Has anyone received a response from rcldining in the last 10 days? The OP and I are examples of at least two people experiencing total silence. I too received a response 9 months ago, and my post is RCLs answer from today for why it won't be honored.

Maybe it is bunk! I hope it's bunk!  I wish I had the same experience as you, but I just have a string of unanswered emails and that bunk from their phone "dining team" customer service today

I have not had a response for a table request either... Cruising 3/5

Ow no, hopefully they reply, if not I’ll ask at guest services and then if no luck I’ll send an email on my return.

Also, you may be able to dispute the charge of the royal up with your credit card company because you didn't authorize that category & didn't get what you paid for....

I know some people on here get bent out of shape when mentioning tipping out in cash.  Typically we just close out the account the night before we leave by going to the desk and paying cash.  In the past when we have done this, the next morning there is several hundred $$ in tips added that we could have just handled in giving enveloped with cash.  It's been a while since we have cruised but remember having to go to the desk to have the tips removed from the account so you can tip cash.

Or you could prepay your tips before you go.....

My wife and me and two grandkids were on the Radiance so I checked where our assigned table was in the dining room and it was a good table but for 6 and I knew we weren't going to eat in the dining room every night so I picked out a table for 4. 1st night didn't eat in dining room used BOGO in Italian restaurant 2nd night we were getting ready to go but got a phone call from a staff member/friend on board and we did dinner with him in Chops. 3rd night didn't like menu so didn't go. 4th night got there got seated and then staff member maybe asst head waiter said we were at wrong table and table number changes from 1st to 2nd seating. So he moved us to another table in a bad location so

he not only lied to us he embarrassed my family. We have been Diamond Plus for a long time so I knew he was lying. Anyhow it didn't work out well for him as I was told he got a written reprimand in his file. The friend we had dinner with the second night was the hotel director. And we also had dinner with him last night of the cruise.

Similar situation happened to us on Allure & Jewel. I requested & was granted a table for 2 & had an email confirmation. All checked out upon arrival & used a BOGO Chops offer the first night. When we showed up on the second night our assigned table had other guests seated there! It was particularly annoying on Jewel because we informed the Head Waiter that we were going to Chops the first night & he assured us that the table would still be our assigned table for the week.

  5. I was on Jewel in March. An older woman sat down at the machine next to me. Within a few minutes security walked over to this lady & asked her to come with them. The lady kept saying "I don't know what you want me to do".  I didn't catch the entire conversation but after being told that there was video footage & that she actually knew exactly what they were talking about, she did leave with security. Apparently, she had "found" a ticket & was using it. It was traced & I didn't see her in the casino for the rest of the cruise.

Exactly what we do on every cruise.

I never considered that until today. We usually have our "service fees" automatically deducted daily. We end up giving extra tips at the end of the cruise to waiters & stateroom attendant. We tip bartenders as we go. If we divided the daily gratuities by 3 the way we'd really like to "tip", the people who serve us best will be actually be getting more than they do now. RC should supplement the people behind the scenes.

  7. Same with Jewel & Enchantment. Very short staffed. On Enchantment I had a Truffled Grilled Cheese for lunch. It came with grilled bread & a few leaks, NO cheese!! Onion soup without onions, obviously reheated steak, served lukewarm with cottage fries instead of baked potato.  Asked for a baked potato & it was served cold that the butter didn't even start to melt on it!

    How do you calculate points?

If you put $100 into a slot machine, win $80, play that $80 balance and win $60, You have now played $180 in that slot machine. You lost $40. How many points is this? 100? 180? 40?

Based on 1point earned for each $5 you'd earn about 50 points. You started with $100, won $140 = $240.

When you book a casino offer, can you book a cabin for fellow travelers too? And do they offer any kind of discount on the additional cabin? We just received offer for a free balcony cabin and my Dad would like to go also. So would like to be able to book both at the same time. And any discounts for the 2nd cabin would be a plus since he would be a solo cruiser.

Actually there wouldn't a discount other than published or C & A discounts unless he has his own casino comp. You'd likely get a reduced fare for him as a third person in your room..

    Lovescats5,

If you go back and read my original post, I was asking if anyone has done this. No more, no less. It’s not about money, it’s not about supremacy, and it definitely isn’t about getting over on anyone or anything. I’m glad your father shared such insight with you. I’m sorry I asked a question on this thread. Your attitude stinks.

I really think the point is you're asking a question that we really don't have the authority to answer. Your question needs to be addressed by RC. I don't care who eats where BUT if I'm booked in a Jr Suite & turned away from dinner at CK because your daughter & son in law are dining with you I may be a little unhappy. Best to keep it to yourself if it is allowed.

Ninety-five percent of guests must be fully vaccinated as well -- this excludes children under five years who are not eligible for the vaccine. The updated protocols will include face masks being optional for all fully vaccinated guests and expected for unvaccinated children.

It seems like the question was answered regarding "eligible" to receive the vaccine. 5-11 year olds are "eligible" to receive the vaccine

  12. OMG! What a nightmare for you! We were on Freedom 3 weeks ago. Deck 8 midship. We accidently got off the forward elevator & walked through a quarantined area complete with the red hazmat bags in the hall as you described. It was disgusting & surreal! We couldn't use the forward elevators or forward stairs for the duration of the cruise. The staff covered the situation up by saying that there were no covid cases on the ship & staff was being quarantined there when arriving.

I'm truly hoping that you expose your story! As a result of hearing this, I'm about 98% sure we'll be canceling our B2B on Allure next week! We've been on the fence but wouldn't like to be treated like a caged animal.....

Good luck with your return home. Hope that you stay safe🙏
