not sure if you saw my thread on the same itinerary on the breeze. if not, here is the video link.
In aruba the off road safari was great!

What an awesome video! I hope our first cruise goes exactly like that.....lotsa fun!!! :)
enjoy your first cruise. hope you have better weather the first few days though :)

Fantastic! I see you were in a Cove with 4 people. What cabin were you in and was it cramped?
We were on floor 2 directly across from midship elevators. Great location (just a lot of stairs to get up to lido) and the room was ample for 4. Storage space was at a slight premium though as the drawers are pretty shallow.
Balcony size was great though compared to non-cove ones.

Great video, can't wait for our journey on the Dream in a few weeks. Loved the ice cream and the black and white sequences.
Bravo...Bravo.......Bravo.
thanks! My DH said he got strange looks from the chefs at Capitano restaurant as they were preparing for lunch and he was making a mess of a table "making" his 1900's version of self-serve soft serve! :)
Enjoy your cruise in a few weeks on the Dream. We have a video from a few years back on the dream as well if you are interested.

A "first time" cruiser's comical GoPro video perspective of what to expect on your first Carnival cruise (or other similar cruises)..... This is from Holiday December exotic southern caribbean cruise....

Thanks for posting. After sailing with you on the Breeze this time last year and then seeing my wife's cousin on the table in the spa as he video'd around the ship, made me spit a mouthful of beer all over the screen as I watched it. His skills in making these are envied.
Glad you came back for round 2.... errr... this is his first video from his first cruise :-) Favorite part from this year's vid?

Thanks! Did you get to the Titanic scenes yet? He didn't tell me what he was planning so I had no idea what was going on in his warped head most of the trip! :)

Just back from Carnival Breeze Dec. 19th holiday exotic 8 day southern caribbean! My DH again made a vacation video that is part cruise log, part homage to classic comedy movies and TV, part random interactions with the crew and part shore excursion fun!
Check out the video link below! Enjoy and let me know any questions you have about the boat or the itinerary.
His comment below:
"Experience all that Cruising on the Carnival Breeze and the Caribbean has to offer through the slightly (or more than slightly) warped perspective of a "Cruise Virgin" with an affinity for classic comedy movies, random nonsense, Seinfeld episodes and a GoPro not on a selfie stick or strapped to my head!"

as of Saturday, The Breeze leaving out of Miami Dec 19 for 8 days had rooms for 2 available, (no 4) but never checked 3. We have a great roll call going if you get on. Good Luck!
-
If they can get it they will show it in the EA Sportsbar.
I have been on the ship trying to watch a game and what they told me was it depends on where they are to what channels they can get. Even with the ship being out of Miami we were somewhere in the Caribbean and could not get a Miami Dolphins game.

We have been on multiple NYE cruises, I don't believe they changed any of the normal formal nights. A few it just landed on it. But some people want to dress up on that night also and did so. For me being on deck, jammed packed I always change into comfortable clothes.
If you want to see what NYE was like last year on the Breeze check out our video.

Do you have any suggestions? THanks!
Hi did you find anything to do?
I think we are on with you and i'm also trying to find something different to do with the kids we haven't done there before but the times make it hard
-
Do you remember how much it was per person?
are they at scubacodotcom?
do you think this is something kids 14 & 16 would like?
-
I have a 14 and 16 year old boys. They have been sailing since they were very young. There thing is always go the 1st night to the meet and greet for the kids. Every sailing is different and there they find some kids to hang around with in and out of the clubs. They look at the schedule and do the activities that interest them. Otherwise they do their own thing. But there has yet to be a cruise where they have not made new friends!
FYI it also depends on the time of year and where you are sailing to how many kids on board. We go winter and spring break so there are normally over 1,000 kids onboard. If you go during the normal school year and/or a route that is less kid friendly there might be only 30 kids onboard.

We have had 2 different cove Balcony's on the Breeze both under the galley. One we must of been under a chopping station, but it was during the day when we are in/out of the cabin. Nights they are not in there so it's quiet. Didn't bother us at all
-
Just off the Glory, they told me this was the first sailing with no chocolate :(
We were on the Breeze for New Years and did have them but who knows if they still have it now
-
They are not actually a pull out sofa. What it is a twin mattress that the couch pillows go on top of during the day. Same mattress that is on the beds.

Question? So those of you who believe the day a child turns 18 they should no longer be hanging around anyone younger...So in your states do they have a separate high school that your kids transfer to on their 18th birthday till they graduate? Or did you just make them drop out because they can't be around anyone younger because of what ifs? And if that's the case then how can you consider that 18 year old responsible if they can't be trusted around someone a day younger than them?
Please help me out here I'd love to know where your from and how they do it there

As you can see from my signature I have been on many cruises including 22 CCL. My children started cruising at 6 months old and are now 13 & 16. What you and your family choose to wear on ELEGANT NIGHT (not formal, not black tie) is up to you and your family.
My family is on vacation and we choose to wear casual clothes to dinner
My sons like to wear dress shorts and polo shirts and elegant nights khaki or black pants and a button down shirt and yes my sons have worn flip flops and sneakers on elegant nights. I usually bring 1 dress and 1 nice pant outfit and depending on the seas you could see me in flip flops (when it is rough, i'm not going to break my neck wearing heals on a rocking ship)
Some cruise lines are strict with their policies some have none, I have never seen CCL turn someone away in the MDR. What is Elegant to you may not be to me and vice versa. We have seen prom dresses on 40 year old women to dresses that look like they are going to a night club on South Beach to very simple sundresses or pant outfits. In Texas a nice pair of jeans and cowboy hat is Elegant for some.
Who are you to say what is not ELEGANT for them?
A "5 star restaurant" has absolutely nothing to do with the clothes people wear who choose to dine there. It is ALL about the food...which tastes the same whether you are wearing a gown, furs, and diamonds or just a sundress and sandals.
That is very well said! I have been to many "5 star restaurants" and you know what the people who go there once a year for a special occasion dress up. The people who eat there on a regular basis, guess what they wear? Sometimes what they wore to work or what ever they had on that day including jeans (gasp!!!) And guess what it's fine and doesn't ruin any ones night.
As far as I know, the cruise elegant dress code applies only to the MDR and the Steakhouse (I've heard the Steakhouse has a nicer dress code every night, though I've never been to confirm this). All other open food venues are normal dress. Which ones are open for dinner I think depends on the ship.
The steak house you can wear dress shorts or jeans and on elegant nights they ask you to dress a little nicer, and yes they did ask my son to change out of shorts on an elegant night but not other nights. And yes I have worn my Fit Flops in there!
It is your VACATION do what is comfortable for you and your family and have a great time, we do!:D
Just Back!- Breeze Holiday Cruise and my DH's video wackiness again!
