  1. I book cheap rooms and ride a bicycle. But I travel A LOT (not just cruising)! People ask me how I can afford it. Cheap rooms and a bicycle... 😄 (Although my "lowest acceptable standard" is considerably higher now that once upon a time.)
  2. No, that's not correct. March 28 to April 7 there's a Mediterranian cruise. Barcelona-Barcelona.
  3. Just a small update: Breakaway March 28 cruise is back on NCL web page but it is now a Mediterranian Barcelona roundtrip March 14-28 there is a cruise Southampton to Barcelona that is similar to original March 28 one, but extended a few days.
  4. Gee, I feel so simple and unorganized... I have never thought about price per person per day! I look at the total price and think "Is it worth it?" I seem to have a great time whether in insides, oceanviews and balconies so there is no "must have" for me. But I do look at different aspects apart from money. Does the ship have good outdoor spaces where I can spend time instead of having my own balcony? Is there an observation lounge where I can hang out? Is this a "once in a lifetime" trip or am I likely to do a similar itinerary at some other time? And after considering those things, "is it worth it?". Maybe, maybe not...
  5. I have a vague memory of that too! But I could very well be wrong. Either way, if you want it on your phone you can open the document and make a screenshot of the bar code.
  6. Actually they aren't supposed to fill you own cup (post pandemic). Some do anyway and some don't.
  7. As @Russiamomm says, that is incorrect. In speciality restaurants you "pay" with you keycard. I'm usually solo, but it is my understanding that each guest provide their keycard when it's time to pay. I don't know if they check if it's the right person holding the keycard, but they sure can!
  8. I don't know about the FCC. I guess that has to to do where it's from. (FCC has nothing to do with CruiseNext. The credit you get from CruiseNext is counted towards your CN purchase right away.) I do however know that you can male as many small payments as you like! I do it all the time. I cannot do in on the web page though, but in the app. Just click "other amount"
  9. As long as times aren't overlapping it shows up. Or do you see those that overlap as well?
  10. YES! YES! YES! That ould be nice! They can still block my ability to book, no problem. But I want to see what's availble!
  11. I mostly get it in the buffet(s). That suits me very well, so I haven't really looked for it elsewhere. There has usually been self serve drinks stations (coffee, water) in the outdoor bars as well on the ships I have sailed.
  12. A soda is around 3.50 + 20% making it 4.20. So very expensive! Water (flavoured and natural), tea and coffee are available for free pretty much always. Hot chocolate powder is available at least at breakfast. Possibly all day (haven't looked for it so I don't know). Milk is also available. And yes, juice (typically orange, apple cranberry or similar) is availble for free at breakfast.
  13. And unless you have something to put in front of it it may slip! 😄
  14. I stand corrected! You are absolutely right! And I could use the "more filters" and clic "3rd passenger free" (or something like that)to find the cruises. But, as I said, I'm a solo traveller so makes no difference to me!
  15. What I meant is that as a EU person I haven't seen that particular promo. Or at least not noticed it. (Being a solo traveller I wouldn't have been looking anyway so I may have missed it.)
  16. Then you'll be fine! I see now that Escape isn't listed in the article, but I think that is an error of the author. I can't imagine it not having shipwide coverage!
  17. What ship will you be on? The list that offers vessel-wide WiFi seems to be most of the fleet. In my experience it can be a bit iffy in the room, depending on location on ship, but corridors and public spaces are usually good/acceptable.
  18. I haven't seen that promo here in EU, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was maninly marketing "fluff". Guessing all passengers pay taxes and fees for example. When you say they all pat same price, have you compared the price per passenger on a 4 person booking and a 2 person booking? That would be the way to actually tell how "free" 3rd and 4th are.
  19. I hear you. I'm not particularly fond of Star, but she has great (for me) Itineraries. So I do the best of it. Focus on the things I like and somehow end up having a great time.
  20. Yeah... I don't gamble and I don't like smoke. So far I haven't had any problem avoiding smoke on different ships, and on my upcoming Escape cruise I'm pretty confident I can avoid going through the casino if there is too much smoke. There is a forward elevator to use for the theather/O'Sheehan's and an aft one to use for Manhattan room. (Even if I don't gamble myself I don't mind the casino taking up space. I kind of like walking through it unless there's a lot of smoke.)
  21. I agree that Cadiz is very good for just strolling around. But when I was there we could just walk off. No transfer needed. Maybe there are different docking locations used. Either way, a very nice city!
  22. I was on Dawn in March. South Africa. Internet was horrible! Plenty of cokkies though. 😄
