  1. Thanks for the info 😁 it’s better to focus on Osaka and Yokohama.
  2. Yes, its Spectrum of the Seas. Actually it’s strange that thay make such an itinerary, with this port times. But the whole holiday package is good, so I still didn’t give up on it.
  3. @DeepFreeze63 thank you for your perspective. I wasn’t thinking about it, was looking into Kyoto and Tokyo. But you got me thinking that maybe leave those two, and go with Osaka and Yokohama. I guess there are less tourists? But yes, @hazeleyez3 your question is still in my mind. I would like to avoid losing time for transportation, btw I thought that you get from Osaka to Kyoto in 20 min and from Yokohama to Tokyo 30 min, but yes, I need to take into consideration customs, ship dock time, and would be back at least 1,5h until the departure of the ship. I am not in favor of ship excursions with bus rides, rather to explore on our own. Can’t find any posts of someone who actually took this cruise.
  4. Hi πŸ™‚ I’m looking into a really interesting vacation with Beijing, Shanghai and a 7 day Royal Caribbean cruise to Japan. Below is the itinerary of the cruise. There is only one day in Osaka/Kyoto, Kobe, Tokyo. I know that this really is not enough time, but do you think, we can make it a nice cruise with a taste of Japan? What are your thoughts on this cruise? What should be our priority? My husband and I are limited with the vacation days, so we can’t do a longer trip.
  5. I don't know about the cruise next vouchers, I also thought that this is only in the USA. I didn't see where to buy those vouchers... Do most of you use a travel agent for booking or do it via NCL webpage?
  6. Thank you, super, I didn't know about the FCC and will try it out, after the final payment (if the price is lower).
  7. Hi, So I've booked my first cruise with NCL and I started to follow this forum, which is a big help for me πŸ™‚ However, there is one thing, which keep bothering me and maybe in this topic we can share some experience which will be helpful. There is a big difference if you book a cruise from USA and EUROPE and it's really confusing. Some of them: 1. REPRICING: as I read it's super easy to reprice in the USA, in Europe not so much. Some agencies don't want to do it, don't know that it exist. I booked my cruise directly through NCL, and when the price dropped I could upgrade to a better room. Now again the price dropped and they offered me a small refund (there are some charges if you want to reprice), they didn't offer OBC or as I read didn't offer FCC. 2. FAS: in Europe we pay for the FAS, but don't pay for the additional gratuities. First I thought we need to pay additional gratuities but as I see, because we pay for FAS this is included. 3. FINAL PAYMENT: In USA the final payment is 120 days before cruise, in EUROPE is 30 days. Don't understand this big difference. 4. CANCELATION: We can’t cancel a cruise for free, so the option to book a cruise further in advance and then to just cancel it, if you decide otherwise, doesn’t exist. There are always costs if we cancel in Europe. All this differences are really confusing, and maybe I get them wrong, so please feel free to correct me J. Other cruisers booking from Europe if you have some insider tips and advice mostly on repricing and canceling, please share this with us.
  8. I'm also from Eurpoe, and this repricing is very confusing to me. I don't understand that there is such a big difference between Europe and USA. My cruise price went down, so I upgraded the room to balcony. I checked now, the price of the cruise went down by 340 EUR and when I called NCL they offered me a refund obf 75 EUR (apperently there are some charges for changes) or I could wait until the final payment that is 30 day before the cruise and check again, they would offer me OBC. I don't believe this is entirely true, what I was told. They didn't offer any FCC. Those who use this forum from Europe, can someone comment this?
  9. Nice video, it really looks good. Need to look into Azamara πŸ˜‰
  10. I’m also looking at NCL Australia and New Zealand cruise in the end of December 2025, because it has fewer sea days, and it visits many interesting ports. Now that I read this posts, I’m not sure anymore. Would really be disappointed if they change the itinerary. I understand that weather is a big factor, but as I see, they do this before cruise and it has nothing to do with weather conditions. if someone who did the Australia and New Zealand cruise reads this, please comment if it was as it was when they sold it. I will be doing my first NCL cruise in May, so I don’t know yet what to expect. As I see the cruises, the NCL really have (for me) most interesting itineraries, which is the most important thing, when I look into cruises.
  11. Hi, I see there is not a cinema on Norwegian Star, but do they maybe show movies on a sea day in theatre?
  12. Hi, Maybe this helps... We are going to Iceland end of May, and I reserved us a tour from NICE TRAVEL. Been reading on the forum, that they are good and they do a small group tour.
  13. So, I made an upgrade πŸ™‚ We even got a better price, so I could not refuse it. I guess it will be one experiance more. Will pack winter clothes, and hope the location won't be that bad. Thank you all πŸ™‚
  14. Hi, what do you think, is it worth to have a balcony cabin on Iceland, Svalbard, north Norway cruise? I could get an upgrade for about 170 EUR. I would like a little bit more space, but don't know if we will use it because of the low temperatures (we are travling end May/begginning june), it would be a guarantee cabin, so I don't know where will they put us, and there is midnight sun... I'm open for all suggestions and experiances that you have πŸ™‚ Is a balcony cabin worth it? Did you use it a lot on your cruise?

  16. Hi, today I wanted to make a call on NCL, but the telephone number 00800 0310 2121 isn't working. It says that the number is turnde off. Those from Europe, which telephone number do you call? Does the number above work in your country? Don't actually know how to reach them. There is a form on the website but I don't know how long does it take for them to respond. I read that the NCL costumer service is really bad. Thank you:)
  17. Do you normally get a better price with a travel agent? The problem is, I’m from Slovenia, which is pretty small and we don’t have many travel agents, and normally they are even more expensive. Maybe I will search for some European one… if someone has a suggestion let me know, I know you cant post TA on the board.
  18. Hi, I’m new to Azamara and it sounds really interesting cruise line. However there is one thing that is bothering me… when I look into a cruise and there is a price stated 2977 EUR, but when I make to the booking the price changes significantly. I see that there are also port taxes 257 EUR. But to sum this together should be around 6500 for 2 persons. When I processed to booking, the most cheapest price is 7132 EUR. just wondering if this is usual for Azamara, because everything else is included. I know that this cruise line, is a little bit more expensive than others (ncl, rcl,..), but the first price that you see on the website is always way lower than the booking price.
  19. Hi, just wondering if there is an info which ships are docked in Sydney over the new years on 31.12.2025.. which ships are usually docked on new years? I know this is really far away, but it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. 😁

  21. Thank you all for the responses. I still need to think about all the options. We decided that for the first time visiting Australia and New Zealand, we do it on cruise. I know we will see just a little of both, but I think we can make a nice vacation.. Maybe there will be some more cruises listed if we do it at the end of 2025. I heard that maybe Azamara cruise can be a good one. Only worry that the ships are smaller and the Tasman Sea can be bumpy.
