  3. We were in a balcony room and I told him I didn’t care if it was an inside room. He said no. That room we were forced to stay in was not sanitary.
  4. I didn’t ask for compensation, I did want to be moved though. But they wouldn’t do it. We had to stay in they nasty room. It was definitely not a good experience
  5. It’s not Covid that I’m worried about. I didn’t think of that when his face was sprayed. It’s other things that concerned me. I didn’t mention anything about the ship needing cleaning originally because I knew it would start a couple of people saying the opposite. We’ve been on 20 + cruises and only a couple needed a good cleaning or going over. No ship is perfect but the Silhouette needs some work. Especially when your toilet erupts black sewage/feces everywhere. And they would not let us move rooms. They said they cleaned it. In all of about 5 min. There’s no way it was properly sanitized. Just my opinion. We cruised Celebrity back when it truly was a step above other mass market lines. It’s not anymore, but we knew that going in. Also, if you go on a new ship it’s generally a better experience overall. After this I don’t know if we’ll go in any ship again. Just praying all future tests are ok. That’s all that matters to me.
  6. No, I haven’t. Honestly, I wasn’t going to say much about the ship because I didn’t want to sound like a complainer, but it was dirty. I just found out. Covid I can handle, I just hope the rest of the tests are negative. Thats what I was worried about when it happened.
  7. So, he tested positive for Covid. After that their gonna set up an appointment for bloodwork to have a baseline for disease that can be caught from what happened. Apparently, like we thought you can catch things from his exposure. I was worried on the ship, but now it’s a wait and worry more about his health that we’re home. And not one person on that ship took it seriously.
  8. We got back yesterday and he’s at his drs office now. Just want to make sure no ecoli or something worse. I know things like this doesn’t worry some people, but it does us. When black sewage and chemicals actually goes in your face and eyes. He woke up this morning sick. Idk if it’s covid, strep, flu or what. Their testing him for that first. What a trip
  9. He’s ok. We got the medical report and haven’t heard anything from them. He’ll follow up with his dr to make sure. I appreciate the kind, understanding responses from those that gave them. The others, doesn’t matter. I emailed the emails posters provided and told my experience through chat. I hope something like this doesn’t happen to anyone again. As far as the onboard experience outside of this incident, it’s been ok. This put a damper on it so I probably won’t comment on that. Haven’t seen Abraham since, and frankly I don’t want to. He has been the only employee on ship that was actually rude. Beyond rude. We get off tomorrow and I think we’re ready. That’s a first for us after many cruises, mainly celebrity ones.
  10. I’m at medical right now trying to get a report of his treatment. It’s like nobody can help. Like I said. I’m not looking for compensation. I just want the report to take to his dr and hope he didn’t catch anything from it. That’s it. It did upset me the way I was spoken to by Abraham and he literally turned his back and walked away. I admit I was upset but not yelling I could barely hear him over the music. I was about to cry to tell the truth. Either way know you won’t get any help if something happens.
  11. I can promise you that exactly what I wrote was what happened. There were others at guest services that were upset because they had been without toilet service in their rooms, but my husband was the only one I know of that had actual sewage spew on his face. I wish there was another side of the story, trust me. Someone called earlier to see how he was, and I told him he was ok. I took pictures when it happened of the toilet and even after when they cleaned it and it still had black residue in the tank. I’m not posting pictures of feces on here, but it truly was disgusting. I still have not received any paperwork or medical documents. We’ve tried to make the best of things but I wish we hadn’t come. It definitely put a damper on the whole trip. And no, I didn’t ask for compensation or anything like that and nothing was offered. Not even dry cleaning of his clothes. I tried to talk to someone other than Abraham at guest services, but he told me that he was who was supposed to handle it. He was very dismissive and he actually walked away from me and the other lady. I would have no reason to make any of this up or exaggerate the situation. I mean he got sprayed with sewage. There’s not much left to say. I guess we’ll see if we get any paperwork tomorrow land go see his dr when we get home to see if he needs antibiotics or any testing done. I don’t know anything about sewer and the chemicals on a ship.
