How do you make reservations for the specialty restaurants?
-
Thanks for posting.
When you say you saw people with cases of water- were they carrying them onboard or checking them curbside with the porters?
-
the buffet is open most of the day - times will be in the daily planner. The food available changes throughout the day.
Early birds breakfast starts at 6am and continues until about 10am then there are morning tea items followed by lunch items from about 11.45. Pizza , biscuits and snacks etc... available all day
The dining room is only open as specific times. Usually 12 - 2 for lunch and 7 -9 for breakfast
Great, thank you!

Ooooh we saw plenty of adults grabbing food from the kids section at the buffet. They were never stopped. The only challenge for adults may be stooping to go through the kid entrance. [emoji23]
lol, thanks, good to know!

What are the hours that the buffet is open for each meal?

Sorry but we did not take the kids to the specialty restaurant. Since the kids club took the kids to meals we took full advantage of that and did not really eat many dinners with them. The main dining room did offer us a kids menu but we did not take it. My nine-year-old daughter ordered items off of the main dining room menu. Our son never ate dinner with us in the dining room. I felt a little bad about it but he seemed to be having fun with the other kids in the club so we let it slide.
When they take the kids to the Buffet they make their plate for them and just give them a little selection of each thing off of the kids buffet menu. If the child is older you can get them a certain wristband which gives them the Liberty to walk through the buffet on their own and make their own plate. You also have the option when registering the kids to give them the Liberty to check themselves in and out of the kids club. We did not feel our kids were quite ready for this so they got the red wristband which meant they could only leave with my wife or I.
The kids Buffet consisted of fish sticks macaroni and cheese hamburger hot dog french fries spaghetti excetera. My nine-year-old said it got a little repetitive and she didn't love all of the stuff. My seven-year-old boy however was perfectly content with it.
Thank you! My kids are 2 teens and a tween and two of them have never eaten off kids menus but my middle son is so very picky. He has gotten a little better as he has gotten older but is still pretty limited in what he will eat (he could live on plain chicken breast, rice pilaf and carrots every night). I am more relaxed with his eating when we are on vacation and one of his favorites is chicken fingers. I was hoping to hear they are offered on the kids menus. From what I have read they are sometimes offered at the kids buffet but I am not sure if they will let him have them as I know it is meant for younger kids.

Thanks for the review!
A few questions on food for the kids...
Did you take the kids to the specialty restaurants? Was there a kids menu?
Was there a kids menu in the regular dining rooms and do you remember what was in them?
Thanks!

Hi,
Looking at maybe purchasing the water package for Divina cruise - does anyone know what brand of bottled water they sell?
-
I am in the middle of reading Gambee's review and he has these posted:

It was close to mid-beach.
Ok, thanks!
-
Does anyone know the prices if you don't purchase the package?

Orient beach has a water trampoline but I have never seen a blow up floating device such as the one at public beach in Grand Cayman.
Do you know which beach club has this or about where it is located?
-
Thank you!
This is a second cabin for our oldest 2 - we did book Fantastica for our cabin but it wasn't offered for theirs. Not a big deal, the only perk they would have used is the 12 free drinks, I just appreciate the room upgrade!

Hi,
Do any of the beach clubs have inflatable toys out in the water? We have 3 kids 12-19 and they wanted me to ask! I think I saw a pic of a water trampoline but am not sure where it was located. Does anyone know where these are available and approximate price?
Thanks so much!

If we book a Bella cabin and are upgraded to a Fantastica, do we also get the Fantastica perks?
-
When we were on the Getaway, the Howl at the Moon did not need reservations. The comedy show did need reservations and could be booked once onboard. They were not held every night, but they did each have a few shows during the week.

It has been confirmed - coming to the Dream in November!
-
Hope you enjoyed your cruise!
One of my boys is wondering if there are chicken tenders/nuggets on board?
-
Thanks everyone! I was able to find several reviews with younger kids but hadn't read much about young adults. While she is fine hanging with us, I hope there will be others in her age group to make friends with too!
-
Has anyone cruised with someone in this age group that can offer any feedback?
-
Don't know if they will honor the request but it wouldn't hurt to request it if that's what you want.
Ok, thank you. We haven't booked yet, still researching to see if it sounds like a good fit for us. While we don't mind having tablemates, my oldest went off to college this year and I would prefer to be able to concentrate on having the whole family together at dinner and not having to focus on tablemates.
Ps - your list of cruises is impressive! :)

We are a family of 5; is it likely we would be placed with others? Can we request a table with just our family and are those types of requested usually honored?
