  1. I've read some conflicting reports about the beach area at Daniel's Head. Some say it is a lovely, quiet area where the locals go to swim, picnic and see turtles.

Others say the beach is littered with glass and it is dirty.

Still others say that there are bathrooms and changing rooms, as well as a snack shack and several local vendors.

Help! Hs anyone been there recently and can you verify how the beach is? Bathrooms? Snack shack?

    Thank you!

  2. Getting ready for my Bermuda cruise next Sunday and I have a few questions about some of the entertainment that is offered. Any information is welcome!

    * Wine lovers Musical - its a lunch, correct? good, bad, worth it?

    * What about the Choir Man? - what is included to warrant the $19.00 surcharge?

    * Which is better - Headliners Comedy Club or Howl at the Moon?

    Thank you in advance!

  3. DangerousDan ~ I am going to respectfully disagree with your choice:D. Mike's Pastry is where the tourists will go as seen by the lines out the door. Other options would be Modern Pastry or Maria's around the corner from Hanover St. Of course, this is all open to discussion, but my favorite is to stop at the Café Vittoria, have a cappuccino and enjoy a pastry while watching the crowds walk by.

The Aquarium is definitely doable as a shore excursion. Legal Seafood is right across the street as it the Chart House or the Marriott Hotel. Instead, you can walk from there through Christopher Columbus Park into the North End to enjoy lunch (Italian as well as seafood), a cannoli or gelato and, if you have time, take a tour of Paul Revere's House. Lots of history right there!

  4. Thanks for the reply with regards to 'Global Entry'. We have 3 cruises booked this year and are debating whether it would be worth our while to go through the process of getting 'vetted' for going through customs. Last year when debarking from the Independence, the lines were horrible but there was a really small line for Global Entry. I may start a thread to see what other people's experiences have been.

  5. Daisy ~ This will be our first trip out of New York. You mentioned in an earlier post that you waited by the elevators while your husband parked the car. Can you describe the area a little bit? Is the garage right off the highway? Is it easy to find? From there, do you have to take your luggage into to the port area or are there porters available close by?

Thank you for any tips you can share!

    Nancy
