Maybe if you don't have room on a credit card, someone else close to you does. They can pay it off and you make payments (covering interest) to them. I know how disappointing it is to cancel a cruise (I cancelled my May cruise[emoji17] due to scheduling) but if you have to cancel, talk to Carnival about booking a future cruise before Final payment using your deposit. I did[emoji16]!

Yay!! Have a great cruise!

When is final payment or are you already past it? What's the total amount due and maybe you could take that number, divide by three (3 months) then see if it's attainable. Something we do is cook stuff out of the freezer, pantry whatever. Just don't buy groceries and there is some extra $$$. Hope it works out for you!

OP, yes the kids club is open during dinner, except for the first night I believe, so they can eat there if you all wish. You can request a table of four by emailing the maitre d of your ship a week ahead of your sail date. If you are not at a table of four when you embark, make a request.
Do a search for maitre d, the 2 letter code for the ships should come on up Cruise Critic.
Have a wonderful cruise!

Sakari's art work is amazing!! She has such attention to detail. I showed her work to my mom (who is an artist) and we both agreed that we would have thought this was work from an adult.
Love her photos too! Thx for writing a great review!

A tervis tumbler is good for getting coffee in the morning and for keeping a drink cold later when you are relaxing in the sun. Bring a visor to protect your face. Both of these you can buy on board as well.
Have a great cruise!

Our last cruise over Thanksgiving 2016, we did a dream photo shoot. We loved all of the pics but I said I couldn't buy a $900 package. The photographer eventually said we could pick 7 photos for $200. If we could do something like that next cruise, I would. Totally worth it to me.

Thanks. We can book with Liberty Tours but there are only two of us so it's $120 per person to go to The Blue Hole and tubing. Is that the usual charge?
Thanks!
We just did the Blue Hole, no tubing. We bought our lunch at Scotchies and shopped for a t shirt. Maybe that's why it's pricier.

We loved our excursion to the Blue Hole with Liberty Tours in Ocho Rios. Carnival didn't offer this excursion and I had read on the Ports of Call board how wonderful it was. Ricardo at Liberty Tours kept in touch with me before my cruise and Michelle our driver took great care with my party of me , DH, 2 teenage DDs and my 76 year old mom.
In Grand Cayman we went to Stingray City with Captain Marvin which was great. The marine chop was too high another cruise so our excursion was cancelled. We spent the day at Royal Palms relaxing on the beach.
Have a great cruise!

Tracy looked beautiful at dinner, she is very pretty in all her pictures.
I agree, Tracy looks great in all her pics and that dinner photo was lovely!

We were on the Sunshine in early December and asked him the same question on the first day. He was very short with us and said "he didn't know". We were there every night and had a great repor with Boyan and Diana but Alexandr remained unfriendly and somewhat rude. And even scolded both of the others right in front of us one night. Quite unprofessional.
Good to know we weren't the only ones confused by Alexandru. I detailed our experience on my comment card on line to Carnival. I hope the next Carnival cruise we take allows us to take part in the Master Mixologist class. Thanks for sharing your experience, mimxmom!

I get this after every cruise. Once it lasted for almost a month before it went away! On cruises since that time, I take gravol before bed the first night after the cruise and it goes right away thankfully. I've alway felt it was odd that motion on the ship doesn't bother me, but being on land afterwards does!
Now I feel better knowing I'm not alone! Usually the odd sensation after a cruise only lasts a few days, but this time it has lasted close to a month. I'll try the ginger next time after a cruise and if that doesn't help, maybe the gravol. Thanks all for the insight!

We love the Alchemy Bar as well! The past two cruises we have taken part in the Master Mixologist class, usually held on the last sea day around 2:00 pm. You are part of a small class at the Alchemy Bar, learn a little, laugh and drink a lot. This last Thanksgiving cruise on Sunshine we told Alexandru that we wanted to sign up for the class. He said it wasn't definite and that he got to know people before he would decide to do it. We had never encountered this but we shrugged and said okay. We went to the Alchemy every night, got to know Alexandru but the class was never mentioned again. On the last sea day we walked past the Alchemy Bar a little after 2:00 and nothing was happening. We thought it was odd that such a fun class wouldn't be run. Has this happened to anyone else?

We did. Pulled up, dropped off our bags with the porters and basically walked on board. I think this was before 12:30. There were still long lines at this time and we were expedited past them.
Hope that gives you some insight[emoji3]

And we missed GT over Thanksgiving cruise because of high winds. Another Carnival ship had been waiting to see if it could dock, but didn't. Our captain decided to move on fairly quickly and we had a day at sea. Just one of those things...

Good thing I have the option to disagree . My wife use to have the same opinion you had until the past events occurred .
I concur, better safe than sorry!

Where is the Sunshine? Thx!

For me, enhanced turn-down service would mean Hugh Jackman tucks me into bed and sings me a lullaby!
Then my DH would want Selma Hayek. This could get messy[emoji12]

Good response A&Jfamily! I have only cruised on RC and Carnival and I agree with your observations about those two. Someday (when DH and I cruise without our DDs) we will try other lines, like Princess.

Great! Thx!

Does this affect domestic flights? My 16 year old has a drivers permit but my 14 year old just has a birth certificate. We live in South Carolina. Do I need to get my children passports to fly from Charlotte to Chicago in May 2017? Thanks !

I googled it. Very funny. Never heard of it[emoji15]

Sitting at night on my balcony, hearing the waves crash against the ship and looking up into the stars. With a glass of champagne[emoji2]

I think there is a lot of salt used in food preparation and that will cause water retention. I bet if you go back to your regular healthy meals you will drop a couple pounds quickly. Drinking a lot of water will help as well.
I hope you had a great cruise!

If you don't have a robe waiting in your room, ask your stateroom attendant for one each. It's nice to wrap up in if it's a little breezy and you can enjoy your balcony even longer. Remember that you each get to bring a bottle of wine/champagne in your carry on.
Have a great cruise!
