Received an email from the Concierge. :)
We are Raj and Mohamed, your onboard Concierges. We look forward to welcoming you onboard our beautiful ship for Harmony of the Seas’ Transatlantic sailing to Fort Lauderdale. ...
Just discovered this thread. How awesome is it going to be sharing your Harmony transatlantic adventure! Thank you everyone for sharing.
Also, thank you Jules for posting the Sky Class letter. We were wondering what the recent Harmony Sky Class letters entailed. So many things have changed like no more thermal lounge day pass etc.
-
That's terrific. I can't wait to see these new ships in the future.

We'll be in a Navigator RFS in two months. If pics don't surface I'm sure we will take some!

Thanks again for the fun review. Have a safe journey home and we'll say a prayer for your father in law.

Really loved the scopes and review Andrew. I can't believe how fast a week of fun goes?!
How about you plan for another one now?
Instead of subliminally messaging Lisa with Caribbean soaps from Bath and Body works, you ask the room steward for some extra suite soaps and put them in front of Lisa in a few months to remind her of the magical experience she needs to have every free months! :)
We will use ours in November to get us prepped for Harmony lol...
Enjoy the last bittersweet day bud!

Thanks for the headsup and got that offer added. Under terms of offer this was stated on the amex page:
" Limit 1 statement credit(s) per American Express® Card across all American Express offer channels. "
So should be fine with getting a credit for each card. If amex only wanted you to have one credit only it would be per account instead.
There are some other offers that may assist you too, so always keep checking.
Spend $500 with Amex Travel and get $80 back is one of them.
-
Looked like a beautiful, tropical, blue-water spot you had yesterday, complete with food and fun bud. Keep it up!! Love it!
-
Do you have multiple card numbers on one account! Or actually three different accounts?
We have one personal account where I have an additional cardmember and I have a business card which is also linked to my personal amex account login.
However, that additional cardmember (spouse) has their own login to their own site although we pay the bill on my personal account login. Back in the day I could see all cards, but now I can only see my personal card and my business card (the 3rd card) although I can see the add'l cardmember's purchases. We've used 3 individual offers many times for various other services. I've read reports of of 9 year olds getting credit cards haha, now I'm thinking of getting my children an additional card. I wouldn't give it to them of course but it supposedly helps build up credit (and they keep on coming up with better amex offers).

Got the new offer today. It wasn't there last week and it certainly wasn't up when this thread was created. Found it on 3 of our amex card accounts. Going to save $225 was a nice little bonus this morning! Here is the fine print on this offer:

Hello Andrew, Owen & Lisa,
Terrific review and scopes from yesterday! I just woke up and put up all the scopes on the computer while I started working. It was just like me being there!
The piano scope was the best though. I can't believe how well you can play that piano?! I'm also impressed that you taught Owen your fine piano art--true talent!
The reading from the library was also enlightening and I feel as if this should be a "thing" from now on. Look forward to much, much more! Lisa in the background was cracking me up though...
Enjoy the "friendly" island with two nations and thanks for making it a fun morning!

Hello all,
The Chase Sapphire Reserve (CSR) card became available on Monday, this is not to be confused with the Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP) card.
Mine arrived today and I came here to see if anyone knew about the medical/evac insurance associated with it? I didn't know when I applied and this could be a way to save money by not purchasing supplemental medical/evac/trip cancellation etc.
I got the card for the 3x points on dining/travel but mostly because the points are worth 50% more (only 25% with CSP) when booking through Chase's Ultimate Rewards site. I plan to transfer other UR account points (business/personal) to this reserve account on a regular basis as they go 25% further with travel.
You can see the difference on travel insurance, between the CSR and CSP cards here.
There is a high $450 annual fee with the CSR card but it comes with a 100k bonus point offer (that's $1,500 in travel) plus it comes with an annual $300 travel credit you can use towards any travel (not just baggage like AMEX plat card, but hotels etc). In effect, the travel credit brings the fee down to $150/year (if you spend more than $300 on travel per year). It also has TSA prep fee coverage, airport lounge access and "primary" auto CDW coverage. Here are more bennies it comes with:
I have cancelled my AMEX platinum card as this reserve card now offers similar (but better) benefits with less cost. I am also going to downgrade my CSP card to a Freedom Cash.
I believe a lot of the CSP members buy supplemental medical/evac insurance but, depending on your needs, you may be okay with this card's benefits.
I hope I save someone some money... :)