  12. We’re currently on the Silhouette and have had the worst experience of all the cruises we’ve been on. Yesterday, while getting ready for dinner, my husband was in the bathroom when he heard the toilet making a terrible rumbling sound. He looked to see what was happening, you know how small the bathrooms are? When he did his face and shirt got sprayed with black sewage.it was literally everywhere. Black sewage/chemicals/feces was all over the bathroom and him. He’s trying to wash it out of his eyes/face, I call and they say they’re having a sewage problem, which doesn’t help me. I open the door and find our attendant. He says there’s been a line break. Another lady shows up and I tell her what happened, panicking. I tell them he needs an eye wash etc because there’s obviously bacteria and disease. All the time their acting like it’s no big deal. I called home and talked to someone what to do. They said to have them do an eye wash, give oral antibiotics and go to his dr when he gets back. We go to the medical center, he’s panicking, they hook him up to oxygen and do the eye wash. The put little plastic suction like cups on your eyes and wash them with a bag of solution. Long story semi short, it was handled terrible. I was promised a medical report from a dr this morning. They called and said it will be today or tomorrow. I went to guest relations, and spoke with Abraham, There were several people there complaining because their toilets had been not working since 2pm. He talked to me like I was just some dumb woman and ended up walking off from me. There was another lady listening and she tried to help me and he walked off from her too. And the worst part, not one person told my husband they were sorry this happened. I’m not asking for compensation, and it surely wasn’t offered, I just want the documentation of what happened so I can take it to his dr when we get home because he’ll need it for future blood work etc when we get home to make sure he didn’t contract something. Do not go on this ship. If something happened they don’t care.
  13. We just got off the solstice and received an envelope about half way through from BCC that said we could book a free balcony room at the future cruise desk. We didn’t while onboard, can we call and still book that offer? I’ve never received it onboard.
  14. Honestly, I’m the first to say that food is subjective, but we’ve been on at least 15 cruises with Celebrity and I’ve never complained and always found something I can eat and it’s good. We cruised twice with them last year and no complaints at all. For people saying the cruised last year and it was wonderful, I believe you. But have you cruised over the past month? We weren’t the only ones that noticed. There was a young couple we met and we were talking about the cruise in general, and she said she was surprised by the food because they were excited to try Celebrity. They had cruised carnival and Royal and heard it was supposed to be a step above. They won’t cruise Celebrity again. If they want to keep their current customers something will have to change. Just my opinion.
  15. Progreso is better. The broth wasn’t good and there was literally only macaroni noodles in it. I do like macaroni, so I ate those I was so tired of the pasta bar, so at the one station beside it they were serving hamburgers, so I got that. The bun was huge and hard for that little patty left over from lunch. It wouldn’t fit in my mouth! So I tried to take some of the hard top and bottom off as you can see. It didn’t work lol

  19. We just got off the Solstice yesterday. One thing about Celebrity, in the past the food was consistent. It truly was a step above the other mass market ships, which is the main reason we sailed Celebrity. The food on the ship we sailed last week was just bad. The first night we ate in the mdr. I got the breaded pork cutlet and my husband got the jerk chicken. It looked good, until I bit into my pork chop. I tried to eat it, but couldn’t. All fat and dark meat. The cut was very low quality. All the meats were. My husbands chicken was bloody at the bone. We tried it a couple more times and it was the same. Menus had little of what I would eat and it was bad. The ocean view at breakfast was fine. Lunch and dinner, not good. It’s the quality of the meat. The fajitas at the Mexican station were gray and chewy. At the oriental station same with the meats. The food quality was terrible. We literally ate spaghetti almost every night. Even the pizza has went downhill. Desserts in the buffet were flavorless. I had a cupcake that looked pretty but tasted like cornbread. When we did try the mdr a couple more times the only thing that sounded remotely good was the New York strip. It was like a really thin breakfast steak. I covered it with steak sauce and ate it anyway, since I was sick of spaghetti in the buffet. I took pictures of the evening buffet. Pizza, pasta, salad and a small station of mediocre looking food every night. Another odd thing is there’s limited times the lido is open and it shuts down as fast as possible. We eat later and at 3 lunchtime and 9 in the evenings. You’re pretty much out of luck except for pizza and pasta. At lunch the did have the outdoor grill going and unfortunately the burgers weren’t good. Old and sitting in a pre cooked container. And of course, since the first of the year menus have changed. No beef Wellington. No beef medallions or filet etc. I had a soup that was literally some kind of tomato broth with all macaroni noodles in it. I had to laugh at that one. We were going to try room service, there’s no food available after 1am, but it’s very limited and there was nothing on it we wanted, so we went to bed. I will say cookies in Al Bacio were good. We met 2 couples that this was their first time sailing Celebrity and they were really disappointed because they heard the food was so much better than other lines. I told them it used to be and maybe to try one of the new ships, but they were one and done. A positive was the staff. So nice and friendly. Unfortunately, a lot of them said their contract was up and they were leaving. Moving to different companies, but that’s another story. All the bartenders were good. Housekeeping was great. All staff were really good. We have a trip in April on the beyond we’re going on, we’ll see how it goes. If no improvement I guess it’s time to finally move on from our celebrity. I guarantee we won’t be the only ones to do so.
  20. I always buy the drink package for the all inclusiveness of it, even though I don’t drink that much. At $130 a day, I won’t be doing that anymore.
  21. We will be sailing our first time on the Spirit Sunday, so I’m excited to read this weeks report. Did you have a crew change when you got to Miami or is it the same? Is T&C on your itinerary? Curious if they’ll have the port fixed.
