I have only stayed at the Haven through purchasing it and not bidding for it. I have never done any bidding.
I find it interesting that you bid close to what it costs to actually stay there. Why not just book it at the market rate if you are going to bid close to the market rate. I don't get it. I thought the idea is to lowball and hope for the best.
Great point Dr.Sea. For us I guess as we get closer to sail date the excitement increases and we starting thinking "should we have booked the haven....." and then there is a false sense of it just doesn't feel like you are spending as much because I paid for the initial cruise months ago....it's all mind game tricks that aren't legitimate at all but yet here we sit, 4 days before sailing hoping we get the upgrade but perfectly fine if we don''t.

We are sailing this Saturday and have bid to go to a Haven suite and called to see if we could just pay outright for it instead of hoping for the upgrade and she said she she didn't have anything to sell me but that there were some Haven rooms being shown on hold for upgrades. This makes no sense to me but thought I would share what we were told.

We always upgrade to the premium to stream something on Netflix usually before bed, part of our "wind down" ritual, and rarely have issues. We could never do this with regular wifi.

We sail next Saturday on the Encore and our bids are still pending. Fingers crossed though!

We sailed Encore in December 2021 and will be on her again in about 30 days and cannot wait. It is a fantastic ship. Agree with previous posters, Choir of Man was outstanding and we cannot wait to see it again.

I found this on the Princess website but I'm not sure this applies to my sailing - 7/17 on Discovery Princess out of Seattle. Can anyone clarify for me?

I too am also on the Encore for 12/5-haven't checked this morning yet-But as of mid day yesterday UPGRADE BANNER still came up when checking on my 12/5 cruise-clicked on-went to modify a bid-allowed me to-and still shows all (many) bids still "pending"-yet as of a couple days ago it showed the prior available remaining rooms no longer availalble and every category SOLD OUT. What does this mean?
Hi - we are seeing the same for our 12/5 Encore cruise. All 4 of our bids still show pending. Fingers crossed we both get our upgrades!

The itinerary doesn't matter to us, we rarely leave the ship anymore. These ships seem to be quite similar. Are there any differences other than entertainment that I might be overlooking?

From what I saw it does in the videos I have been watching. Big screen, "stage" seating on two different levels.
Setting foot on the ship first time this Saturday.
I hope you have an amazing vacation!!!!!!

Hi - don't laugh but I love hanging out in the Atrium on NCL ships. There is a bakery and a bar...comfy chairs where I can read...and entertainment comes to me while I hang out. I'm wondering if the new Encore includes this design feature. I know it has an Atrium based on deck plans but used in the same fashion as Atriums on other ships?

We are sailing on Saturday on the Symphony OTS and cannot wait! I'm curious about something, does anyone know if we elect to get a WOW bracelet can it perform the function of the Tracelet, allowing us to wear only one device?
-
We are sailing on the Symphony on 8/14 and the same thing happened. We paid more to select our cabin and received an email this week that we were moved to a different cabin, same category. We were moved up one floor. In the grand scheme of things it isn't a big deal but we selected our cabin because we wanted to be on the same floor as the boardwalk and now we are not. I think right now if you are willing to travel you have to be super flexible with unexpected changes. If you are not you are going to be miserable.

Hi Everyone,
Is there any class of stateroom that provides the opportunity to have specialty dining delivered to your room?
Thanks!

Hi Everyone - we are planning on purchasing the unlimited internet/streaming for 1 device. Online today it says it is 40% less than the price on the ship. Does anyone know what the price is once you are on the ship? I'd rather purchase then using an onboard credit but if it is really 40% less to do it now we will do that. Thanks

Does anyone know if it includes replacing the carpet , furniture or bedding in the cabins? Thanks!

Hi Everyone - we just received notification to not arrive to the port before 12:30 because there will be a coast guard inspection of the Oasis that day. Embarkation will now take place between 12:30-3:30. Does anyone have any experience with this that they can share? I'm envisioning a very stressful and long start to our cruise...still excited beyond words of course but wondering if anyone has any tips to navigate this.

Hi Everyone -
Just wondering if anyone has flown non-rev to catch a cruise outside the US before and what your experience was like? We were thinking of trying it for a cruise out of Southampton, UK and would plan on trying to fly over a few days early to allow for not getting our 1st or 2nd choice on flight. Not worried about the flight home, just getting there. It would be with Delta but curious about anyone's experience.

Hi Everyone -
We are looking at our first european cruise this fall. Unfortunately both my hubby and I need to check our email daily for work. Does anyone know if the internet packages on European cruises mirror those available on Caribbean cruises?

I absolutely love my Lonchamp LePliage bag. I have it in large and it has wonderful shoulder straps and I feel like no matter how much I load it up it never hurts my shoulder and I am very sensitive to that. They also fold up perfectly for travel. I can't say enough good things about them. Look up videos on YT, there are tons of them.
