  1. Glad to read all the positive comments regarding Princess transfers! We signed up for transfers through Princess (airport to hotel, hotel to ship, then ship to airport). I like not having to worry about anything before or after the cruise!

  2. My very first cruise was on Dolphin, with my mom. It was a group of senior citizens from the mobile home park where my mom lived (after my dad passed away). I was the youngest of the group, at 25, and my mom was second youngest, at 53. Oh what a time we had! We traveled by bus from Bradenton to Miami. Mom and I were seated at a table of elderly ladies who didn't hear very well...poor waiter had to repeat the dessert options over and over and over again...every single night. [emoji15]There was a terrible storm and flooding in one of the ports (somewhere in the Bahamas) and when we came out of our dinner show excursion the water was up to our calves! Needless to say, the ship was rocking and rolling that night. Ahhhh...such wonderful memories. Mom's no longer with us, so I remember that cruise with much love!

Hi there! We're booked there at Embassy Suites for the night before we set sail on the Regal in March. Our flight arrives in Ft. Lauderdale at 6pm. After we check in, we're heading to Total Wine & More for our cruise necessities and then, a bite to eat. From what I've read, Total Wine, as well as several restaurants, are within walking distance. Out of 5 of us, 1 has a bad back and 2 have bad knees! Would you be able to tell me how far "walking distance" actually is?! Thanks very much! I hope you had a glorious cruise!

  4. It was mentioned, if I understood right, that you could get a Cabana, food/drinks for a party of 5 for $89.00, is that correct?

Do the Cabanas comes in different sizes? Do they charge pp that use the Cabana, and if so, how much pp? Also, do they furnish the lounge chair in them along with the pp charge or what?

Glad to read we can bring in packaged snacks.

As for the vendors, do they have a set price, or will they bargain? Just needing to know this "ahead" of time, as I am making all kinds of note. :)

With us having 8 people (I'm sure at least 3 or more will be using the pool - thanks for the NICE pictures that were shown as well), they are expecting ME to get all kinds of answers for them in regard to Amber Cove. :)

The food/drinks was $89...I believe the cabanas start at $249.

  5. Not an up sell...but a pretty pleasant surprise! We were booked in Balcony Cabins for March 5, 2017 on Regal Princess. Found a lower price ($40 less per cabin) for Deluxe Balcony. Contacted TA. TA contacted Princess. Princess Rep found past guest special. So, we're now in Deluxe Balcony Cabins and saved $200 a piece! Yay! Upgraded cabin at a much lower price...SCORE!!!

  6. My very first cruise was on the Dolphin out of Miami to the Bahamas. My dad passed away in 1981 and my mom was living in Florida at the time. I went with her, I believe in 1982, on a trip with senior citizens from her mobile home village in Ruskin FL. I was the youngest in the group at age 25; my mom was second youngest at age 53. (We were seated at a table with women ranging in ages from I'd say 70-100!) We ran into a bad storm and the cruising was less than smooth. Although it wasn't totally perfect, it did provide me with some quality time with my mom, and some family friends (who have since passed on). (My mom and I still share stories about that trip!) Plus it introduced me to cruising. (And, that can't be bad!!) :)
