The one difference from before, is that the Military credit is now Non-Refundable and must be spent.
Do these credits only show up on your booking once the balance is paid in full? DH military OBC is not showing (final payment due in Sept) and I don't want to call prematurely. Thx!

With my status match, we received all the OP’s benefits - without spending a dime or ever having sailed on Virgin.
Same with us. I think it's very generous!

Wow! What a great review. Thank you for such a terrific description of your trip. I'll be on her for the transatlantic in April and I'm getting very excited. This gets me even more so 🙂

My last cruise on RC, I did not get the drink package. Not a big drinker. I do like a dirty martini sometimes. With a tip 2 of them cost $32. Crazy prices. MSC’s drink prices seem reasonable.

I found a video on Youtube that explained the levels and something I didn't consider - at the lowest level package you only get drinks priced to $6 or $7. My cruisemate reminded me how weak most of the drinks were last time. We only plan to have a cocktail or two occasionally, and a soda a day is enough for me. I think we'll be fine. Thanks!
Do you know where I can find the current drink prices? I'm trying to decide if the package makes sense. Thx!

Expect an increase in passenger injuries if pickleball becomes common on cruise ships. The staff at one of our local hospital ERs claim they see at least one pickleball related injury per shift.
Things like twisted knees to ACL tears, separated shoulders and scrapes and bruises from falls, eye and teeth injuries, etc.
Players in their 60s & 70s try to approach the game as if they were still 20 or 30 years old. Throw in some alcohol, and injuries are just about guaranteed.
Two friends in their early 60's- 1 tore his Achilles tendon and one broke her hip, both playing pickleball 🤕. I'm not sure if I want to learn, lol.

We've had pool towels charged to our account the morning of our departure. Luckily we noticed before we left the ship because it took a while (phone calls between guest services and housekeeping) for them to remove the charge.

I use the app SpotHero to find parking whether I need it at an airport, port, or visiting a city. It will give you lots of options and their prices. You book in advance. I plan to use it for my January, 2023 Miami cruise parking.

We roll our clothes and use packing cubes. Amazing what you can fit into a carry on with the cubes! We also do laundry midway through a 7+ day cruise. DH stopped packing "formal night" clothes which eliminated the need for dress shoes. We both run daily, so we limit our cruise footwear to a pair of running shoes and a pair of sandals. For formal night, DH wears jeans/button shirt/sneakers and I wear pants/nice top/sandals. I was skeptical about only having 2 pairs of shoes for a week long cruise, but it has worked out so well!

2 ppl share 1 carryon for a week? That's impressive.
Absolutely! DH and I share a large suitcase or each bring a carry on for our 1-2 week vacations. We definitely rely on laundry services 🙂

Spa access and benefits only apply to guests #1 and #2. If the 3rd and 4th guests want to use the spa, they will need to buy a pass.

When we check our profiles are address is correct and current.
When we make a payment it emails us, but includes a 6 year old physical mailing
address. We can not find where this is at to change it.
thanks
Same here!

My suggestion as I've cruised 5 times since the resumption... Just order thrme at home test from Optum. You don't have to worry about appointments, lab losing your sample, getting your results on time , etc. It's quick, easy and efficient. If cost is a concern for you, you can pay with your FSA (and I'm pretty sure submit to your insurance for reimbursement). Even if you go the Walgreens route, they are great to have as a backup if your results don't come back in time.
Go with the at home option...you'll be glad you did.
Have an extra home test on hand if you do this. DH and I did our Optum tests before our last cruise and DH's did not work (the solution did not move up the test strip). Optum said they'd mail a new one overnight, but they did not send it to the address he requested, but to our home address (we were already at port city). Luckily, a nearby Walgreens was able to get him in last minute for a NAAT. Stressful, though.

You will need proof of a negative COVID test (not self-administered) taken 72 hrs or less before boarding. If you had proof from a doctor/lab of your positive COVID result, the protocols would be different.

