My daughter and I sailed the Sunrise in early October. We have both cruised a lot so have reasonable expectations. The reviews were mixed so we chanced it...never again. When they repaired the ship last year they added more cabins to an already small ship. It's too crowded and not staffed with enough crew. We had to wait 30 minutes for our order to be taken in the main dining room at 5:45, then when we finally received our food it was very cold. On multiple days there were gangs of kids sitting in the stairways blocking them from use. Multiple fights broke out at the pool. We had a balcony room that must have been downsized as part of the renovation. The door wouldn't shut properly and whistled all night. The uncomfortable twin beds didn't feel as big as a regular twin, when you rolled over you almost fell out. I could go on and on about the disappointments. Our AC was very weak but we requested a fan, that helped. The fact they would run a ship that way turned me off to Carnival all together!
