Hello, I will be cruising on the Oasis with a friend who is a first time cruiser in April. I would love to stay in a hotel where we will be able to see the ship docked in the morning from our room. Any suggestions?

Living on Long Island, I have been to many Broadway plays. Although musicals are definitely my favorite, I never managed to get to see CATS! The sole reason why my friend and I booked the Oasis over the Allure was to see that show! Reading all of these negative reviews (although we both tend to have very different opinions from the critics of most movies and shows) has been very disheartening. So I have ordered the book by T.S Elliott and the dvd version of the original Broadway play. I am sure that by familiarizing ourselves with the lesser known of the songs and the show itself, we will both love seeing it in person on the Oasis! At least I hope so! It couldn't possibly be as bad as these people are saying, knowing its award and longevity history!

Micah, Oh my! This is by far the best review I have ever read! You should do this for a living! (What fun would that be?) You have definitely inspired me to look into my big trip for 2017, on the POA and discovering Oahu. Thank you so much for a wonderful review!!

Hi APDMOM, Yes, by Chops. Thank you so much. I have been wondering about this for months!

Hello! I hope you have a great trip. Are you on the Haiti route or the St. Thomas route? Could you do me a huge favor? I have booked a stateroom very close to the rear of Central Park on deck 8 and am dying to see what the entrance to CP from there looks. On the ship deck plans, it appears to be a solid wall, with no entry to CP. I have been assured (on Cruise Critic) that there is direct access to CP but would love a description or photo! Thank you, in advance, if you feel like looking into this for me.

Hi,
Thanks for a great review. I am booked in the cabin next to yours, 8664. I booked it purposefully because of its proximity to Central Park and the elevators. But, after booking I noticed, from the deck plans, it looks like a solid wall separates the rooms from Central Park. I am sure that is not true, but could you explain? Is it an open entrance into CP? Are there doors? You don't have a picture, do you?

Subscribing to your review. My trip is only in the "someday" stage.

Hi, Does Sorrentos have more than pizza? Any other Italian dishes?

Sounds ridiculously expensive for an inside cabin on any ship to me!

Carnival has this great new mobile app on some ships, soon all. It allows passengers to check on shows, reservations, spending and offers texting among passengers. Does Royal Caribbean have anything like that?

I hear what all these seasoned RC passengers are saying but have to add my two cents. I had a D1 cabin on deck 8 booked on the Oasis for a cruise last year (September 2013) and we had to cancel it. In January, I rebooked the same room for an April 2016 cruise for a savings of more than $400 per person. So, I am very happy with the BOGO.

What a nice birthday gift to yourself! How did you win? Did you enter a contest a million times?

Thank you Doc!

I would love to see it! Where did you find it? Thanks.

Hello everyone,
I am planning a trip on NCL POA for next year. I am wondering which months are best for whale sightings, waterfalls, weather and beaches, in that order. Thanks for any input!

When I booked our Oasis cruise, 15 months in advance, I was told that late dining was already full. There was room in MTD and early seating (too early for us). I found it really strange that most staterooms seemed to still be available, yet my preferred dining option was full. We are cruising on a non-holiday week, in the middle of April.

If you reserve Chops for the first night before the cruise and then find a discount coupon of any sort upon boarding, I am assuming that you can use the coupon to reduce your original charge. Am I right?

Hi,
How do you choose the nights you want to eat at a specialty restaurant? Do you look at dining room menus first? Sea days? Port days?

Loved your review! It was entertaining and informative. I have one question. Is the Izumi restaurant hibachi style, where they cook your food on large grill in front of you? Your review made me think about going there for the scallops and lobster!

We, and everyone else in my family, have always used the same Carnival PVP that helped us book our first cruise with the. She is great! Very knowledgeable and very helpful.. Saves us money whenever she can! Just call Carnival and you will get one.

According to John Heald, on Facebook, the itineraries will be available on February 12th. I do hope there is a normal 7-8 day cruise from NY as I can't do 11 days!

I am a huge fan of the fountains at Bellagio and, although I know there is no comparison, definitely want to see the Dancing Waters while on the Oasis. Is there a schedule for these shows? How often can they be seen? Nightly?
Thanks.
