Thank you, all. I've been to Bermuda several times and have been to the 'big' named beaches. I was looking for something different. This may be it!
-
Bummer. this place is out of the way and it isn't very reassuring to think that the taxi won't come back for you.
-
On other islands, we have taken a taxi and pre-arranged a pick up time for a return to the ship. Has anyone had experience doing this in Bermuda?
-
Anyone know the best way to get there from the Dock Yard?
-
Thank you!:)

I've read some conflicting reports about the beach area at Daniel's Head. Some say it is a lovely, quiet area where the locals go to swim, picnic and see turtles.
Others say the beach is littered with glass and it is dirty.
Still others say that there are bathrooms and changing rooms, as well as a snack shack and several local vendors.
Help! Hs anyone been there recently and can you verify how the beach is? Bathrooms? Snack shack?
Thank you!

Thank you, Myra! That's one less thing I have to remember when I get on the ship:D

Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts! We will be on the Escape this Sunday and I am REALLY counting the days until sailaway!

Do you make reservations for 'Howl at the Moon' once on the ship? What was it like on the waterfront at lunch time? Are all the specialty restaurants open for lunch?
Thank you for your report!

Thanks, Sauer-Kraut. I guess I was looking for some feedback on these shows. Good, bad, worth the time?

Getting ready for my Bermuda cruise next Sunday and I have a few questions about some of the entertainment that is offered. Any information is welcome!
* Wine lovers Musical - its a lunch, correct? good, bad, worth it?
* What about the Choir Man? - what is included to warrant the $19.00 surcharge?
* Which is better - Headliners Comedy Club or Howl at the Moon?
Thank you in advance!

Another guide I have heard good news about is Yosel - I Love Cuba Photo Tour. Check it out. He responded very quickly.

I think we can all agree - Mike's, Bova's, Fanueil Hall, Aquarium, harbor cruise, Rose Kennedy Greenway - you can't go wrong. Boston is a great city to visit. You can cover a lot of territory just walking around. Enjoy your visit!

DangerousDan ~ I am going to respectfully disagree with your choice:D. Mike's Pastry is where the tourists will go as seen by the lines out the door. Other options would be Modern Pastry or Maria's around the corner from Hanover St. Of course, this is all open to discussion, but my favorite is to stop at the Café Vittoria, have a cappuccino and enjoy a pastry while watching the crowds walk by.
The Aquarium is definitely doable as a shore excursion. Legal Seafood is right across the street as it the Chart House or the Marriott Hotel. Instead, you can walk from there through Christopher Columbus Park into the North End to enjoy lunch (Italian as well as seafood), a cannoli or gelato and, if you have time, take a tour of Paul Revere's House. Lots of history right there!

I appreciate all the answers and support!:)

Thank you! I've never noticed them before. Maybe its just because we didn't have to worry about that in the past.
Do you also request a special diet for meals?
-
We are fairly new to this. Can anyone tell me if NCL will provide a secure container for disposal of needles used to administer insulin?
Is there a form that we would need to complete before arriving at the ship?
Thank you.

I have never done this, but for those of you who have, does self disembarkation really expedite the process of getting of the ship? Are you the first ones off the ship? Is there any backup the customs area?
Thinking about trying this but I am interested in what you have to say.
Thank you!

Thanks for the info! We have been lucky that last several times flying on Jet Blue that we have got 'pre check' on our boarding pass but I'm thinking that maybe I shouldn't rely on 'luck'! :p
-
I'm interested in hearing from other travelers who have gone through the Customs and Border Patrol Program that offers expedited clearance for pre-approved, low risk travelers. Do you think it is worth the cost? Does it really save time?
Any thoughts are welcome!

Thanks for the reply with regards to 'Global Entry'. We have 3 cruises booked this year and are debating whether it would be worth our while to go through the process of getting 'vetted' for going through customs. Last year when debarking from the Independence, the lines were horrible but there was a really small line for Global Entry. I may start a thread to see what other people's experiences have been.
-
Daisy ~ One more question - When debarking, did you notice a line for 'Global Entry' and, if so, how was the line?
Thank you.

Daisy ~ This will be our first trip out of New York. You mentioned in an earlier post that you waited by the elevators while your husband parked the car. Can you describe the area a little bit? Is the garage right off the highway? Is it easy to find? From there, do you have to take your luggage into to the port area or are there porters available close by?
Thank you for any tips you can share!
