  1. Abraham Lincoln once said to not believe everything you read on the internet, because some of it is made up on the spot.:D

I love this! I plan to steal it.

Cruised February -- Fun Times, animals, chocolates every night -- additional Fun Times at Guest Services and Cafe.

  2. I usually determine when I want to go, then call my PVP. He makes sure we have the same room so we don't have to pack up at the end of the first cruise. That's one advantage.

Another advantage is that you pay for transportation only once.

I currently have a B2B booked on the Fascination in the fall. The first cruise has a concert by Kansas and the second one has a concert with Styx. They are 5 days each, not a whole week.

  3. We were on the Pride this year. After the safety drill, my dh went to the Taj Mahal to find a good seat. He ate the goodies they served there, and once I brought him a slice of pizza. We didn't go to the dining room that night.

He had a great time, except for one thing -- he's a Broncos fan.

The Welcome Aboard Show started shortly after the SuperBowl was over. The cruise director made announcements telling when it would start.

  4. In my experiences my room mates were able to go with me. But others have had different experiences.

This was my experience, with a cabin of 4 where I was the only Platinum member.

They have the paperwork for the whole cabin together at the Platinum check-in. Cruise documents should reflect priority status.

    Trip Adivisor:

We live in Cocoa and often go to Pt. Canaveral. Exploration Tower is a great addition to the port, I hope it brings the visitors they are hoping.

It is well done, lots to look at, alot of story boards, but they are not overwhelming. We are not fans of reading endless story boards, these are concise and give an excellent history of the port and surrounding area. The view from all the floors is great, don't miss the outdoor observation deck.

The tower is very pretty at night, lights sticks change color as do the floors in the tower.

Thank you for this info. I just asked this question on the home port board:

How far is the tower? Is it in walking distance from the ship? If not, is there a shuttle, or can we get a taxi?

    Thanks!

  6. On the pride, this is more legit then other ports... Most ships get back to port around 7 to 8am.. However, the pride does not get back until between 9 and 10am, especially in the winter.. Do not be suprised if boarding for the pride does not begin until close to 1pm... Certainly you can arrive early, but be prepared to wait.. Also, if you are driving in, you may not be able to park right away.. Quite a few times, the gates do not even open until 11:30 to 12noon range to drop bags off and park..

    Thanks. Good to know.

  7. I will be in Port Canaveral next Wednesday on the Carnival Pride. We weren't planning to get off the ship, but I heard about the new tower and thought we might like to see it. Can someone tell me how far it is from where the cruise ships dock?

I saw a picture of a cruise ship from the top of the tower, and it doesn't look that far. Is it walking distance? If not, is it on a shuttle route, or would we need a taxi?

    Thanks!
