Some say this no longer works, some say is still does. Go to Cherry on Top and buy gift cards, some say this no longer works and some say it does.

I went to the craps table and asked for $100 in chips. Played for a short time very conservative and then cashed out. They hold back 3%.

Can someone whose is currently on the Nieuw Amsterdam give me an idea of what entertainment is available in the ship’s Mainstage?  What did you like or dislike about it?  Thanks.

We were on in October 21 days. Hyperion Knight piano, Former Olympic gymnast, Magic/Comedy performer, Female singer and impersonator, 6 ship dancers in multiple shows, nature movie on main stage, Beatles cover performer. Female singer was very good.

Just  price out what they cost daily and see if prices drop. Its supply and demand. You know what you paid and what the price is. Subtract them and you know how much the upgrade costs.

Lol or get moved. I got moved first leg of breeze to a better cabin as did a lot of others. I think they turned the wing where I was booked into a isolation wing, but staff wasnt telling. A lot of us got moved. I got moved to a ov with 2 bathrooms and a bathtub.

Where I was booked had this sign. We didnt know we were moved until we showed our boarding pass which still said same cabin we booked. No prior warning, just moved at boarding time.

This is most likely a Covid isolation hall.

Anyone receive a casino promotion since they have started only sending them out by e mail???

I never received an email promotion. When searching for cruises I just noticed some were very low priced and obviously casino promotions. Now I just search periodically for more deals.

I just received email from HAL that starting Aug. 14, a negative covid test, taken with three days of boarding is required.

I received this email as well and thought it was for our Eurodam Greece cruise Aug 22nd, but apparently it was for or Oct 2 2021 cruise from Seattle. The email says all ships, but I guess not.

I'm booked for an 11 day on the Eurodam in November.  I tested positive for Covid 2.5 weeks ago.  No real symptoms.   Spent 14 days in quarantine.  I feel great!  Cleared to return to work and no longer restricted from interacting with anyone.  I also have acquired natural immunity.  I've been told not to test again for 90 days because I will still test positive for weeks/months.   If someone tests positive and recovers they may not be able to produce a negative test for months.  Kind of makes it hard to go on a cruise.

We got the vaccine even though we had Covid, mostly so we could cruise. You should be able to get the vaccine in time to cruise November if you plan ahead. The 90 day period can get shortened a little.

Pfizer vaccine is 3 weeks apart, last one 14 days before cruise.

I hear you.  I’m from Canada too and I wonder if my fall cruise will be a go and if the travel advisories will be dropped by then.  It’s just going to make traveling just a bit more “fun”.

I am told today if you have traveled internationally within 14 days of the sail date , you will also need rapid antigen Covid test in the cruise terminal. This question is on the pre-cruise health questionnaire that can't be completed until 72 hours before the cruise.

Well, St Martin is on the same category… Anyway, within EU there is currently not a “Do not travel” for Greece so I don’t see why HAL wouldn’t cruise. I guess the biggest difference for you coming from the US would be travel insurance issues. At least that is what we face if we travel to a place where our state department is issuing an alert to. I called HAL yesterday about another question and did ask about the likelihood of cancellation and the answer was that the ports are evaluated constantly, but sail it will.

Greece Covid case numbers have been flat since July 16th. Number of deaths from Covid are still very low compared to previous peaks. Not sure why the advisory level was raised to red now. Lets hope the cases begin dropping soon.

I will self carry luggage off Constellation in Tampa on Monday Dec. 13. The best flight I can book with AA miles is at 9:40am. Can we make this flight? I have never cruised to/from Tampa before and don't know about airport transport issues. I will likely use uber from the pier to the airport.

I have live near Tampa and have cruised out of Tampa. Our last Tampa cruise was late arriving. TPA is very close to the cruise port and if you arrive on time you could make it for a 9:40 flight. But, don't think I am brave enough to try a flight this early.

Learn something new every day.  I didn't know that OBC didn't go with a casino deal so that is something to consider when booking. You also don't get some of the other credits but it is still such a good deal and the other three got credit so I'm not complaining, just learning.

"Unfortunately, we are unable to apply the shareholder benefit to booking C-----  due to the fare your reservation is booked under (Exclusive Casino Fare).  The shareholder benefit is not combinable with reduced-rate promotions or guests traveling under an employee, interline, or friend and family type fares.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. "

    I received the same email.

I think it was more than just the menus  He also disagree with their self serve buffets.  That didn't make much sense to me.  Aren't buffets usually self-service?  Perhaps OP meant "non-self serve."  The OP was perhaps overly concerned that "things weren't as they used to be."  Hence, the remark about "entitlement."

Buffets on Holland America are mostly not self serve. You tell crew member what you would like and they place it on a plate and hand it to you. They even prepare your salad as ordered.

Ours is at 11:50.  We want the nonstop, so that's what was offered.  Getting to the ship on time is imperative; getting home notsomuch.   If we have to change a flight or stay a night in Seattle, that wouldn't be too terrible.   We are taking a HAL transfer to the airport, so we are first off the ship and on the road.   Usually we do Uber.  Just us.

Our flight is at 11:15, we carry off our own luggage. I lived is downtown Seattle for 4 months. Maybe I am wrong but I am not concerned about making our flight. We dock at 0700, off by 0800 and airport at 0900. Could still make flight if we arrived at 1000. My plan is to take taxi to the airport or a taxi to the train stop at Westlake Mall the train to airport. How quickly we exit the ship will help us decide. We never take the cruise shuttle.

Just got this today as I'm sure many other did, it's a bit different:

$700 casino cash and up to 50% fares for any Greek Island cruise departing 08-15 through 09-05 of 2021.

The one that goes from Piraeus to Venice is very tempting but I don't think the wife can go, she got same offer but only $500 casino cash.

    Happy Cruising,

    Paul

Thank you for posting this as we were not sent an e-mail of this deal. Our offer was for a free inside cabin for 7 or 14 day cruise Greece.

Carnival is cancelling and offering a $900 AUD OBC if you move your money over to another cruise, but only an Australian cruise. Otherwise you receive a refund to your credit card. aede8b26-e2bc-467c-a0a4-a0b7b8c086f9.png

Update I called back and spoke to a different customer service rep. and was able to get the OBC moved to a US cruise.

Seriously doubt it will, the peak season is Oct-Apr, if most of it is missed doubt they will start sailing during the low season. Your next issue is even when they do restart all indications are it will be Local Bubble only.

I believe there is almost no chance Carnival will be sailing in Australia in Feb. 2022.

Why is Princess dragging their feet?  Because they want to hold onto your interest free money as long as possible.  Why offer to give it back any sooner than necessary?

Even if they cancel and give you a refund, they're going to take up to 90 days.  Did it take 90 days to pay your deposit when you first booked the cruise?  Of course not!  They can take your money much faster than they can give it back, and all interest free!

You are correct on all counts. I have a CCL NZ cruise in Nov 2021 that will be cancelled, but Carnival also dragging it's feet.

Why is Princess dragging their feet?  There is no way any cruise will happen in Australia in 2021.  So why don't they cancel the season like every other cruiseline so we can get our credits or refunds?  Our final payment is due 10 days before the official announcement of borders in 17 Sept-ish.  I don't want to lose what we paid + cancellaion FCC from Sea Princess, let alone give them more money when they won't be allowed to operate.

Call and ask if they will delay final payment date. CCL has been willing to push dates back at least a couple weeks.