We are getting close being all packed. Some of the last items to hit the suitcases. Water proof cell phone case, Rode Mic for Iphone 6S, and GoPro, patch cord for iPad to TV, and charger block - items I deem necessary.
Lisa's response, she just puts her finger and her thumb in the shape of an L on her forehead. Something like this. Thanks Maureencruiser for the pic.

We like your packing list so far. [emoji1] These are necessities not a loser item lol! On a related note we all just got galaxy s7's and note 7's, which are supposedly waterproof but we will definitely be bringing the waterproof phone case on our next adventure as I'm skeptical... need to see some ocean reviews not kitchen sinks dunks.

Hey Andrew, this is turning out to be an excellent blog already and you haven't even started the trip down here yet--very entertaining!
Have a safe trip down! I wish we were coming with you!
Looking forward to the scopes and updates to live vicariously through you for a week which will help us get to the next cruise haha

Hello theolongos. I noticed in a previous posting of yours that besides your star suite you had a grand balcony suite and that Royal Caribbean agreed to link both cabins with the star privileges. Did they actually honor that promise. How did it go, we have a similar situation for our upcoming 7/31 cruise on harmony of the seas. We booked a sky suite for four and also an inside cabin across the hall for our 19 yr old son and his friend. Royal Caribbean assured us at the time of booking our son and his friend would be extended the same sky suite perks. However with two days before we board we asked for confirmation from the concierge on this arrangement and they are now saying no that can't be done. We would never have booked the extra inside cabin if that was the case as the sky suite will hold up to 8 people. We are extremely unhappy and feel like it was a switch and bait scam to get us to purchase a second cabin. We are extremely unhappy and right now their "resolutions" group is trying to resolve the problem. After getting assurances several times from the booking agents that the arrangement was confirmed in the notes of our reservation they are now denying that they agreed to the arrangement. Now they only can find notes that say we asked about it and they said they will look into it for us. Unbelievable two days before the cruise that we are dealing with this stress. Dealing with Royal Caribbean has been a nightmare from day one. When we first reserved and put the sky suite on a 24 hour hold we called back the next day well before the 24 hr deadline and they had given our sky suite to someone else. After many hours of hassle on the phone they finally came back to us the next day and let us book the suite after all.
Hello, first of all I'm sorry to hear of your frustration with this.
Second, I recognize how silly all of these odd rules can be. I'm going to guess there was a cost benefit decisions that took place with RCCL before they allowed these specific situations to work for others in the past (which may seem unfair to some).
We actually haven't sailed yet on that specific cruise so I have no first-hand experience. The RCCL agent told us as long as we have our "minor children" in an adjacent cabin they can share in the parent's suite privileges.
In this case we will be in a grand suite (Sky Class) with adjoining balcony--3 of us in the suite and 2 (6 and 10 year old) in the non-suite. I think the issue with yours could be the fact that your children are considered adults and drive the expenses up for concierge/drinks/meals which is why RCCL doesn't allow that. Can they drink at 19 in international waters?
I think we are hijacking this thread and there are other threads somewhere that go over this in more detail with others who have much more experience than I on this specific topic.
I honestly do not believe they tried to bait/switch you--the specific cruise rep would get a bad rap if they did that on a normal basis. Again, these are all assumptions so take it for what it's worth and good luck on your cruise in two days. I'm sure it will be wonderful and you will enjoy it so much!!

...did I hear Lenny saying he has another one in December? I have his November one but thought in his balcony scope he said he had cruises in November and December.
Hi Geeocacher, we'll be scoping from the Navigator on Dec 18th! :D

Thank you so much for sharing your cruise feedback. I have been wondering about star class more and more lately so this is helping quite a bit.
By the way, I watched the vimeo video and it sounded fine.
