We were closer to the elevators than you will be, and we never heard anything. Can't address the question about engine noise. Have a great trip!

I didn't see any when I was there last November. Only cans.

A few years ago on the Paradise, they let my 14 year old go up to O2. He was 2 months away from 15. He went by himself the first day and asked. I guess they thought he was mature enough. It probably helped that he was 6 ft tall by that time. :p
Never hurts to ask.

Thank you for your videos. Loving your review.

I feel fortunate that I cruised in February. This winter just goes on an on.
Have a great cruise!

We got off and walked around. Lots to see.

Abraham Lincoln once said to not believe everything you read on the internet, because some of it is made up on the spot.:D
I love this! I plan to steal it.
Cruised February -- Fun Times, animals, chocolates every night -- additional Fun Times at Guest Services and Cafe.

I usually determine when I want to go, then call my PVP. He makes sure we have the same room so we don't have to pack up at the end of the first cruise. That's one advantage.
Another advantage is that you pay for transportation only once.
I currently have a B2B booked on the Fascination in the fall. The first cruise has a concert by Kansas and the second one has a concert with Styx. They are 5 days each, not a whole week.

We were on the Pride this year. After the safety drill, my dh went to the Taj Mahal to find a good seat. He ate the goodies they served there, and once I brought him a slice of pizza. We didn't go to the dining room that night.
He had a great time, except for one thing -- he's a Broncos fan.
The Welcome Aboard Show started shortly after the SuperBowl was over. The cruise director made announcements telling when it would start.

If it's like mine, and spins around to go the other way if necessary, then yes, that's what a lot of people bring.

Very nice of you. One caution. They do not allow open-toed shoes. When I went, they sent some ladies back to their cabins to change. Make sure mom packs some shoes that will be acceptable.

I hate for your cruise to end -- for you -- but I'm getting on after you get off, so I'm excited! Thank you so much for your review and pictures!

Great review. Thanks for posting. I leave Sunday and I just can't wait!
BTW, your son is adorable!

In my experiences my room mates were able to go with me. But others have had different experiences.
This was my experience, with a cabin of 4 where I was the only Platinum member.
They have the paperwork for the whole cabin together at the Platinum check-in. Cruise documents should reflect priority status.

We just did this cruise in Nov. The ship runs a shuttle bus to Cocoa Beach with other stops. It was $17 round trip. You buy your tickets at the shore excursion desk. The bus runs around every 30 minutes to an hour. I know it did stop at the new tower.
Thanks so much! Now we have an excursion!:D

Trip Adivisor:
We live in Cocoa and often go to Pt. Canaveral. Exploration Tower is a great addition to the port, I hope it brings the visitors they are hoping.
It is well done, lots to look at, alot of story boards, but they are not overwhelming. We are not fans of reading endless story boards, these are concise and give an excellent history of the port and surrounding area. The view from all the floors is great, don't miss the outdoor observation deck.
The tower is very pretty at night, lights sticks change color as do the floors in the tower.
Thank you for this info. I just asked this question on the home port board:
How far is the tower? Is it in walking distance from the ship? If not, is there a shuttle, or can we get a taxi?
Thanks!

On the pride, this is more legit then other ports... Most ships get back to port around 7 to 8am.. However, the pride does not get back until between 9 and 10am, especially in the winter.. Do not be suprised if boarding for the pride does not begin until close to 1pm... Certainly you can arrive early, but be prepared to wait.. Also, if you are driving in, you may not be able to park right away.. Quite a few times, the gates do not even open until 11:30 to 12noon range to drop bags off and park..
Thanks. Good to know.

I will be in Port Canaveral next Wednesday on the Carnival Pride. We weren't planning to get off the ship, but I heard about the new tower and thought we might like to see it. Can someone tell me how far it is from where the cruise ships dock?
I saw a picture of a cruise ship from the top of the tower, and it doesn't look that far. Is it walking distance? If not, is it on a shuttle route, or would we need a taxi?
Thanks!

Elastic waist. :D

Thanks for this info. I got the email saying I should arrive between 2 and 4. I live an hour and a half from the Pride, and I just can't wait that long!:D

I feel the same way about my September Fascination B2B cruises! Like you said, it won't ruin my trip, and it's getting closer every day, but OBC from price drops are nice.
