  1. I’m finding that the pricing on some excursions increases after they are made available.  If it’s something you are really interested in, and don’t mind paying for it now, I would go ahead and book.  You can always cancel if you find something else.

I should have checked the port schedules before booking because in June when we stop at St Thomas, there are 4 ships in port including Wonder of the Sea. The cruise on Emerald before ours, they are the only one in the port. Wonder will also be with us in St Marten but we are the only two. Lesson learned, I will check the port schedules to see if one or two weeks change makes it a better experience.

And even after careful preparation and planning, 3 weeks prior to your cruise, Princess could change the port order.  (But I will still be on a cruise and will try to not complain).

  3. I am so aggravated.  We board in under 4 weeks  Today our itinerary changed completely - We only have one port that we will still visit on the same day as the original booking.   All the excursions that were booked outside Princess will have to be cancelled, and are now not available to rebook.  And the one booked with Princess that has been sold out for months - who knows if it will still be available?  Worst part is, when that was booked, it was 200.00 cheaper than it would be now.

Thanks. I just feel silly buying March 2026 excursions this early!

It’s best to go ahead and book when they are available.  You can always cancel.  Some sell out, and one that we booked increased by $100.00.

  5. The sanctuary bungalows are roped off from the rest of the bungalows.   There is no direct access to the water from this area - you will need to leave and walk a short distance to the beach.  The bungalow is air conditioned, and is a nice space to be able to leave your belongings.  We had someone occasionally check on us to see if we wanted drinks, but the walk to get your own drinks is a short one.  We did not have the catered lunch, but would do that when we booked again.  I enjoyed being away from crowds and just having a peaceful area to relax.

I too am wondering where my notification emails are. I wonder if the difference is using a TA or booking direct. I seem to recall that Princess will often, but not always, communicate directly with passengers booked direct and, conversely, send the same information to TAs for distribution to their booked clients. So for those who have received the email, are your booked direct or through a TA?

    Booked direct.

Well....I just relooked at my email that invites me to upgrade to Plus/Premiere. Since it invited me to do this, I had assumed it was for my March sailing which is booked with standard fare. On closer look (ie paying attention to the confirmation number) I see it is actually for my short coastal in September, which already has premiere package. What exactly are they inviting me to upgrade to? Sigh. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt...

This is exactly my issue.  Could they not have tailored the emails to be booking specific?

  8. I am a planner.  I book vacations a year in advance so I can plan.  I like to know everything, including the cost, as far in advance as possible.  (My poor family, I know…). This “fabulous addition” has been my undoing.  I just want to know exactly what I’ve paid for, what is included and what I can expect as extra fees.  Is it really that difficult to send booking specific emails that outline exactly what we have, and any additional costs we may be forced to add if we want to utilize then?

I got the email today, I have the Plus-50 and this was at the bottom of the email.

You currently have a package that doesn’t include these new benefits. But you can easily upgrade your package in the Cruise Personalizer® to take advantage of these additional perks.

I’m not going to upgrade, 2 pizzas aren’t worth the $144 or so it would cost to upgrade.

    Yes!   That’s what mine says!

  10. I received the email for our February 2024 cruise.  We had a “complementary” premium package which was included when we purchased the cruise in April 2023 (noted with 75/85).  I have no intention of paying for any upgrade, but thought I’d run through the process to see the cost to upgrade.  $1400.00+.  Granted, I’m on my mobile phone instead of a desktop, but why wouldn’t it charge the difference between what we have and the upgraded cost?  I’m sure I’m missing something, but No Thanks.  I had thought we were grandfathered into the drinks up to $20 along with the other perks, excluding the fitness classes and premium desserts.  I guess now I’m wondering what exactly we do have.
