Well, that is it! This picture review is done. I am fresh out of tips for Allure of the Seas. I hope you find this helpful as you plan your next Oasis class cruise.
Now, I have to find another flimsy excuse to go on another cruise. :D It will not be hard...
Until next time, farewell to Allure of the Seas:
Hi APDMOM,
Thank you for the great review and pictures. We really enjoyed them. You are indeed a cruise review artist! We will be traveling on Allure in approx 1 month so this is exactly what we needed! :)
Also, we may be neighbors on that 11/24/17 sailing on the Navigator! We are staying in one of the aft royal family suites.

I guess I am bucking everyone else here but we have a grand balcony suite and a central park view room linked with ours for our kids on Allure on August 14. When I booked the cruise I specifically asked this question and I would not have booked the suite if my minor children did not get the same perks that we are. I had Royal Carribbean send me an email confirming this also.
I have also confirmed this. We have mostly royal family suites booked but on some that weren't available we did the grand suite balcony + adjacent balcony combo and we were assured by our RCCL TA our minor children would get the same sky class cards, perks etc. Hmm, I will inquire again now and perhaps get something in writing as the majority have me wondering.

Looking forward to this.
We'll be traveling on Allure in 29 day! I'm assuming it's very similar to Oasis but I still want to see all your scopes and pics as this is vacation research, of course!
Have a super-fun cruise!
Thanks Michael!

Thank you for your post. This post, combined with other similar posts convinced us to switch sailings. We found an Allure sailing (costing more) that worked in the same time frame.
It won't be a smaller ship, like we wanted to try, but perhaps we can try a smaller ship in the future, like the Empress, when the mechanical gets fixed and reviews improve!
I sure wish I was looking at cruise critic before I booked the Empress sailing--we had no clue it was newly refurbished when booking it, we just noticed it was small, intimate and branded with "Royal" which typically means the standards and expectations we all know from Royal.
The reviews here are priceless, thanks again!

Thank you for your post!
We are watching Empress reviews as that's our next sailing. We initially booked it based on timing with no children for the week and wanting to try a smaller more intimate ship.
We were assuming, while small, we would still be on a "Royal" class ship, of which we have certain expectations of product and service.
Sewage, HVAC and lack of food issues? That's not the royal we all know! Hmm, hopefully these reviews improve lol!

Wow, this is disconcerting. My wife and I wanted to try a small ship, hopefully they can get this under control soon.

You should never be rude to your servers although she received prompt service for being rude, who knows what was done to her food they could have spit in it put they're private body parts in it etc.
This has me wondering, perhaps people that are rude to their waiters have never worked in a restaurant before. Behind the scenes is where it all happens so I agree! :)

Just got off the 4 nighter. Still lots of work going on with apparently 227 workers still onboard.
Link to photos from the cruise >>>HERE<<<
Zip line only opened up yesterday, none of the water slides are working and the Aqua Theatre isn't due to open until June. I anticipated it being some sort of shake down cruise didn't anticipate so much not being finished.
Guest Services was busy!!!
Yes, thank you for sharing your splendid photos!

Thanks for this Celisse, I know it's a huge amount of work. Many people ask about the Compasses.
Yes, thank you for your continued hard work for your fans! :)

I just do not understand how you can have a Solarium in the middle of the Caribbean Sea without a cool pool. This was my "go to" place, but it does get very hot if there is no breeze. I personally can not see it being used much without a pool, which means that the already over crowded pool deck is going to be insane. It will give a totally new meaning to chair hogs. Just MHO
Let's just hope they plan to put one in...

I really like the video, very elegantly done. Did it miss a few outdoor activities though? Still very nice!

Plugs in Broadwalk balcony
Interest comments on another site that there are NO USB ports in a Grand Suite or in Crown Loft, which appears to be a major oversight

Thank you. That's interesting, hmm, perhaps they justified this by having more result outlets. I typically remedy this problem with a USB hub that will take up one outlet.

In what strange parallel world did Burgers and Pizza on a cruise become 'Speciality' food?
I just read a review on the new "suite class" perks -- Sky class had the full Dining Room Menu for dinner available through Room Service. I'm not sure if there was an extra charge for that... but that is what specialty to me is haha, not burgers and pizza!

WOW, watched a few minutes of that, going to flag to watch later. Thank you, you produced it wonderfully. We booked a 9 day Southern on her Nov '17 and love the pics and video!

All in all I would say Harmony of the Seas is, without doubt, an incredible ship, not just in engineering terms, but she has all the wow factors, all the bling, all the toys, alongside some elegant dining areas, stylish yet practical cabins, and some areas of beauty and quiet (which could be much needed!)
The food was very good, and I hear they are offering traditional dining, which I think is a huge plus. The pay to dine restaurants all look worth the dollars.
The entertainment is constant, and varied throughout the ship - 90's dance along mingle in the royal promenade area, comedy clubs, jazz, ice skating, and the main headliner show, all offer amazing value for money when factored in to the cost of your cruise.
The only thing for me that i found a little odd, as this is my first mega ship - not being able to really see the sea much! But thats just me.
I think this ship will appeal to families, young and old, if you still like to have fun!
Ciao for now! Louise
Thank you for your review! Thank you for sharing your time, just read entire thread, very informative. Have a great time!
