  1. I could be wrong but on the paperwork for the cruise...I believe they state that they can cancel ports etc for weather reasons. (Again I'm not sure about this) But I do remember something along those lines.

  2. Like others have said....we use a CC as well. We put all of the excursions etc on them as well, and then pay it all off. It sure was nice getting $300 back afterwards.:D

I have to agree with others... if you don't have the money to pay it off then I would wait until you had the money in the bank so you could pay it off. A trip is not worth the risk of living from paycheck to paycheck. Please understand this is just my opinion. :)

  3. Re:Picture of the aft section of the Caribbean Princess.

I looked at this thread earlier and I could not get the picture to come up. Now I can see it and it really helped. The question I have for the cabin with B754 is (does it have the beam in that cabin or is it the one next door. The picture is not clear on that.

I was also wondering if anyone had a picture of the inside of the cabins? Are the cabins on the aft smaller than the other balcony's?

I really do thank you for the great picture. :D

    Hope this helps

  4. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the cabins B754, 756 or 757 BB cat on the Caribbean Princess (Baja level)? I've looked on other threads and I was wondering if anyone had any pictures or comments about these cabins. I contacted Princess today and asked them if there was a beam in these cabins and she stated no. I know people have had comments about vents but does anyone have anything on these rooms. I'm also not sure what the gap is between B757 and B756. I appreciate everything!

  5. Some of the rocks can be the size of a 2 man rock, and there might be some areas where it could really work the knees. It's kind of iffy as how it would be on the knees. I would think you would have to be really careful on some of the areas. Like I mentioned before it was a workout on the abs and the legs...it's just a matter of what shape you are in. It's kind of funny what some people might think is a workout...others may not. Some of the areas are uneven dirt/rocks. I know how you feeling trying to figure out if it's something you should or shouldn't do. If you try it please let me know what you think. :D

  6. Pittsit: They gave you a bottle of water when you first start, but if I had know what I (should have know ;)) I would have probably brought something to carry it in instead of having to carrying it. If you can latch it onto something or carry a small backpack I think that would do pretty good. It's hard sometimes to carry the stick and the water due to the possibility of tripping or falling.

For the most part it will be shaded so I think you will enjoy it.

For the most part it will be shaded so I think you will enjoy it. Something different. The bike ride we were looking at didn't seem like it was trecherous. I'll have to look again and see what the description was. :)

Okla Mom: The bike ride we were looking at didn't seem like it was trecherous. I'll have to look again and see what the description was. :) I agree with you...if you have had some pain in your knew I would NOT go on this. I've ripped my ankle 6 times and I was a little concerned about the rocks etc. during the trip. For a knee I would really be concerned. good call on your part girl!

  7. We are in our 40s and 50s and you should'nt have a problem with it. From what I remember I think it takes about an hour to get up there, which means an hour to get back. If we had not had the delay I think you would have had some time to go explore a little. When we were driving up they said that if anyone wanted to be dropped off on the way back they would do it.

The hike was about 3hrs.. (It was hard to guage due to the delay we had). Our excursion ran over probably 1 1/2 hrs. But if everything is on time I don't think you will have a problem.

I'm still chuckling about after a 1/2 hour of walking asking the guide where the bikes were and looking at the expressions on everyones face. :D We just said oh well and it brought back memories of us on a Volksmarch in Germany.

I think this would be a good excursion to go on to get off the ship and do something different than sitting on the ship. Have a great time and let me know how you like it. Anything you need to ask please do.

  8. You're going to laugh about this. Initially when I booked this excusion we thought it was a bike ride down the mountain. (There is actually one) The ride up the mountain is pretty bumpy so you will be holding on.:p When you get up there they hand you a walking stick....which really comes in handy. By the way...we went on this excursion in Jan 2012. The guide was wonderful. If you mention the people who asked where the bikes are she will probably remember.

You make a trek about 2 1/2 miles down the mountain. You will be shaded most of the time but there are some areas that have some great views. The guide really makes the hike fun. There was a lady that had some difficulty due to diabetes (nuropathy) in her feet. So if you have issues with your ankles or feet I would be careful. When the tour is over you end up at a resort area which also has the zip line tours. At the end of they have fruit punch as well a rum that you can put in the punch. The resort (hotel) has an area where you can purchase beer sodas etc. Personally I felt a little uncomfortable doing that. We had to wait a little over an hour due to waiting on the lady that had trouble. They had to eventually send someone up to help the lady down the mountain. I felt really bad for her. She looked like she was in pain.

Other than that the tour does give you some excercise. My calves and believe it or not my abs were sore. Which is good. The trail does have many rocks that you are walking on/by. If you have any questions please let me know.

  9. I agree with Darkwolfe! We were on the ship the same time as Darkwolf but just above. I loved the hump (especially the center hump) because you can see clearly the ship on both sides. I've heard that sometimes on the aft especially the lower aft...you can feel the vibration. I may be wrong but that's something that I've heard.

I also like the aspect that it's in the center of the ship so you are not having to walk as far....but I know I usually NEED to walk after eating all of the food. (I gained 5lbs on that trip). Getting back to the point. Hump for me. :D

  10. Thanks Royal for letting me know about the R/C port being 18. That should help us quite a bit. It looks like it's a little older but the reviews have been pretty good. Anyone else have any experience on the Hyatt pier 66? Thanks ever so much Royal. :D

  11. I was wondering if anyone had any comments on the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six in Ft. Lauderdale? I booked it today for a Jan cruise. I could use it as a standby and book something on Priceline or just keep it.

I was wondering...we are sailing on the R/C Allure and I'm not sure which port # the ship is at or how far it would be from the hotel. You all have a wealth of wisdom and I was wondering if you could share some with me.:D

  12. Greetings! I wanted to let you know that my hubby and I stayed at the Hilton in Long Beach. The Hotel was 3 1/2 star and was pretty nice. I placed a bid for $54.00 (that is what some other c/c were bidding) and I received this Hotel (which is what I wanted). There is also a Westin not too far from there. It really depends on what you want to do the day before. It cost approx. $25.00 for a taxi to the R/C dock which is located in San Pedro. You may check into getting a van (taxi) The money we saved on the Hotel made up for the taxi. I orginally booked a room at the Hilton for approx $150 so I was very pleased about getting it for $54.00.

I hope it works out for you! :D
