We especially enjoyed the astronomer’s lectures. Wealth of knowledge there, easy to understand, delivered with humor and passion. We caught all of his presentations.
Might want to avoid the food poolside. Ugh. But the dining rooms are excellent, and the buffets have international selections - something for everyone. I’m diabetic, and there are plenty of dietary options everywhere you look. No deprivation needed on this cruise! International Cafe on Deck 5 was my favorite spot, and our favorite barista was Esley - what a fabulous human being.
Comedian Linda Belt - laughed so hard I cried.
Magician Belli was fascinating and fun.
Lots of music everywhere for all tastes.
Casino was fun, typical tables and machines, but clogged with cigarette smoke.
Movies showing all day and evening at poolside.
Walking/running trails, sports courts, etc.
I recommend you book excursions through the ship - but do it as soon as possible. They fill up fast but guarantee you get back on board on time.
As to the sales pitches… obvious and annoying and everywhere. Wine, highly commercial art, jewelry, and that spa: we avoided all of it. After a while, it becomes just background noise.
Relax and Enjoy … we certainly did!
