  1. OP doesn't say what they were originally upsold from, If Inside then they were happy enough with an inside when they originally booked. Of course they also don't say what the length of the cruise was. I always need to know how much per day is being offered to get some idea of whether I would have been interested or not...3 day cruise and I'm IN....29 day cruise uhhh No thanks. I assume they meant $600 per person times two people in the cabin but this assumption could be wrong.

Booked an inside originally. Happily took the balcony upsell. It was for 7 days. I would not have been as happy in the inside cabin so I'm happy with they way it turned out. The $600 was more than the price of one passengers entire original fare. I had gotten a VERY good deal.

The $600 offer was for total obc not per person.

  2. First time this has ever happened to me....

2 days before our cruise I received a voicemail message from princess that they oversold balconies on our cruise and they would offer me $600 in On board credit to move to an inside cabin. Btw 6 weeks earlier they upsold me to this balcony for $200.

I was traveling and missed the call/offer until it was too late to respond anyway. So decision was made for me. Otherwise it would have been a tough call? In the end I LOVED my lido balcony!

    Anyone have this happen?

  3. It was under my cabin door on day 2 of our Regal Princess cruise. We already had crown grill reservations and used it on night 3. The sharpie is covering my name and cabin number which were printed on the card. Very very nice of princess. We appreciated it!!!

  4. Last time we were on the Regal during March Madness the only place we could watch the games was at the Casino Bar. I missed not having a sports bar to watch it in... but it did not bother me enough not to book it again this year during March madness......boarding on Sunday!

  5. Hello,

My wife and I are booked for Regal Princess March 5th out of Ft Lauderdale. After we booked I needed fairly emergent knee surgery. I'm about 50% back to full weight bearing. I am really interested in booking the Santuary for the three "at sea" days, primarily to avoid being inadvertently bumped in the knee around the other sun decks. However, Princess says first come-first serve. My wife stated our flight arrives in Ft Lauderdale 45 mins after the ship boarding commences. Anyone have suggestions on securing two lounge chairs in Santuary given our relatively late flight arrival?

    Sincerely appreciate any advice.

    Thank you.

Did you make it into the sanctuary? Hope you enjoyed your cruise!

  6. Yes must purchase a package. I used my iPhone to check mail, news, etc on the Regal and found it to be very fast regardless of whether I was in the cabin or in a public area.

It is much faster late night or "off hours". the less people using it the faster it will be. When lots of passengers are on the wifi at the same time it will slow down. Pre-purchase before cruise for best per minute pricing.

  7. Me too. It's much larger than my usual creme brulee desert but had to try it at least once. The waitress at the time lit up and really loved that I had ordered it. :D

Edit: Looked around a bit. This isn't new but is likely still pretty accurate:

    ALPHABET SOUP

Pasta letters swimming in a sea of chicken broth

    CHICK-CHICK-CHICKEN FINGERS

A hands-down favorite at Princess Cruises dipped in BBQ sauce or ranch dressing

The chicken fingers are REALLY GOOD. My travel companion sometimes orders a double order of them for his meal.

  8.:evilsmile::evilsmile:I ask this question in the hope of not being shot to pieces:evilsmile::evilsmile::evilsmile:

I know passengers are allowed two 750cl bottles of wine per cabin without paying corkage.

Sorry am unable to correct i to I in title.

Is it two per cabin or one per adult over 21? So if 4 adults are in the cabin they could each bring a bottle?

  9. To my understanding, it is not free for full suites. Thermal spa passes on Star, caribbean, Diamond and Sapphire, Ruby Emerald used to be free for suites, and I assume they still are, but I could swear some have reported that Enclave is not free. It is much nicer than the thermal spas on the other ships in the fleet

Enclave is NOT free for full suites. They must pay as well.

  10. Thanks for all the info. I am taking my first cruise in May. My hubby drinks bourbon so I get the 2 free bottles for the cabin! It may be cheaper for me to take a few extra bottles than to purchase by the glass. If I carry my $15 fee bottle to the MDR & only drink 2 glasses, can I take what is leftover back to the room or do they keep it for me for the next night? Do you tip the waiter for pouring or is that included in the $15?

NOT with bourbon. The 1 bottle per adult refers to WINE not liquor. NOT Allowed to bring your own liquor.

  11. No lunch a the port just as there is no lunch at Grand Turk or Mahogany bay. This is a port in a country, not a private island. Of course, walk 500 feet and your back on ship with all of the lunch options the ship has to offer.

In my mind it was set up lie and replaces the stop at the private island. I guess not. I have a feeling it will not be worth getting off the ship. Just enjoy the quiet ship.
