Welcome to the rain.... we have had record amounts of rain this winter. More rain is on the horizon. If I were you take a look at a weather app for possible bad weather. We have never had this kind of weather. I live two hours north of Santa Barbara along the coast.
I have actually heard of your bad weather. It has been reported here on the news several times. So sorry about this. A lot of destruction also, I believe. Nature can be nasty.
Hopefully this all stops soon for you. Thanks for responding.

Oh. Okay, Ken the cruiser. I thought that you were talking about Celebrity. My mistake.

Just to follow up, a Concierge balcony cabin is the same as a regular veranda. The only difference is you get a bottle of bubbly, 3 free bags of laundry (up to 20 pieces each), and you get to prebook your free allotment of specialty restaurants a few days before the regular balcony folks. Oh, and you get access to a Concierge Lounge if you like that sort of thing.
As far as I know, you do not get any free laundry in a Concierge cabin. I would like to be wrong because we are sailing Concierge in April. I don't think there is a Concierge Lounge. I think you may be thinking of suites (or elite level).

Thanks for all the information. We are looking forward to the port.

Thank you both so much for the information.
princeton123211: San Ysidro Ranch looks wonderful.! Unfortunately, well beyond our means.
Re: weather, I guess that I am surprised at the temps in April. I have a friend who spends the winters in California and I have seen her on FaceTime in shorts and T-shirt in February. But, she is in Palm Springs! Coast temps obviously much different.
Not a problem, will just know what to expect.
I think that we will walk around as far as we can manage (we are older and my husband is a walker but, unfortunately, I have back issues) and will probably stick closer to the dock.
How long is the tender ride?

We have just been informed that our itinerary has changed from a stop in Monterey to Santa Barbara.
So, now I need to look at our day in Santa Barbara.
Any information on this port would be of help.
Will we tender? How far from the port is the harbor with the small boats and a walk along the shoreline? How far is the walk to the courthouse? Perhaps we need to bus it? We really enjoy a coffee and pastry or perhaps a light lunch in an outdoor venue. We will be in Santa Barbara end of April so hoping we will have warm weather. Anywhere we can get wifi?
Thanks for any help. We do not want to take a tour.

I will come back to report on what is included and what they took away
Thanks. Enjoy your cruise!

Yes, there should not be confusion. My question about enhanced room service breakfast menu is not that important in comparison to what the classic beverage package includes. We do not have the inclusive plan this time hence the question re the wine which even if low quality, it is a nice bonus for us. Any other concierge cruisers on my trip can pass on their wine to us if they do not want it. LOL.
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, xxpinksaltxx, please do get back and let us know. I would be interested in Embarkation Lunch, Pillow Selection, Binoculars and Umbrella. Even if you are not interested in those perks yourself, would you mind just asking if they are available to Concierge Class?
Enjoy your cruise.
BTW: love your CC name. Tell us the story behind it please.

CruisingDaddy:
Please report back after your cruise. We booked concierge because it was only $20.00 per person more than veranda so worth it. But, would not pay much extra for sure.
Hope to hear from you in end of March. Ours is mid April.
-
Thanks. They really need to take it off their website - Ha Ha.
Anything else that was changed re benefits such as embarkation lunch (I hope not!), Poor quality wine, Tote Bag. I notice it says veranda with lounge seating. Do not remember that from last concierge class on Celebrity.
-
In Concierge on B2B Solstice cruises in April. Second time in Concierge. This time noticed one of the benefits is "Enhanced Room Service Breakfast Menu".
What is special about menu? We seldom eat breakfast in the room but do not remember being offered anything special last time.
Thanks.

. "According to Celebrity, you can use that app onboard using its Wi-Fi for free."
Surely that is not correct although I would like it to be true because, on my next cruise, I do not have the wi-fi package.
Would love to hear that it is correct.
Thanks

Thank you for posting.
Although we don't go to the buffet for dinner as a rule, after reading many reports by passengers who love going to the buffet I thought that we would try our next cruise in April.
Certainly does not sound good. Also, having chaos when the ship is 1/4 full is certainly disappointing.
Did you go to the shows?
Thanks.

We are booked on the Solstice for April. Just going to reserve our dining in Main dining room and see that I have a choice of Deck 3 or Deck 4.
Any advantages to one over the other?
Thanks.

You could try removing the app and reinstalling? No guarantee that will work!
Good idea. But, still showing the higher price.
Perhaps only on certain sailings or depends on when you book. Or, it is a glitch that you were able to take advantage of. Good for you.
Enjoy

My packages show in CAD, but I don’t have the classics non-alc package showing in my app, just the other 3 options. Maybe it depends on the ship or when you booked? We sail mid April but just booked a couple of weeks ago.
I don't have it showing either. Wish I could book that.

Thanks so much. That seems doable!

We are B2B cruises out of Port of San Pedro. On turnaround day, is there somewhere to buy wine close to the port?
Thanks.

Oh Dear. Thanks, though, for the info.

That is something that I wondered about. Where do you go to get the balls for bocce? We will probably not get off the ship in a few of the ports and might like to pay a game.
