Be aware that the garage is sometimes full now with more than one ship there now. Last week they were only allowing cars with handicapped tags into the garage. 

We also had a similar charger on Adventure last week and no problems.

We were there last week on the Adventure and had a great time. Chill Island was great also and very quiet. The water was still cool. Lots of empty chairs and umbrellas. Royal has added soft serve ice cream on the island just like Disney and it was very good. Tremendous amount of choices from the lunch buffet like Cuban sandwiches, tacos, many different salads. The only thing we found bad was the seagulls they flocked around any food left on tables and very scary for the grandkids.

We did in fact have the soda package so since the casino did not have either drink we wanted it would have cost me $13.00 to leave casino and go to another bar to get our drink and then return to the casino.

No mountain but when you are told that the SHIP is out of the mix and find out that he (lied, Mispoke) or whatever you want to think he should not have told me the entire ship was out of mix. My wife me and daughter are all prime members in casino and lately service in casino has been terrible.

It is the statement that the ship is out of the mix that was the problem. We only drink 2 or 3 different drinks and BBC and Mudslides are 2 of them.  We only drink on cruises and usually only have 1 drink a day. So I can only assume he was too lazy to get supplies or did not want to serve me. 

Friday night last night of the cruise was in casino and getting a BBC and was told by bartender that he did not have the pina colada mix. I then switched to a Mudslide and was told he could  not make this either. I did not hear what reason he could not make the Mudslide. I then approached a casino employee and we went to the bartender and he told us that there was no more pina colada mix left on the ship. I did not think this was possible so went to guest services and the Representative called the Bar supervisor who came and talked to me in person. He made a few phone calls and said what the bartender said was not true. He took me to the Pub and got me my BBC. He was nice enough to apologize to me and said he would take care of the casino problem. We also complained about the freestyle machines on this ship. Always out of ice and one machine in windjammer broken all week and the other machine was empty 4 days of the cruise. We were able to go to bartender in windjammer to get soda but the wait was very long sometimes.  The other two machines on Deck 5 were also always out of ice and most flavors of soda. Sometimes the wait at Promenade Café was so long we just did without ice. The bar supervisor did however refund us 2 days of our package.

We were on the Anthem in March and while getting our free drinks in the casino (we are prime) the drinks were terrible watered down and mostly not worth drinking it seemed like the bar tenders treated the free prime members differently.

1979 40 years ago this year on the Song of Norway we sailed thru and around 2 hurricanes David and Frederick. Still coming back for more. Will celebrate our 40 years of cruising 3 times this year.

I wanted to thank you in person for this live thread. My wife and I were on this cruise and had a wonderful time. We passed by you and your wife a couple of times but never had the chance to say hi. My daughters were able to keep up with our cruise by reading your posts. I hope that the two of you feel better soon. Thanks again for the great reporting the last 2 weeks.

Bob you are always on the ball but the OP is asking about a different tour that is being offered on the presidents cruise on the harmony. This is a tour of crew quarters and other crew areas. We would like to know if anyone has done this tour before. Thanks

Have a great cruise we are on Harmony 9-28-18. I guess you will lose $78.00.

We were also on this cruise and our grandchildren loved the adventure ocean area on deck 12. We also liked the free play area on deck 11 in the adventure ocean area. There is a circular stair that you can use to get from deck 12 to deck 11 and at the bottom is a play area not monitored by ship staff. We were there with 3 year old most evenings and he loved being able to run and play with the toys provided by the ship.

Do not forget the free drinks for diamond and above you get every evening these are usually all we can handle we do not drink at home. We usually end up getting canned soda for our free evening drinks

We were also on the June 14th cruise some other observations:

La Patisserie steamer for hot drinks was broken all cruise. You had to either go to Windjammer or Café 270 to get a hot mocha coffee and the hours they were open were a lot shorter than La Patisserie.

We also gave up on my time dinner and ate at windjammer all meals.

Smoking on balconies Especially the one below us.

8 year old granddaughter loved Adventure Ocean and went any chance she could. 3 year old grandson loved the free play area on deck 11 in Adventure Ocean.

No meet and mingle they claimed not enough people had signed up I guess another Royal boo boo.

Great cruise and great interaction with Royal employees.

I hope you were typing carnival too many times or carnival now has a ship named the freedom. LOL

Another fantastic ship! I will see her again in September.

The landing card from our 1st cruise 37 years ago. It is amazing to think of all the changes that can happen through the years.

We just returned from the Anthem this past Monday and we were not issued arm bands . we had them on Quantum last year. We asked at guest services and they wanted to charge us $4.95 a piece..No thanks just used the card.

We did not enjoy the grande on quantum in Feb terrible service cold food and staff that ignored our table we even had to ask for menus so it may be a dress up place but the service does not compare. to us not worth the bother of getting dressed up

Service was painfully slow. Something is wrong when it takes 45 minutes for a plated cold appetiser to arrive...

 

 

Carpaccio, no complaints but no actual cooking involved...

 

 

Risotto had some good flavour but was tepid and lacked any fresh vibrancy...

 

 

Lamb Shank – very poor. Dried out, lukewarm and tasted like it had been lying around for days...

 

 

 

 

Classic Napoleon – this was actually delicious. Too late to save the overall meal though...

we were on this cruise also just found this review but our experience at grande was just as bad we even had to ask for menus ordered drinks never came had to complain to get drinks food was not good warmed over got lots of apologies from staff but we never returned to this venue

Yessssss, that's the cruise I was on. Song of Norway, running from the hurricanes? Is that the one your wife was on????? It was a wild but amazingly fun week. I'd love to reminisce with her :)

Yes she was on that cruise it was her first ever cruise and i was in florida waiting for the ship to dock and did not find out till afternoon that it was coming in a day late. I was picking them up and we were going to ft lauderdale for a couple of days. She used the next cruise certificate that she was given and booked her next cruise when she got home.

I agree. I'm hoping for my son to see fall foliage colors, but that's unpredictable. I grew up in NY many, many years ago, so I've seen the gorgeous colors, but he hasn't.

Sorry to bust in but Lynn the hurricane cruise in 1979 was that hurricane david and frederick? My wife and bff were also on a hurricane cruise in 1979 that ran from hurricanes all week long.
