I've been to this on the Grand and the Emerald and it's a nice change of pace for a before dinner cocktail.  Where is it held on the Coral?

On the Coral it is held in Explorers Lounge.

  2. At check out ad Dad50. I am signed up for all the emails. lol

Thanks so much, I went and looked at my profile at Princess and the 'receive promos by email' was checked NO, I really can't complain when it was my bad to begin with. I have fixed that!

  3. Even though you prepaid your gratuities, it will still show up on your account every day the amount taken out for the gratuities, or at least that was the way it was 2 years ago. I find it confusing, as I pre-pay as well and I wish it would just take it at the beginning of the cruise.

    .

Our last four or five cruises when I have had either free grats or pre-paid them, there is nothing shown on a daily basis at all for gratuities, no multi-lines saying "hotel charges", much neater without all those ins and outs.

  4. The only balconies that don't connect would be where there is a fire wall. These would be located where the room numbers change to the next hundred, for instance C254 and C302 are next to each other, but does not have a door to open between them. But C326 and C330 would have a door that could be opened by the steward.

  5. We've done a number of escape rooms on land, and had not heard of them on the ship, interesting. I appreciate that Princess is attempting to include a greater variety of entertainment options onboard (I went to their murder mystery theatre show on the Royal and that was a new one to me!).

We are definitely going to look for this on our next cruise!

You will need to watch for the sign-up and then be sure to get to that a good half hour early! They only have 8 half-hour blocks available, and they fill up fast!

  6. We were lucky enough to be one of the eight teams that signed up for and participated in the Escape Room on the Regal repositioning cruise Oct 26th. It was held in what I believe was the chapel, and quite fun. Their game was Escape in 30 minutes or less. Being experienced escapers, we did it in 14 minutes. As mentioned, you search the room for clues, solve puzzles, which will open devices giving you access to keys or more clues etc. that you must solve in a particular order to succeed. As someone mentioned, they were quite the fad in the last few year, but seem to be fading from popularity. Our Escape Room AK business inFairbanks keeps interest high by changing the themes of the rooms every few months.

  7. "As for the previous poster who asked about the milkshakes, I told the employee at the ice cream place that i had the package but she said it was a recent change. I considered having customer service remove it but the lines were horribly long and I decided $2.50 wasn't worth it."

My guess is the ice cream employee must have thought you had the soda & more package which has recently dropped milkshakes. I detest spending more than an minute or two in the customer service line, not wasting precious vacation time like that!

  8. OP how did you "find out"? Email/verbally etc?

The standard Booking Notification email sent br Princess, mine came in last evening.

We will be disembarking from the Regal repo that morning, now have extra time for catching up with emails, chat with the kids, maybe download a few new books. We are hoping to still be allowed to easily transfer from one ship to the other, does anyone know if this will be a problem in this circumstance?

  9. Whole new look to the My Princess area of the Princess website. Other than their counts of cruises and days cruised being incorrect, it seems neat and orderly. I do have correct numbers when I click on my cruise history, and all my future cruises are showing. The personalizer area looks the same.

  10. Woohoo! Just finished booking the 2nd half of this B2B: two weeks in a balcony cabin on the lovely Royal Princess. Haven't been this excited about a cruise since the moment I last set foot on her in 2013. Only 705 days and counting. lol. ;)

Congrats Dave! Each port on the two cruises has something terrific to offer, have fun planning!
