he should have. They were lucky. If the ship had sunk at sea you all would be screaming that NCL was horrible to decide to try to ride the storm out.

I have to TOTALLY agree with you on this one...

Unless one has not walked in their shoes, one should not bash those on that cruise ship. I have had 10 SMOOTH sailing cruises. I was fortunate.

  6. I looked at the RCCL website and saw cruises on the Empress of the Seas. However, I do not see any forums for that ship on the cruise critic website. Has any cruise critics sailed on this ship? If so, please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance. :)

We cruised on that ship in 2001. It's nice to hear it's making a comeback. As far as I knew, they permanently docked it. :) I remember it being a smaller ship than the ship's today, but it was still very nice.

  7. My main camera is an older DSLR, Canon T2i, I also use a Canon S95 (point and shoot) and an Olympus TG-4 (waterproof). Most pictures don't look great right out of the camera, shooting in a RAW format and adjusting the levels with a program like Lightroom is key.

I love GSC, it's my favorite stop. To avoid the lines, try to get on one of the first tenders either by booking an excursion or reserving your tender ticket as soon as possible. If you leave the island by around 3 you shouldn't have much of a line getting back to the ship.

Thanks for the info. Beautiful pics of you and your wife. All of your pictures are really amazing.

Thanks for the tips about tendering on GSC too. :)

  8. not sure that's an inside cabin  very nice tho

Yes, that is a Family Oceanview. It looks pretty roomy. I had it booked, but then decided on a MS with Large Balcony. :D

    The website states:

Regular inside cabin Deck 5= 161 Sq Ft

Family Ocean View with Large picture window = 218 Sq. Ft.

Family Balcony = 207 Sq. Ft.

    Large Balcony 245 Sq. Ft.

    I hope this helps :D

  9. Good Morning :)

Is there anyone here that is on the Liberty of The Seas now? Just wondering if the seas are calm. One of my family members is on the ship, and I am a bit concerned. I am so glad they re-routed to Canada.

Will it be a round trip cruise to Canada, or are they all flying back from Canada to NY?

Thank you in advance for any info.
