I feel so bad for the RCC reps trying to keep up with all the changes and frustrated customers. Would not want to be in their position and I TRY to have patience with them.

If I get a FCC for a cruise I cancel how long do I have to use the FCC. Thank you. So many various rules leaves my head spinning!

Those itineraries May no5 be released fir a while. Book a refundable cabin on the first leg if you are thinking about it to lock in the price before it goes up.
Good advice will call my TA Monday and book.

You will have to wait till RCI posts them - follow the 2022-23 deployment thread.
Thanks for the info. I looked at RCI site and you can actually book this now. Now I just need to find out where it sails after this cruise as I was hoping to do back to back sailing on to Sydney but can’t find this info anywhere.

You can read about my 2019 Ovation to Hawaii cruise here:

Watche your review, oh my amazing! I am booked for Vancouver to Sydney in 2021 but really doubt it will happen. As soon as 2022 dates are available I will re book.

Yes, its' 2022. September 30th to be exact. I'm coming from a place in Canada where it's currently almost minus 20'C so I'm sure it will be fantastic weather in Hawaii. I haven't been seasick yet although I've only been on one cruise, and never on the Pacific. What do you think it will be like on the ship with the waves & windy etc?
I am currently booked for this cruise in 2021 but want to move to 2022. How do you find dates for 2022 cruise since the 2022 transpacific cruises are not listed anywhere.
-
I wonder what their definition of late 2021 is. I have a transpacific ending in Sydney in mid October 2021.

Train trip to national parks. Travel by train is an awesome way to see the world.

When a down payment is made on a cruise booked by a travel agent does the money go to the cruise line or the travel agency? Will probably be cancelling a transatlantic cruise on the summit before final payment on May 18. Hoping to get my $900 refundable deposit back.

Yes...but will probably take a long time before it goes through... We are still waiting although they said our refund of deposit was approved and being sent to our card last week.
Appreciate the heads up.

I have a cruise in mid August with final payment due May 18. I have paid a 900 refundable down payment. If I cancel before final payment will I get my entire 900 back?
i have never cancelled a cruise so forgive my naivety.

If your are under 70 but have certain health conditions such as diabetes you will not be allowed to board.
-
Was able to get through and was very easy. Because it is so close to our cruise (leaving March 15) we will get the whole refund as aFCC. We did not get reimbursed for port fees. Has anyone else had this issue?
-
I called that phone number and have been on hold for one hour and still waiting! Oh well will just continue to hold.
-
If I have classic drink package as one of my perks but want the premium package should I upgrade online prior to cruise or wait until I am onboard the ship?

Hello CC community- has anyone done this river cruise offered by Emerald Waterways? It looks quite interesting, combining two of their popular itineraries...
Welcome any comments
thanks😀

Hello Suzann!
carol & Cyndi here. Funny thing but we were looking at this cruise too! We decided instead to do the three week tour/cruise of Vietnam and Cambodia in 2021 on their new ship Harmony being built now. For 2020 we are doing three week cruise of black and Aegean Sea with road scholar. We leave in six weeks for our three week trip to Africa. Cyndi retired last December so we can take more trips!
think of you two often and how much we enjoyed sailing with you! Tell Dave I have made is shepherds pie several times and it is always a hit! Let us know what your next cruise is.

We left Amsterdam on the Emerald Sky on the 19th and got as far as Koln. They bused us to a local tour ship so we could sail the middle Rhine past all the castles. Spoke to a Viking cruise director who said they got through but their ship was scraping the bottom and the levels in the middle Rhine are still dropping so ships cannot now really get upsteam of Koblenz. Therefore they can not reach the Main where the levels are fine. The upper Danube is having the same problems upstream of Passau, where we are joining the Emerald Star for the rest of the trip down to Budapest.
Emerald have been fantastic coping with these difficult conditions and we have still done all the land tours and locations as per the original itinerary, put us in 5 star accommodations throughout and fed us at every turn, as well as giving us all a generous refund. If your company does as well as Emerald you will be delighted.
Overall the tour is great and the Tour companies can't control these low water conditions. You will have a great time - the only thing missing is that you can't just unpack once and forget it.
Just completed our emerald cruise in Saturday in Amsterdam. We were on a bus tour from Passau to cologne. Glad you were in five star hotels. We were in the Sheraton airport in Frankfort which had us walking very long distance to buses through the airport. Definitely not a five star experience.

Just off my AmaPrimaCerto Cruise Nuremberg to Budapest (Aug 11-18). We did the ship swap - no biggie at all, and our cruise manager Nick was THE BEST! Came up with different shore excursions on the fly, and minimal disruption to passengers.
Were you able to go all the way to Budapest on the ship?

We did a Mediterranean cruise on the Reflection last summer; it was our first time on Celebrity, and we're now hooked -- we're leaving on Friday for a Solstice cruise to Alaska.
* Entertainment was pretty good; there were a number of song & dance shows and I think we had a couple of comedian shows in the main theater. (I recommend checking recent cruise reviews to see if anyone has posted the "dailies" for your cruise...you can see what kind of shows are on the schedule.) Their best show was a Cirque du Soleil style one they did the second-to-last night of the cruise. Don't miss that one!
* The Molecular Bar was phenomenal (I'm so sad it's gone!), but its replacement (World Class Bar) looks to be pretty good. Someone had posted menu pics on a previous thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2203250&page=2 (Scroll about halfway down the page to see full-size versions of the menu pics.) I preferred the drinks at the Molecular Bar to the Martini Bar, but the "flair" bartending at the Martini Bar is VERY entertaining.
* Qsine is a must; it's unlike any restaurant we've ever been to, so I felt it was worth the specialty dining surcharge. (The food was good, but half the fun was the presentation and overall experience.)
* Explore the whole ship; there is interesting artwork EVERYWHERE. :)
* The Hideaway (near the elevators on Deck 7/8) has some cozy seating areas -- a good place to curl up with a book.
* On our cruise, they hosted a Vegas-style nightclub called "Liquid" in the Solarium one evening; it was a lot of fun, with several entertainers throughout the evening.
* Sky Observation Lounge is a great place to have a drink and enjoy the views on sea days, especially if windy/rainy weather keeps you indoors.
* Even though I'm not a coffee drinker, I enjoyed Cafe al Bacio for the herbal teas, tasty desserts, and ocean views. (Desserts are free - except for the gelato - and the drinks are included with classic/premium beverage packages.)
If you're interested, I posted pics and videos taken on (and from) the Reflection last summer; you can view them here:
Happy travels -- you're going to love the Reflection!

Wow your pictures are awesome! We looks at all of them. We are taking this cruise in Oct. 2016 and this has just made me more excited about it. We are also from Austin, TX! (Actually Cedar Park just outside of Austin) Thanks again!

So will he need two tests? This will be a deal breaker for me. Hard enough getting one. I have one scheduled for Wednesday august 18 but CVS says they can not guarantee they will have tests that day due to inconsistent supply!
