Sad to report they will not take us to Jaime’s😢

We wandered around the port & got vanilla, omeprazol (Prilosec that I take daily & forgot🙄) &

LV knockoff bag. Lady didn’t counter my lowball counter so I know they r desperate for sales—I was expecting to pay more!

    It was a HOT walk.
Pier is about .5 mi. Walk.

Between our SV cabin & the walk to & around port  we got 3 miles already in today.

Thankfully breeze came up on walk back to ship.

How many seconds in a year?

(Capt Kate’s riddle yesterday—missed the answer)

    is it 24? 12?

    (remember, riddle, not math)

Dan says time to go do something—I’m off!

Was this Costa maya?  Wish they had a golf cart shuttle or something like that.  The last time we were on the Edge the public rooms were freezing in the evening.  How are they now?  Thanks.

Absolutely,  call special needs at Celebrity.  The issue is not getting the 50' to the terminal but long lines and distance to the ship.  A wheelchair will bypass most of the line to check in.

Thanks.  Didnt know there was a special needs department.   Now the trick will be finding their number.  If anyone has an easy way to reach them...please post.

Lest you think we are normally suite people, this is the second time in 33 cruises that we have had a suite.  It is not our norm and I don’t have any VIP expectations.  I simply am comparing my experience to previous cruises post Covid.  If I came across as entitled that was not my intent nor my expectation.

Thank you so much for your honest info.  We have a saying..."ya pays your money and ya gets tortured".  Suites or not...no one should be subjected to standing in the hot florida sun waiting to go on vacation.  It's almost impossible to show up on the dot when people are flying or driving to the port.  It's obvious that celebrity is short of personnel.  Thanks again.

I misread your post.  I thought you were referring to the shops in Costa Maya.

To me, Tiffany is always way overpriced, on the ship, in Chicago, in NYC, etc.  Ask a female and she’ll tell you their quality supports their prices.  I really don’t know.  I think ALL jewelry is overpriced regardless of where it’s sold.  There’s just no way to compare apples to apples with jewelry.  Jewelers have given me a magnifying loop to look at their wares.  I still fon’t know what I’m looking at, and I doubt 99% of us wouldn’t either.

i know what my GF likes.  I’ll spend the money to get it for her because I care for her and she deserves it.  That’s all I know!

Any $10 souvenier tee shirts?  Last time we were onboard...2 years ago...the gift shops on board were crazy outrageous.  Nobody in them unless desperate.

  5. We are elite plus and will be on the Edge in August.   In the past there has been no need for a liquor package but with the new pricing we now have a classic package.  Any suggestions as to what to order?  Is Baileys included?  We used to order sidecars from the Captains club menu.  Are non alcoholic drinks included?  Any tasty info will be appreciated by these 2 Classic newbies.

Elite, elite+ and Zenith still have other perks to take advantage of besides the 2 hour CC HH and 2 hour  unlimited CC HH drinks and limited free WiFi. The Sky Lounge will still be open for your enjoyment. Bring your own snack.

Oh that is so funny.  I'll be sure to stop at Costco before boarding

  7. We will be in Kotor in a couple of weeks.  Our first time.  What did you do?  Ship questions..what time are the shows and is the international cafe still wonderful? Any word about seating in the showroom?  Before I close, thank you so much for sharing.  This is such a wonderful treat and definitely heightening our expectations.   Regards.

We popped on and off a few times without the slightest delay....on the promenade deck, one medallion reader. I did hear one older lady kvetch, but it was about how far she had to walk to get off the ship. What did she expect, to be plopped down right in front of her tour bus!?

It WAS a long walk and then thru a souvenir tent.  Some day you may "kvetch."
