Happy for you!! Cruising solo can be wonderful!!:)
Thanks so much! I love cruising both solo and with family members!

It is nice when a cruise line will seat solo cruisers together. Glad you and your tablemates got along so well.
Thanks so much!

Thanks so much, Lois! I always love reading your reviews!

I have been on 4 solo cruises out of my 28 cruises. I usually sail with my mom and nephew, but they didn't sail this time. When sailing solo, I usually eat at the buffet. On this cruise I was given assigned seating at 6 p.m.. I went to see the Maitre D' about my seating arrangement, and was told that there were 3 other solos at that table and a mother and daughter. I had the best table mates ever, and we always hung out after dinner. They were amazing. One of them is also a teacher like me. We are planning on cruising together next summer. It was such a great cruise, and Carnival couldn't have done a better job seating us. In the past before any time dining, when I would sail with my mom and nephew, we were always seated with nightmare table mates.

I sail on July 24th on the Splendor, and only about 6 people have responded. It is the same every summer for my cruises. I always sail this week or the following every year, and not many people respond.

Looking forward to reading your review! So glad that you had a great time!

Thank you so much for sharing your album. I will be sailing on the Splendor in 6 days.

Yes, I set a limit for my nephew for $25 a day, but you have to go to Guest Services everyday.

Keep checking. Last summer the cruise that I wanted to sail on was sold out, and a cabin became available 2 days before sailing. I live 30 minutes from the Port of Miami.

Great review! Looking forward to reading the rest. I will be sailing on the Splendor next weekend.

Thanks so much for your well written and interesting review! So glad that all of you had a great time. I've sailed on the Glory twice and loved it, and will sail on her soon. I sailed on the Ecstasy after having sailed on the Breeze, and it seemed so small to me. I love the bigger ships now.

we had Your Time Dining and 3rd floor Golden Restaurant had women in gowns and men in at least button down shirts and ties, well except for this one guy who was with some very well dressed people, he was wearing shorts and sandals. At first I thought to cut him some slack, heck maybe his bag never arrived, but then I saw how ALL of the women around him were really ticked off, and realized he just didn't care. Our whole family got a huge, but quiet laugh over the whole thing, watching him be ostracized by his companions.
Did it effect me? Well yes, it brought some real levity to our already fun cruise.
Almost as funny as the next night when a women at the table next to us told her obviously grown children and husband that they were only ordering the main course and no appetizer or dessert. The looks on their faces were priceless, sad, but priceless.
Make your own happy time.
Unbelievable how some people act in public. There was a man on a 3 day cruise on Labor Day weekend that I sailed on. He also came in the dining room in shorts and sandals on formal night. They called his attention and he started screaming that it was his vacation and he dressed as he pleased. He then ordered 5 lobster tails all for himself. This was a few months before they eliminated lobster on sailings less than 6 days.

I always choose Carnival because I always find the best prices with them. I have a lot of variety of chips and lines to choose from living 30 minutes away from the Port of Miami, and 45 minutes from Ft. Lauderdale, but Carnival beats them in prices very time.

Great review and pictures! I can't wait to read the rest. I have sailed on the Glory twice, and sailing on her for a 3rd time in August!
-
Thanks so much for writing such a great review. So glad that you had a great time! I will be sailing on the Glory the first week of August.

Thanks so much for your well written and detailed review. I could not believe what I was reading about how people went dressed into the dining room for formal night. On my last cruise in March on the Breeze, I had to change on the 2nd formal night because I was too dressed up. I felt out of place. Everyone was more casual, but nothing like you described. I love the Glory. I have sailed on it several times, and plan to sail on it in August once again.

So glad that all of you had a great time! Thanks for your well written and interesting review! I sailed on the Liberty 3 times when it was here in Miami. I love that ship!

I'm loving your review! I will be on the Splendor in 24 days!
-
Thanks so much for your well written detailed review and the great pictures! I will be sailing on the Glory in August for the third time.

Yes, they have them available at the specialty coffee shop. My nephew loved them!

I love it so far! I can't wait to read the rest!

Wondering when the latest is on when they will update the schedule.
Or when they will tell us they plan to update it and it will really happen.
There was a live video on John Heald's page yesterday, and Butch said, here is the CD schedule, but I can't show it yet.
John has been saying for over a month that it will be released soon, and they still haven't released it.
Best solo cruise ever!

I also hope that you're seated with amazing table mates. I booked the cruise a month before sailing, and Carnival automatically scheduled me for 6pm assigned seating. I went to see the Maitre D' and he assured me that there were 3 other solos and the mother and daughter.
