  1. I had similar issue.... Booked on ES rate and got a casino rate. The casino department told me I can still get price drops up until 2 days prior to sailing. Hope this helps :) Also if your ES rate was on a reduced deposit you will have to pay the rest of deposit and if there were any OBC with ES offer you loose those.

  2. Second post today about this. These posts always seem to pushing the false premise that Carnival is going to once a day room service. Nothing could be farther from the truth. It's FAKE news. You have four choices for room service just like you have always had. Morning, evening, both, and none.

Sailed Conquest first week of February and was given a choice AM or PM. I was shocked too !!!

  3. Take half as many clothes. Take more money than you think you will need. Spend $20 in the casino to remind yourself why you dont gamble. Join in a Lido game, join a line dance. Get up early and watch a sunrise. Find the "wind tunnel" door at the front of the ship and take silly pictures! (Our 1st cruise on the Paradise we spent probably 20 min every morning doing dumb stuff at those doors!) And HAVE FUN and TRY NEW THINGS!

What is wind tunnel door? Sounds like something we would like to try. Is there one on the Pride?

  4. We prefer Royal but have also sailed Carnival 3 times 2 of those within 6 months apart. Carnival is a "party" atmosphere. Very casual dress in dining room. Shows not as good as Royals but we enjoyed them. Room service for breakfast has only continental things verses Royals has Eggs and such. Earlier this month in dining room I've witnessed two times extremely loud tables that was cussing extreme obscenities VERY disturbing. I've never had that experience on Royal but again alcohol seemed to be the root cause.

The family atmosphere is much different on Carnival so I am assuming NCL is similar to Royal. Any day at sea is a good day so enjoy and go into it with not expecting the level of NCL and you will enjoy. Also pools close between 10 pm and midnight another thing I didn't like on Carnival.