Has carnival changed them once again? I have been told there are no more parties but I cannot find that information. Also was told Diamond would now get $50.00 and free drinks. I am just wondering if this is true.
Patricia
I just turned Platinum on my March cruise and also sailed in April. On both cruises, there was a party with unlimited drinks (depending on whether you could snag a drink from an elusive server's tray and/or order a drink). DH and I had 2 each at the party and left with one. We were fine with that. No food was served but since we're new to Platinum, we weren't expecting any. We got our $25 pp free play from the casino, free laundry, free brunch drink, and a gift from Pixels. Pretty happy overall.
Most loyalty program perks (hotel, airline) depend on how frequently a customer stays/flies PER YEAR. Eventually, as the number of Platinum and Diamond members increase, which they continue to do, I think cruise lines are likely going to have to tighten their requirements.

If it is a casino offer then you can go to:
https://globalcasinoservices.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
One of the drop-down menu options is "Confirm an Offer You Received." Click on that, give them your booking number and ask for confirmation of what you are supposed to receive.
They usually respond in a day or two.
Thanks! I'll check.

Is it possible to view what rate code I used when making my booking once the cruise is paid in full? I have 2 upcoming cruises and I think that one of them had "drinks on us" while playing in the casino. Looking at the "booking details" for each cruise, I am not able to find the code I booked under. Should I call the casino line- would they even know?
Thanks!

EMed only sells 6-packs. The Optum Store sells 2 and 3-packs. Here's the link: https://store.optum.com/shop/category/tests-devices/covid-19-home-tests/

I picked up 6, which just arrived last week. Expires 1/23.

Does anyone know if you can still buy a 2-pack anywhere? I only need 2, hate to waste the other 4. Emed site looks like they are only selling 6-packs. I was able to buy a 2-pack back in November.

We have used the eMed proctored for 3 different cruises. Each time it was less than a minute to get the proctor. We did them at 2:00pm, 2:00am and 7:00 pm and no difference in wait time
I just checked their website and they no longer have the 2-pack as an option, only the 6-pack. We only need 2. Hate to purchase an extra 4 tests when COVID seems to be winding down. I already have 6 non-proctored tests at home that I can't use for cruising 😞

I'm curious, too.

has anyone had this issue with VeriFLY...we sail Saturday. I know the testing protocols just changed yesterday. We are fully vaccinated & have gotten the booster. We got tested this morning, 3 days. When we got our results i tried uploading it to the app but got a message saying it wasn't time, it could be done Mar 2 after 5 pm. Well it's after 5 & i'm trying to add it but it doesn't show today as an option. We're sailing out of Galveston. I got the email Monday to download the app so i did but can't go any further. Should i just leave it alone? I have read that many still had to show their documents at the port. I will have back ups, always do.
We'll be sailing with you! I got the email to download VeriFLY but ignored it. I've heard you still have to show all of your documents at check-in.

Paradise Beach is our "go to" beach whenever we are in Cozumel. The AI choice is fairly new and wasn't available last time we were there. I just got on their website and noticed it said "sold out" for our upcoming cruise. I emailed them and asked if they are still doing the $3pp ala carte entry fee where you agree to spend $10pp on food/drink. They emailed me back that they are not doing the ala carte choice (at least for our March 10 date). So sad! We need to find a new beach in Cozumel!
I'm really glad I checked their website. I never realized they limited the number of visitors and would've been bummed to take a taxi there only to be turned away.

I gambled a little but I guess not enough. I have no casino offers. ..I'd jump if it was close to free. ..I'm half packed. Lol
Keep checking. I gamble very little and have not had any decent offers for a few weeks. Then, checked yesterday and saw this free offer. Never had anything like that before... Good Luck!
Are military benefits and stock benefits combinable?

Thanks for your help. The credit did not show on our booking so I called Princess. They said it usually appears by Day 14 (I booked 10 days ago).
