We booked the Encore for March 2022. Hopefully, this will all behind us by then. Right now I need something to look forward to.

Fire and Ice was my favorite. Her Tina Turner song was spot on! Never missed any of their performances. Choir of Man was also great. Can't wait to see them again!

Most (with the exception of a few of the family minis) are full size showers (size of a tub, but a shower). The shower has a rainfall head with body jets. There is a double sink. And ample space around the toilet.

Thank you, BirdTravels. Somehow I knew you would know the answer. I love reading all your cruise reviews!

If anyone has stayed in a club balcony suite on the Encore, is there a tub or walk-in shower in the bathroom? I have mobility problems and it's hard for me to get in and out of a tub. Thank you in advance for replies.

I don't have links handy, but I really enjoy reading reviews especially from Mitsugirly, Noreen 411, Shadowmeboy, APDMom.
Just look them up.BirdTravels also has some excellent reviews. Very detailed and she posts lots of the ship's menues, which is very helpful.

I'm not a pool person, so for me it's spending a few hours each day at the Thermal spa area, relaxing on the heated tile loungers and looking out at the ocean and enjoying the quiet and serenity.

The Escape, hands down. Best entertainment, food, spa and staff. Sailed two years in a row on Escape and the second cruise I went to the bar and ironically the same bartender was there. He recognized me from the previous cruise and before I could tell him what I wanted he said to me, "would you like a Bushwacker?" How's that for memory!

Was all set to book a cruise on the Joy until I discovered it didn't have a spa thermal suite. That's a deal breaker for me. Booked the Encore instead.

There are towel stations. I asked for two towels. No problem.

We were there the last week of February (2020). It was chilly and windy. We had Beach Club passes and really enjoyed just laying on a daybed by the pool and soaking up the sun. Highly recommend a Beach Club pass. They sell a limited amount and it's not wall to wall people. A meal was also included in the price of the Beach Club. Also, mostly adults, hardly any children.

I forgot to add in my above post that when we sailed on the Pearl my daughter, who was in her late 40's at the time, felt like she was the youngest one on the ship. An exaggeration, of course, but there were very few young people on the Pearl. I think your teens would be very bored. Not much for them to do.

I've sailed on the Pearl to Panama Canal. Nice ship, but older and a little worn. For your family, I suggest the Escape. Sailed the Escape three times and loved her. Your children would love the Escape. More for them to do.

We were at Coco Cay the end of February and had Beach Club passes. Enjoyed it very much. Since they limited the number of people, it was not crowded at all, compared to the rest of Coco Cay. It included a meal that had choice of steak/lobster. I felt like I was on my own private island. Would definitely do the Beach Club again.

I know the Encore is new, but for those who have sailed her, what did you like/dislike about the ship? We are looking at a 2022 Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Encore and would like to hear from anyone who has sailed on this ship. Thank you for your replies.

Bermuda. Loved the beauty, culture and history of this island. Always felt safe here. No one pestering you to buy something all the time. Liked that we were docked here for two nights and almost three days, which gave us plenty of time to tour the island. Went there twice on NCL Escape.

Excellent review of the CoCo Cay Beach Club. It was spot on! We also were at the Beach Club during our Symphony of the Seas sailing on 2/28/20. We were also one of the first to arrive at the beach club and managed to snag one of the six double beds by the pool. As I looked at the beach chairs in front of us, I could see the flags on them. I wondered what they were for, but you answered my question. We also paid $50.99 pp and felt we got more than our money's worth. Would I pay $199 pp? I'd really have to give that some serious thought.

We also did the Beach Club at Coco Cay on our recent cruise on Symphony of the Seas. We lucked out on Black Friday with the $50.99 pp deal. From what I understand, they limit how many ppl they admit to the Beach Club. Not crowded at all. The other beaches on Coco Cay were shoulder-to-shoulder ppl. Meal was excellent. Highly recommend.

Just got off Symphony of the Seas this past Saturday. 6,600-plus pax and 2,200 crew. Everyone seemed extra cautious about hand-washing. I brought extra Lysol wipes and wiped down our cabin every day (door knobs, tv remote, balcony railing, etc.). Didn't eat in any of the main dining rooms or Windjammer. Did all specialty dining, which helped avoid germs being spread by people coughing/sneezing on food. I was constantly washing my hands. Enjoy your cruise. Just take precautions.

Thank you so much for your detailed review. You answered a lot of questions I had about Symphony. We are sailing on the Symphony this Saturday (2/22/20) except our stop includes CoCo Cay instead of Labadee. The other port are the same (St. Maarten/Puerto Rico). We are so excited since this is our first Royal cruise.

Has anyone experienced the Mandara Spa of the new Encore? If so, how was it and what was the cost? Thank you in advance for all your replies.
Cabin 8738 balcony question
in Norwegian Cruise Line

Has anyone stayed in Cabin 8738 on either the Escape, Bliss or Encore? The deck plans for all three ships look alike for Cabin 8738. We are particularly interested in Cabin 8738 on the Bliss because it looks like an angled balcony. Thank you in advance for replies.
