  1. We had to cancel our trip this Fall and now am looking to rebook for next year. I know the Edge is going to be the new beauty in the fleet with all new innovations but ... I just priced a verandah cabin on the edge and it is $4249 for 14 days and the Reflection is $1739 for 13 days. I had heard the prices were high but I was amazed. I’m don’t think I could justify the price for us. I think I’ll be sailing older ships for a long time ...

We also were going to the Mediterranean next year and looked at Edge! The price was ridiculous so we booked the Reflection for September 2019! All the other ships are still beautiful!

  2. My mom and I are going on our first trip to Europe this October on a 12-night cruise! We’re two fit, adventurous Americans who love walking, window shopping, and taking pictures of quaint and quirky side streets and alleyways. We perfer smaller, local, village-style experiences to touristy or big-city-style jaunts, though we enjoy both.

Our ship docks in Barcelona for two days, and we want to explore on our own rather than do any shore excursions. We’d also like to walk everywhere, if possible. Have any must-see’s for us?

I agree with cruisemom42! Barcelona is a big city but many areas are like small towns. We have been there twice and love walking Las Ramblas from the beginning by the sea up to Playa Cataluna ! The architecture is amazing and watching the street performers is great! Sagrada Familia is a must! We were there in 2003 & 2006 and each time amazed at work. Now you can actually tour the people church!

I always get Rick Steves guidebook! His webpage forum is also very informative!

  3. Had problem yesterday with the Celebrity website so I called up. I was told they are redoing the website and apologized for the inconvenience! Said by June 1st will be updated and redesigned!

I signed in a few minutes ago and to my surprise a new website with my accurate information! So far looks very nice!!!

  4. Hydrokitty,

Southwest does not fly out of Stewart Airport but does out of LaGuardia! We are going on the 14 Day Eclipse Caribbean cruise on March 19th.

I have to wait for Southwest and Jet Blue to update their schedules.

Prices on the other airlines seems to be going up even higher now!

Virgin America has nice prices but only one flight each day. Their return flight leaves for NY at 9:30AM and would not make it!

  5. We also are cruising out of Miami in March from NY! The airline prices in to Miami are making us think about driving. We are waiting to see what Jet Blues price and schedule is once published. Presently they are only up to Feb 15. Hopper.com keeps on saying prices will drop.

Thanks for recommendations for shutting from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami.

  6. Turtle06 is correct that the National Park Service Senior Pass is well worth it! For $10 it is good for life and with few visits to National Parks , National Resources it pays for itself. If you go to beach in St. John's you can use it there also!

  7. My wife and myself have stayed here and found it great! From the rooftop where pool is located you have great view of San Juan! You are just short walk in to Old San Juan. There is a trolley that you can take to El Moro! I walked around during the day and night and did not feel like it was dangerous! I think Carnival docks across road from this hotel!

  8. Old San Juan Sheraton a very nice hotel and casino situated across street from where cruise ship dock for day! It is in Old Town San Juan! Plenty to see!

Is your ship normally home ported in San Juan? It may be docked over at the old Pan American Pier which is nearer to Condado Beach.

  9. Just off the Reflection this past Saturday! We had originally received email, text and call telling me to come to ship between 12-3PM. We were able to get taxi and were at port by 11:15AM. There were passengers still waiting for rides outside terminal. We were able to do entire checkin and get onboard by 11:30AM. Those who arrived later in afternoon had longer wait to Checkin!

  10. Thanks everyone! I go on the Reflection next month! Most likely will buy before cruise! Will look at Best Buy or Walmart to see if they give gift cards or something as incentive to buy.

  11. Last year we were on the Equinox and noticed the Celebrity Photo Shop was selling the GoPro Hero3 Black.

Does any who was recently on a Celebrity Cruise know if they are selling the GoPro Hero 4 Black or Silver and for what price?

    Thanks!

  12. I parked in the second lot closer to the building. After parking went thru the fence walkway and dropped off my bags. Short time later was thru checkin and on shuttle to ship. When I was checking in many cars were backed up waiting to drop off their luggage.

  13. Celebrity deals in U.S. $$$ on their ships. The casino only uses $$$. When we were on Med cruise previously you could exchange $$$ for Euro's. I purchased a few 100 $ 's in Euros at home and used my credit card for better rates. Never had any problems.
