how has the spa changed....i am thinking of booking the thermal spa on its cruise to canada...thanks
-
Thanks so much for your prompt reply NYCFA....i see you made the most of every obstacle...good to hear you enjoyed the trip....goodbye
-
gem - advantages- smaller cruise ship feel, intimate lounges, cheaper prices, bigger balconies, longer iternaries
disadvantages- fewer bells and whistles shows as well as restaurants than the breakaway, better for the young people
-
following closely..how was your husbands experience at the thermal spa? was it busy? can we bring in any snacks?
thanks in advance

In taking a transatlantic cruise heading from barcelona to miami on the fifth of november, what would be the average temperature? Would I need to book a thermal spa if it gets cold? I rather not since its 299 dollars for the 15 day cruise
Also, what would udp of more than 7 meals cost pp?

awesome posts and even better memories shared by all...for me, its likely when I was on the Breakaway Haven, essentially a ship within a ship...Imagine being tended to every whim and leave all the care in the world to your butler and concierge...Heaven on the high seas!

I am possibly planning a transatlantic cruise aboard the Star...
How much did they you pay for the 15 day journey when choosing the spa?
Did the spa have the heated stone loungers?
any news on when the next dry dock will be...thanks in advance
-
OP here...guess i will learn to relax ...how does the spa in the spirit compare to that of other NCL ships...thanks everyone
-
My Personal TA tells me the NCL Spirit will be getting a full dry dock of 2 or more weeks in the middle of this year...any confirmation of this development would be appreciated...thanks
-
Hello...I admit I might be naive about certain things but those who are familiar with the NCL Thermal spa experience please
explain how it works...for example what are the purpose of the Thallotherapy poo, the steam room, the sauna room and the warm chair loungers? Thanks
-
So whats the question?
on the other hand, being on the haven both from being on her and from what I have heard is probably worth every dollar you can spend on it albiet a tad expensive..
just the fact, that you get your own private sundeck, 2 hot tubs, butler, concierge and private restaurants reserved for haven guests is amazing

Better not be a Sloth!...LOL
-
Thanks so much Jim...do you or does anyone know if the upsell only offer guarantee cabins or you can pick and choose
-
closely following as i also am curious about the recent dry dock changes and if they haven or a spa....thanks
-
Should I put trust in my TA or call the upsell number (not bidding) during the last week to find me the best price in any remaining cabin....though not a guarantee cabin I hope...I am currently sailing on the gem and debating whether to I should pay extra for the aft facing vs. minisuite cabin?

Hello cruisers...In the fall, these two ships are doing identical iternaries...how are they compared against each other?
I believe they fall in the same Jewel class...does that mean they have spinnakers and great outdoors?
which has a bigger, better spa?
for those who have sailed recently on the jade, how do the recent dry dock appear?
i see now cagneys have these special fireplace tables....how do i get those as they seem so cozy....thanks so much
-
i'm also following closely because i might take a similar cruise..since i am not a big drinker, i would take the specialty rest. first and the shore excursions second
-
in my experience, each member of the 'third and fourth person" are charged taxes around 200 dollars pp, just so you know its not totally free
-
In response to Irish couple, if you have never explored NY city ( manhattan) I would highly recommend spending 2-3 days prior or after your cruise to see all the sights...i can't even imagine all the places to see..good luck
-
Thanks for a great review Keith....since i will be sailing on the spirit come winter, do you know if they have a private thermal spa....and last question, since I will be booking the cruise at the last minute, will I have the chance of booking other specialty restaurant reservations besides the teppanyaki onboard...thanks again
-
I know they used to use lavazza on the suites but now its nespresso....i am not sure which coffee brand and/or machine in the non-suite rooms
-
op here...thanks everyone...i guess i will wait till april to find out
-
op here...thanks for the prompt reply everyone...since I like the ambiance sometimes more than the food...i will choose le bistro, cagneys and the osso buco at la cucina
-
that fireplace next to some tables look so awesome and cozy....following closely..thanks
