  1. We are impacted by this one, and having been through this twice in about six months you can't help but reflect that P&O could deal with it better. That includes long waits for deposit refunds, poor/no communication with travel agents and seemingly ignoring booking condition 40. In terms of the alternative cruises rising in price, easy tip first, we rebooked the previous sailing for about £100 less than we paid, appreciate a lot of factors will dictate individual costs, but worth a check if you have date flexibility. I can't say too much on our first case, ABTA have a gagging clause as part of their arbitration process, but would urge anyone impacted now to read booking condition 40 and detertermine if they feel they have been offered each of the options afforded to guests in this situation. If faced with an increased cost to re-book another cruise, is there an alternative package of comparable standard available that meets your needs you should have been offered, as according to booking condition 40 “the guest will have the choice of… accepting an offer of an alternative Package of comparable standard if available…” You only have 14 days to confirm, so act quickly if you plan to try and rely on this clause, and don't expect an easy resolution!
  2. We had the same experience last year when we were booked on B421 (now B421N). What frustrated us was P&O wilfully ignoring booking condition 40 that states passengers should be given the opportunity to accept the significant alteration (or have a refund etc). Still got ABTA and Trading Standards looking into that one for us.
  3. We were off to Kiel, Copenhagen, Tallinn, Helsinki etc. New one is described as Canary Islands via Madera and stops in mainland Spain and Portugal, but no confirmed details yet.
  4. We are booked on B421 and got the change of itinerary email this morning, and notification P&O were canceling our booking. It was never going to be an email received with any joy, but P&O always seem to find a way to make a bad situation worse, including: My wife is lead passenger, but gets no notification. Did not tell our travel agent, so the first they knew is when we phoned them. The cruise is still available to book, even at the time of posting. Cruise personalised still allowed log in this morning. The cruise is still listed as a future booking when I log in to my account. The revised itinerary is not to be published untill Thursday. The option to accept the alteration, as per the booking conditions has not been offered to customers. This is not a decision that was dreamt up over the weekend, and should have been far better planned and communicated.
