So this thread has been dead a long time. One week to go!

I did about 140 as a crew member. Does that count?

We are cruising out of Port Canaveral on the 21st but flying into Orlando a little after noon on the 20th. Spending the night over by Disney and planning dinner at Downtown Disney. Any suggestions of something to do between landing and dinner?

Did you end up using them?

Still 7 months away so I haven't booked anything yet. Maybe someone will see this amd say something.

So this came up in my roll call. Just wondering if they show much of the Saturday afternoon college football on Freedom of the Seas. Can you request they have a particular game on?

I know most on here have said the hotels with free shuttles to the port in Miami are not worth but I know some of the hotels have shuttles that you pay a fee for. Anyone have experience with these. And before you say take a cab I know that is an option just trying to see what other options might be out there.

On TravelPony I got the Red Roof Plus+ Miami Airport for $78 and include airport shuttle, port shuttle, and continental breakfast.

Used to call Galaxy "Gali Girl"

FOS is the one he knows about, the one he doesn't know about is in March and is on Celebrity Reflection. Right now I am thinking the sky lounge on deck 14 with a view forward. You are right though the north star at sunrise could possibly be the most amazing place to do it!

So here is my idea. Our birthdays are only two days apart (his is March 15, I am March 17). A few months ago I came up with the idea of doing a very special Christmas/Birthday present. For Christmas this year I am going to give him the paperwork for the cruise that we will take on our birthdays. The cruise is 7 days on Celebrity Reflection from March 14-21, leaving from Miami. So here is what I am thinking: I am planning to find a way to get a a hold of cruise staff before hand and make some special arrangements. The first full day will be his birthday and so I want to start it with the proposal. Working with the crew I want to figure out a place to watch the sunrise as this is something we have done on a previous cruise and I will tell him I have a special birthday surprise for him. When we arrive at the designated spot I want to have a present, rose, and two glasses of mimosa . The present will be a wooden pencil box and when he opens it, it will have a letter written by me talking about our relationships and how much he means to me and ending with "and when you are done reading look up, I have one other thing to say" and then get on one knee and pop the question. So what do you think?

I have decided the hardest part of this will be waiting...

That totally made me tear up. My fiancé proposed to me on Valentine's Day on a river boat. It was where we had our first "real" date, so he planned it all out, I had no idea where we were even going for dinner, let alone that he had a ring in his pocket. He proposed just after dark on the deck with the lights of the Tower Bridge (on the Sacramento River) in the background. It was so romantic...no photographer though...anyway...Matt will love it! I know I did!
Thanks! And I love your story too. After a few comments I guess it would be ok to have that moment as just something completely private. My thought of the photographer was so we could always remember but on second thought maybe not.

I think even in today's world, most men want to be the ones doing the proposing. If they want to marry you, they will ask.
Umm...I am a man...

Matt and I went on our first day just about a year ago and since then I have fallen completely in love with him. When he is not around, I find myself really missing him. And recently we have even been talking about the future, a future that include both of us. So I think I want to propose. So here is my idea. Our birthdays are only two days apart (his is March 15, I am March 17). A few months ago I came up with the idea of doing a very special Christmas/Birthday present. Ideally I would like to figure out a way to get a photographer to capture the moment as well. So what do you think?

Wow if I could have that to propose with it would be perfect!

Sadly a suite is a bit out of budget since I am booking this all as a surprise that will be Christmas and b-day all wrapped in one and final payment is due on Dec. 19. I think I would rather spend money to make the whole trip special with some fun excursions. But you are right a suite would be amazing!

Here is the thought (would take some arranging with the crew). Have a us arrive at the designated spot just before sunrise to find two glasses of mimosa, a rose, and a special wrapped gift box. Since it is also his birthday I could tell him that I have a special bday surprise and when he opens the box it has a letter that ends with "I love you and I have a question for you." Take his hand and go down on one knee and you know the rest. Thoughts?

Question. How early can you get a bar drink? Here is the thought (would take some arranging with the crew). Have a us arrive at the designated spot just before sunrise to find two glasses of mimosa, a rose, and a special wrapped gift box. Since it is also his birthday I could tell him that I have a special bday surprise and when he opens the box it has a note that says "I love you and I have a question for you." Take his hand and go down on one knee and you know the rest. Thoughts?

No advice, but just a great big awwwww and wish for good luck! That's one lucky guy - sounds like a great set-up. :)
Thanks. I feel pretty lucky too. :)

Well word of warning you may be waiting a while lol. The cruise will be a Christmas present and wont be until next spring. But he is worth the wait!

Hmmm hadnt thought about wind. Lounge might be a good option.

This would be heading south from Miami beginning the first full day of the cruise next March. (I am an early planner, cruise has been booked since this past March lol) First day because it will also be his b-day that day and I also want to say something like "sunrise is the beginning of a new day and today we have a new beginning, the beginning of what I hope will be every sunset for the rest of our lives" or something like that.

If you wanted to watch the sun rise on Reflection (or other s-class as they are mostly the same) in a romantic spot, where would you watch from? (Think romantic proposal)

So if you were staying in Miami Beach the night before your cruise in a place without breakfast, where would you have breakfast?
