  1. Another vote for Nachi Cocom in Cozumel. My suggestion for Roatan would be Maya Chan and for Belize it would be Goff's Caye. We book all of these independently.

I vote for Nachi Cocum also. Maya Key is in Roatan and also gets my vote but you can't book it independently anymore. Only through RCI. Maya Chan is in Costa Maya.

  2. Any strategy for getting close enough to actually see/hear him? Can you enjoy his music and fun without actually being in the pub?

We have gotten pretty good at snagging a seat outside the pub just close enough that we can see and hear but aren't in much danger of becoming a "superstar". :p:D

I'm so sad that we are going to just miss him on our b2b.

  3. [quote name='TexasAnn']Thanks for the quickie review. I am especially interested in what fellow Texans say about Sabor. Living in San Antonio I'm having a hard time getting hubby into trying this on a cruise ship!

Another Texan chiming in to say that we love Sabor! It's not traditional Tex-Mex but it's really, really good!! We enjoyed it so much on Navigator we went back another night.
  4. We book whatever works best for us with the times we want and amenities. That's often private and sometimes ship excursions. We did the deluxe tour through Navigator in October. It was perfect. It wasn't crowded. We spent a lot of time with the rays and our guide was amazing. I loved the boat we went out on. It was a great tour and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

  5. Beachie - I have bad news for you. You HAVE to take a Galveston cruise again because you did not experience Derek Lewis. That is a requirement. :D

Thanks again for a great review and pics.

Sorry, but this is absolutely true. Derek Lewis is the BEST part of cruising out of Galveston. :)

You'll just have to go again. :)

Thank you for a fabulous review!! One of the best I have ever followed.

  6. We can't wait to come back to Galveston. We sailed on Voyager many years ago and it was one of our favorite trips. We met some very nice people while on board. That time we did a park & cruise, this time we are looking to park closer to the ship so we can be on the road quicker (yes, we are crazy people who drive to our ports from Wisconsin). Where would you recommend we consider parking?

We have used EZ Cruise many times and always have been pleased. This last cruise we used Galveston Park N Cruise. It's literally right across the street and we were able to do inside parking for a little extra. Well worth it to us. We always drive to the terminal, drop off our luggage and then go park. You do have to walk across the street or at least one of you does. They were making us cross at the Carnival pier so there is a little walk involved but not bad if you are able. We use the parking places even when we stay in hotels that offer free cruise parking. Hate waiting on those shuttles!! We want to get off the ship and hit the road!

  7. But how do you know your login information?

I could be remembering this totally wrong, but I think I had to enter my folio number and then set up a user name and password when I first logged on. But it's been a year so don't hold me to that! :D

Theresa522, it looks like you are Diamond. I will most likely purchase the wifi on our cruise this weekend but I always wait until I'm onboard to get the Diamond discount. Did you get it when you purchased online?
