I want a paper copy of the daily activities. It is much easier to use and mark up. In most instances, using an electronic version is easier but not in this case.

I agree! In addition to being easier to use, I have kept them for historical reasons.😊 As long as a hard copy is available, I will be happy.

It would save Princess so much work if they'd just cancel on Monday.
Well, it appears we will be paying our July 3rd Alaska cruise in full today, as much as I seriously do not see it sailing. If it does, I hope you and your family have an amazing time, and perhaps we will meet on board!

extend final payment due to May 17th for cruises departing 7/1 - 7/15
Princess 'buys' 2 weeks ( I understand this doesn't help you specifically ) - and I don't have a clue about airline reservations , hotel, etc
I’m hoping they will do that soon! Not much happens on the weekend, and payment is due on Tuesday.

We are booked on the July 3rd sailing of the Caribbean Princess, and I've read that several others here have booked early July sailings on the west coast.
Final payment is just around the corner.
Other lines have announced that they should be ready to sail by mid-July, but none of us have heard a peep from Princess.
When do you think they will announce cancellations (if any) of early July cruises? Before final payment (as in this weekend) or after?
Or....do you think they will try to sail as planned?
I certainly hope it will be prior to our May 4th due date! We don’t owe much as the bulk of the payment is credit from a prior canceled cruise, but I don’t want to add any extra if at all possible.
We are booked on a July 3rd Alaska cruise, out of Seattle. I seriously doubt it will be going, which truly would not bother me at all...it is a poor substitute for the 14 day round trip from LA that we have had cancelled three times since last year. 😕

We're on the Emerald Princess on 7/3/21 RT Seattle. The chance of that happening is slightly less than 0, but they haven't cancelled it yet. My mom's paying for this, so we haven't made final payment yet, since it's on a 60 day final. We have a rebook date in mind, but we'd really like Princess to cancel it so we could get the 10% bump in our deposit.
We’re booked on it, too. I agree that the chance of it happening is slightly less than 0, and really hope they cancel before the May 4th final payment due date. We won’t be getting any additional credit because all the money we have on the cruise so far is credit from a previously cancelled cruise, but I don’t want to be the one to do the canceling! 😄

Thank you for sharing! A few days ago I received a reminder of final payment due on April 4th, 90 days ahead. I’m pretty sure this July 3rd cruise to Alaska will be canceled pretty soon, and I would prefer that Princess does the canceling!

Had that exact question for PVP last week. She said as far as she knows Princess has not put capacity limits on any US cruises and has no idea how they will decide who sails if limits are required by the CDC. She had asked her boss and was told just keep on booking.
Interesting...

99 days ( or so ) until 7/1/21 - the next Princess scheduled cruise ...
a 7 day cruise on 7/3/21 has a final payment date of 4/4/21 ... about 10 days
next Princess "pause" ???
We’re booked on a 7/3/21 Alaska cruise. I don’t expect it to go with a Passenger Services Act, as well as the no sail order, or whatever it’s called, hurdle to be jumped. I just wish Princess would cancel this voyage before the 4/4 date.

I only wanted a Yes or No answer, not war
I totally understand! Only problem is that a few months ago my answer would have been “absolutely not!”...now I’m desperate to be at sea and it is “Yes”! 😁

We were doing quite a bit of off-roading at the time!
This is a fun thread!

Thanks for the head's up. Kind of strange, though, since once you recieve your DD-214 it's not like it expires and you're no longer retired military. Strange but true stories!!
Yes, I though it pretty strange, too!
Thank you for the head’s up, weedpindle! I’ll have to check my hubby’s account! 😊 -

The original Sun Princess was the setting for the Colombo episode Troubled Waters, which airs tonight (Sunday Sep 27) at 8pm edt on MeTV.
I couldn’t watch it tonight, but I will see if I can find it elsewhere. (I don’t believe I get Sundance.) I always enjoy watching shows filmed onboard a ship! -

We’ve already received an email for our cancelled July 2021 Alaska cruise on the Sun...I was so hoping another ship would take over this wonderful itinerary. 😔

Love the aft facing suites with the amazing views!
They are the best!!! -
In addition to the complimentary mini-bar, which is not replenished, and same day laundry service, if turned in by 9am, we have received two bottles of water daily. The elite laundry service return can be iffy, depending on the number of elites onboard, but the suite laundry has always been on time for us.
Another wonderful benefit for suite guests is breakfast at whatever restaurant the ship specifies for suites, and Club Class dining! I would love to always be in a suite...but that won’t happen!

Thank you so much for this tribute. After four cruises on this wonderful ship, starting with Hawaii in 2010, I was so looking forward to being on her again on May 30th. I’m so sorry that I will not have the opportunity to wish her a Bon Voyage before she leaves the fleet...😔

It would be interesting to know if they, Viking and Princess, have Business Interruption insurance that would respond in this case? I guess we would find out down the road in their parent company SEC filings, assuming Viking is part of a public company.
I believe I read Viking is not a public company. -
Another thank you!

It was cancelled in mid-2019.
Thanks! Senior moment! I knew that when I first responded. 🥴 I’m very happy we were able to do it in April 2019, and I hope It comes back.

I'm not sure how anyone had a BVE last year because I thought they were discontinued in 2018.
I read somewhere...not sure if it was on Cruise Critic...that is was being discontinued December 2019. -

I just tried to log in and it will not do so without a password change. Hubby’s was not a problem...at first. It even said it could be used for the Medallion, or something to do with it. Now it will not accept his password. I think I’ll wait a while before I do anything!
