Ohh you're right, I'm getting all of my Chans and Cayes mixed up. I actually meant Little French Key in Roatan and if you were going to Costa Maya, my choice is Maya Chan!!!

I know!! I get them mixed up all the time! Luckily, they are all wonderful!! :D

Another vote for Nachi Cocom in Cozumel. My suggestion for Roatan would be Maya Chan and for Belize it would be Goff's Caye. We book all of these independently.

I vote for Nachi Cocum also. Maya Key is in Roatan and also gets my vote but you can't book it independently anymore. Only through RCI. Maya Chan is in Costa Maya.

While I have loved every ship I have been on, Allure is by far my favorite so I will say Oasis class.

Quick update... Sabor is great. Internet is fine. Internet isn't fantastic but it will work. Just had a FaceTime call that lasted about 15 minutes and it was good. Calling back using VerizonWifi and this seems to be working.

Are you using surf or surf and stream?

Thanks for doing this! I'll be following along. A friend of ours is on your cruise. We have a bit of a wait yet for ours. Have fun!!

Thanks for pulling all this info together and posting it on your website!! Great job!!

Any strategy for getting close enough to actually see/hear him? Can you enjoy his music and fun without actually being in the pub?

We have gotten pretty good at snagging a seat outside the pub just close enough that we can see and hear but aren't in much danger of becoming a "superstar". :p:D
I'm so sad that we are going to just miss him on our b2b.

[quote name='TexasAnn']Thanks for the quickie review. I am especially interested in what fellow Texans say about Sabor. Living in San Antonio I'm having a hard time getting hubby into trying this on a cruise ship!

Another Texan chiming in to say that we love Sabor! It's not traditional Tex-Mex but it's really, really good!! We enjoyed it so much on Navigator we went back another night. -
I agree with everyone else. I absolutely love the Allure and I never felt crowded on her at all. If anything, I feel more crowded on the smaller ships. She's amazing and a b2b would be my idea of heaven. :)

We book whatever works best for us with the times we want and amenities. That's often private and sometimes ship excursions. We did the deluxe tour through Navigator in October. It was perfect. It wasn't crowded. We spent a lot of time with the rays and our guide was amazing. I loved the boat we went out on. It was a great tour and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.
-
Another vote for Stingray City!! It really is a "must do" IMO. We did it through the ship also only because it worked better for us for the times we needed. It was a great tour and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. We had missed GC on several previous cruises and finally made it there last October. Being with the Rays was worth the wait!

That would have been nice on our b2b but no saving on either of ours.

Beachie - I have bad news for you. You HAVE to take a Galveston cruise again because you did not experience Derek Lewis. That is a requirement. :D
Thanks again for a great review and pics.
Sorry, but this is absolutely true. Derek Lewis is the BEST part of cruising out of Galveston. :)
You'll just have to go again. :)
Thank you for a fabulous review!! One of the best I have ever followed.

Thanks for posting! Great review so far! We are doing a b2b in the fall and I'm so excited to see Liberty info and pics!

We can't wait to come back to Galveston. We sailed on Voyager many years ago and it was one of our favorite trips. We met some very nice people while on board. That time we did a park & cruise, this time we are looking to park closer to the ship so we can be on the road quicker (yes, we are crazy people who drive to our ports from Wisconsin). Where would you recommend we consider parking?
We have used EZ Cruise many times and always have been pleased. This last cruise we used Galveston Park N Cruise. It's literally right across the street and we were able to do inside parking for a little extra. Well worth it to us. We always drive to the terminal, drop off our luggage and then go park. You do have to walk across the street or at least one of you does. They were making us cross at the Carnival pier so there is a little walk involved but not bad if you are able. We use the parking places even when we stay in hotels that offer free cruise parking. Hate waiting on those shuttles!! We want to get off the ship and hit the road!

We did the All-Access tour on Allure and it was basically all the previous poster listed. Worth every penny. We both loved it!
-
We are booked on Liberty out of Galveston on 9/25/16 and Belize is a port. To be honest, I really would have preferred Costa Maya but we couldn't sail the weeks it's offered.
-
Oddly...none. But that will change. :D
I'm not having any problems with the OP.

Our experience with WiFi on Navigator was that it was still very slow. Not yet upgraded like Oasis class.
That's what I was afraid of.
-
We had the Wi-Fi package on Navigator two weeks ago. There was a letter in our room with the log in information when we arrived.
How was the wifi on Navigator? We had it on both of our Allure cruises and it was very reliable and the speed was good. Was it the same on Navigator?
-
But how do you know your login information?
I could be remembering this totally wrong, but I think I had to enter my folio number and then set up a user name and password when I first logged on. But it's been a year so don't hold me to that! :D
Theresa522, it looks like you are Diamond. I will most likely purchase the wifi on our cruise this weekend but I always wait until I'm onboard to get the Diamond discount. Did you get it when you purchased online?

 You crazy Texans
I guess we are because I had my husband take me in too! :D (no one else was in there)
Thanks for the review. We are up next!!

I watched her today too. Two more weeks and it will be us!!

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 before both of our Allure cruises. We loved it and would definitely stay there again if we were cruising out of Fort Lauderdale.
