  1. Is there a way to create a link in the signature to cruises you have taken. I have copied the URL and pasted it, but the results say "page not found." Thanks Jacki
  2. Glad you enjoyed it. As I mentioned above, we will also be on the Majestic just before you -in January. Not been on that ship before but it is sure getting some negative publicity on this board. But still looking forward to it. Jack
  3. As I mentioned above - it depends on this upcoming trip. This cruise was 32 days and mostly sea days. I think there were only six or seven ports and the rest were sea days. I think Jill got a little bored. Our upcoming 32 day trip has 22 ports and 10 sea days. And it starts off with 12 consecutive port days in a row! I dare here to get bored!😀 Jack
  4. Thanks! Glad you liked it. I looked up that cruise in 2026? It looks like a great trip! We have another 32 day trip coming up and I'll see how that one goes before looking at anything longer. Jack
  5. Well, perhaps you can say it to me in person - I will be on the Majestic with you in January. However, I have to admit I am a little bummed out after reading the "Majestic Princess...Pros and Cons" thread! Maybe I need to rebook on a ship that doesn't reek of chlorine! 😂 Jack
  6. We have done this trip twice - both in April and the weather was spectacular both times. Never done it in October, but Chamina has. Maybe she can give you some insight about that time of year. I would suspect that it would be equally as great or Princess would not schedule the trip for that part of the year.. Chamina? Jack
  7. I think we were on the same cruise. A crew member of ill and we had to divert to another island to airlift him back to Tahiti. Then we all got on the phones to reschedule air flights home.As I recall we also had noro on that trip as well! Jack
  8. You are right on about the South American stuff. I still can't believe the price of those coats - $9:00! Of course I live in Arizona and will never have need to wear it, but how could I pass it up! I was thinking of buying two - one of each color, but Jill wouldn't let me.😀 Jack
  9. Glad you enjoyed it. Maybe we had a chance meeting at the Meet and Greet? Jack
  10. Glad you enjoyed it! It you missed it, my last review from last year is on the Azamara board. Jack
  11. I'm not sure I understood your comment. Could you elaborate? Jack
  12. Glad you enjoyed it. I will leave out any mention of the toilet paper on any review I write of our upcoming cruise on the Majestic.😀 Jack
  13. I agree about the sailing vs flying, I really don't like the long hours sitting in a plane. I think I already answered the question about Tahiti.😀 Jack
  14. Sounds great! A very romantic story. I did the special dessert once, but once was enough for me. We also have a 32 day trip coming up and are looking forward to it. Quite a few more ports and fewer sea days this time around, Jack
  15. I have heard from several other people regarding the same thing - glad the propulsion system lasted till LA!😀
  16. Hope you enjoy them...I had a lot of fun writing them. I think my last one was on Azamara. Jack
  17. We did go to Papeete! One of the criticisms I get is that my reviews are too long. I normally try to keep them at 12 typewritten pages, but on this 32 day cruise I actually had 15 pages so I had to edit it. As it was, even after editing I had 13 pages....so Papeete would up on the cutting room floor.😅. That is not to denigrate Papeete - it is a great place to visit. I just ran out of Space. Jack
  18. It is a great sail. I was our second one on this itinerary and we were surprised to hear from others aboard that it was their third or fourth! The ports are great and a lot of people find the sea days relaxing. Jack
  19. Yes we thought that was strange. At first we thought that maybe we had parked in front of a fire hydrant, but then heard the announcement about the refueling. So our trio actually went 10,000 miles and fifteen fifteen feet!😀. PS How did your cabin smell afterwards? Did you have smoke problems? Jack
  20. It was the smoke on Deck 10 that reminded me of the fire we had on the NCL Dream. That fire started in the kitchen. But I did have fun writing that review!😆 Jack
  21. I agree, eight sea days in a row was a long haul. But we may have lucked out. If you read on another thread, the Sapphire had propulsion issues on the leg up to Alaska and I think they may have missed some ports. Imagine if the propulsion problems had happened on the way back to LA. It could have been nine or ten sea days! Jack
