Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Always enjoyed the Quest. My first Quest was on the Horizon, 2018 led by John Heald. However there was no QUEST game on my Celebration cruise last October. Did Carnival retire this fun adult game? Considering the Horizon (third time on her) this September. Please and Thank You
  2. Its doable but be prepared in case things get tight. Definitely pre check in for your flight. At least with my company Southwest you can also pre check your bags so the only thing needed would be printing your bag tags at MIA.
  3. I may have mentioned easiest solution would be the late night snacks have leftovers from the main line buffet. Carnival ships are always full so they go through lots of food. Not like your families leftovers.
  4. I'd call her "Old Sparky." But for better P.R. We can name her New Sparky
  5. Sorry y'all had to go through all that. Some of the articles on line are confusing. (Not Here on Cruise Critic). One article said nobody can go on the open decks and another account said passengers sequestered to their Cabins. Looks like the ship is heading back to the home port. (Miami)? I'm glad to hear cruisers are dining and at the Casino. Are any last night activities cancelled?
  6. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/slideshow-cabin-members.php?ship=Carnival-Celebration&cabin=10387. Pics of my cabin Its a 4 N or 4 O. I have trouble figuring the cabin codes. 🙂
  7. wrcj98. https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=713074. I hope you enjoy my review. I tried to be objective. BTW my inside cabin 10387 is a standard mid ship interior not a spa cabin. I hope to sail on the Celebration this upcoming September. The itinerary includes my 2nd. Best port Rotan Mahogny Bay. Love the chair lift that takes you to the beach. My fave Carnival port Grand Turk. I did buy the Cloud Nine access.
  8. Usually the ships pull in to Port Miami around 0600 give or take an hour. However back in 2013 my Victory Cruise docked around 0200! I remember being enthralled by the then dancing stripper LED on tbe side of The Intercontinental Hotel downtown Miami.
  9. A general feedback question. My fellow Cruise Critic communitty, have any of you experienced the complimentary late night fare/snacks on Carnival, Royal and MSC all since 2022 post Covid? My last Royal and MSC cruises were in 2022. So, I'm judging ranking the late night snacks from 2022. And 2023 on Carnival. So, this is late night fare snacks only. Tie for first Royal and MSC. Carnival's late night snacks are way behind. Please share any experience reviews. I did not include Norwegian O'Sheehans since its a dedicated resturant.
  10. I've been on 11 Carnival cruises and never went hungry. I was just on the Celebration this past October and enjoyed the food, And, this wasn't for fee dining. I'm planning to be on MSC or Carnival this September. The only negative was their late night snack. Also referred to as Midnight Buffet. Check out my thread on this topic. I've taken one Royal and two MSC cruises and I enjoyed their food. One of the best food choices is Guy's Burgers and on the Celebration Shaques Chicken. My mouth is watering now. As mentioned in my thread the late night snaks so far DO NOT reflect on Carnival's mainline food. And I hope this continues. The jury's out on the Omlete protocal but, if I cruise on a fun ship I'll try it and share here on Cruise Critic. I've never been on the up market cruise lines such as Princess or Celebrity so, I can't compare. With the ecception of the late night fare because the cruises are busy sold out, the food doesn't get a chance to be "leftover" quality. Same with MSC 2021/2022 and Royal 2022. My sage advice to Carnival keep the late night snacks on late night.
  11. Think of a menu for 4–8-year-olds in a government run special institution. The ones where the smell from hell grabs while queuing up for mystery meat. The institution that makes it on the evening news for health code violations. I've never been in an eating area that was pretty clean like on the Celebration but smelled like roach cafe. The conspiracy theory in me feels this may be an experiment by the cruise line to see if passengers would throw down food of questionable at best quality as the new culinary standard. If you put it out, they'll come and graze. If this was served in the MDR, many would give it the paw (yuck) and some would eat it like there's no tomorrow.
  12. As long as Carnival doesn't filter down the low quality late nught snacks to the Lido Buffet and God Forbid MDR I'm glad ita there for those who don't mind eating KMart cafeteria food. On my two MSC cruises the late night snacks weren't half bad and also served in Lido Buffet.
  13. If the honey mustard sauce was the same served in the Lido Buffet, besides dessert would be the only. tasty Item at the Midnight Buffet.
  14. ROTFL! Cruises are special don't serve up that skeevy frozen food.
