oh yes, Dasani makes water enhancer drop flavor called coconut pineapple, a' dash of cream, shot of rum sounds like a yummy pina colada. I'm brings a couple of shakers with me.

I tried Baja Bob's stuff, also after reading reviews here. I found it to be horrible and ended up throwing it all away.
Can i ask what flavors you tried and in what form? Did you shake it up? I am very accustomed to the Splenda taste so that doesn't turn me off. Why did you dislike it?

where did you hear that it turns into pure glucose? My endo told me differently. Said that occasional drinks are acceptable. I only drink on vacation or social situations.

haha....just ordered 40 singles of baja bob's sf mudslide mix for my January cruise....it's looks delish and has great reviews on Amazon.

What brand are the drink mixes that you buy and are they at a liquor store or other store? I am diabetic also and would like to look for them here.
Go Cocktails
They sell them only on amazon. Four flavors, Cosmos, margaritas, Lemonup and Appletini.

You could order a bottle of Vodka from Bon Voyage and have it in your room.
Great idea....what's a bottle of cheap vodka going for
and how many shots will I get out of a bottle?
-
So it probably would be best to order the cheapest vodka (skyy) on the rocks with water.......
If anyone else does this any suggestions for a good sf cocktail mix?

So I am a diabetic and love my fruity cocktails but cannot drink the mixes with all the sugar. I buy a sugar free cocktail mix prepackaged (like the flavor drinks you put in a water bottle). Love the cosmos, appletini and margarita ones. Will I have an issue bringing these on board (they are boxed, packages of 8, powder form) and will a bartender mix them or should I just ask for straight up vodka and mix myself. TIA

If said child is the second one in the cabin, full price. If third or fourth reduced rate. Child eats, uses facilities of course they have to pay.

Was curious so i went to CCL.com and pulled up the Riviera deck of the Dream.

Apparently all over the OV rooms on that deck are called Deluxe OV and they all come with full bath and also a sink with a junior bath. Many of those rooms hold up to 5 people. I guess it's all about the family.

Viber is a free phone and message app. Make sure you download the app and whoever you want to speak to does also. When on the trip turn your phone to airplane mode and when you get wifi (whether paid on the ship or free at ports.) make your calls and texts thru Viber. My son was in Israel this summer for 5 weeks and he used Viber the entire time to call home. Didn't cost a penny.
Remember all parties involved must have the app.

Hi, we are on the Splendor January 12. Like you we never travelled during winter and the cruise was soooooo cheap just couldn't resist. I figured by end first sea day the weather will be decent and then for 4 days it will be great......much better than dreary NYC days.
-
I see from your sig you have sailed in the fall and early spring not in the dead of winter, January...it can be frigid......very different than cooler weather. As a matter of fact there is a real possibility in January there can be mounds of snow on the balconies.....January is brutal.

Booked an OV guarantee for a great price. It's after final payment, the prices have gone up and now I'm dreading not having a balcony and being able to step outside whenever I want. Plus, with the guarantee I have no idea where we are going to end up on the ship. I know I should have taken this all into consideration BEFORE, but this trip was an impulse buy LOL. The price was just too good to pass up!!!
Does anyone think the prices could come down again? If so, I'd be willing to pay the difference to upgrade to the balcony - I just cant justify it with the price as it is now, even though I've paid more than double that per person in the past.
I am booked on the Splendor the week after you. I also got that great rate (seriously it actually costs more to stay home) for the OV guarantee. I have been checking availability on the ship and since we are three there is limited availability for a triple or quad cabin. There are only two decks with OV views, so unless there is an upgrade (which is very possible) I am sure your room will be fine.
As someone else said, winter sailings from NYC, first two days and last two days way to cold to sit on th balcony.

Going to Nassau with the Splendor in January. Don't want a beach day and thinking of something different to do. Has anyone been on this tour. Is it worth it? Can I book it in Nassau on the pier?
Also has anyone been to the distillery? Is it near the port and what how it the tour?
Thanks in advance.

Awesome review......we did the Fantasy in 1991....haha, you were a mere baby then.....it was a grand ship then and still is.
Doing a 8 nighter out of NYC in January, would love to see those caution pants!

I have the same issue with severe ankle swelling on cruises but it has happened twice when I was not on a cruise:
2 years ago I went from NYC to DC for a week. Drove there. The entire time I was in DC my ankles were like elephant ones. I come home and in one day they are back to normal.
I just came home from South Florida. I was there for 6 days. The day I got there my ankles ballooned. Every morning I woke up and they were back to normal but by the end of the day ballooned again. I drank loads of bottled water and watched my salt intake. I came home on Friday morning and the ankles are fine today not at all swollen and I was walking all over Manhattan before.
I really think it has to do with atmosphere. Call me crazy. Why when I travel south air, car, ship does it happen?

Unfortunately, I have no choice. i will doctor the up, a little cream makes anything taste good and shake it up....very important.
