  1. What is the deal with the new photo centers on the newer ships? Who has experience using these photo walls? what makes it different from the previous way photos are displayed? I have read that they are still printing and displaying all the photos??

  2. The $3 food delivery charge is totally unnecessary, unless you want to lie around all day and be waited on. I prefer to go and fetch my own food because I can select it and it gets me up and walking and blood circulating.

Unless you are ordering a burger or similar, how do you know the pizzas of the day? How do you know what you might want from the bounty of the buffet? Or from the IC? The list goes on.

I remember there was a special menu only for sanctuary as well. The $3 fee covered that as well.

  3. Thanks for the info. It appears to be very new and built just as a cruise port stop. We are going to be on the Regal in March and scheduled to stop there for the day. Since with life in Lauderdale the pool and sun activities do not interest me. Usually the best food in any port in aboard the ship, so we will likely just stay on board and may have a "port day spa discount' excursion!

  4. Check to see if they hold 3 or 4 people. If so, some of the sideways interiors can really only be set up for twin beds...I read somewhere here on cruise c. Maybe the bunks don't fold away? Just remembering a discussion here.

Looking quickly at what's above those rooms, looks like some work /storage areas. But not the actual pool areas.

I was told that this cabin is only a double. Anyone have any experience with it? good location and layout?

  5. That kid's garden salad works because it's not so big.

Another from the kid's is the spaghetti & meatballs which is way better than you might think it would be. ;)

The kids chicken fingers are SO good!! they will bring you a double order as a full meal! and the fries too yum!

  6. here is the info I received regarding my April 12 sailing on the Regal:

    • Movies Under the Stars

Cozy-up on a lounge chair with complimentary popcorn as you take in a movie, sporting event or concert like you’ve never experienced before. Shows being featured during your sailing on our 300 square foot outdoor screen include:

The Imitation Game: Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley. Directed by Morten Tyldum. Rated PG-13, 114 mins.

The Theory of Everything: Starring Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones. Directed by James Marsh. Rated PG-13, 123 mins.

    • Guest Entertainers

At Princess, we invite some of the world’s best entertainers – including comedians, magicians and guest singers – onboard to delight our guests. Here’s a few on your upcoming cruise:

Robbie Printz: Laughter is the best medicine, so go see Robbie Printz and laugh about life. Or laugh at him about his life. Either way, you'll feel better!

Kevin Viner: As one of the busiest working mentalists in the country, he will know what you're thinking even before you do --- and did we mention you'll be laughing the entire time?

  7. Can someone confirm if the person sailing on the cruise still has to pay the $39 BVE charge or just those not sailing. When I called princess to see if it was offered on my sailing (it is) they said that I would have to pay the $39 in addition to my brother who will do the BVE with us.

What is the earliest time that the BVE starts? arrive at the port at 10:00 am??

any chance we can go directly to sanctuary upon boarding with the BVE or need to wait til after lunch?

    thanks for the help.

  8. The bridge came on and said there was a power outage and some elevators would be effected. the MUTS went out during the cowboys/colts game and the cabin tbs were out for about an hour. Some of the more central cabins did not have power. The ship was pretty stationary for about and hour and a half. but all was well. dinner service was fine, everything was restored to normal, evening activities were just as planned. We arrived at the port on time. Princess handles everything great and keeps everyone well informed. ALL IS GOOD! except now, I am off the ship and looking forward to my next princess cruise....

  9. I will be on this April sailing of the Regal too with my boyfriend. It is a quick getaway for an anniversary trip and a great way to check out this ship that I have been dying to see. The prices are amazing and we have already received one upgrade from obstructed balcony to the highest balcony category. We live in Lauderdale so its an easy quick way to have a nice few days. I am planning to spend lots of time in the Sanctuary.
