  1. I surprised my hubby with a B2B last year on the Sunshine. It was on the Sunshine and the surprise was a 5 night in the same cabin after our 8 night. I kept the secret for about a year and blew it while we were onboard the first day. He was so shocked, it was wonderful. I hope you get to do one sometime.

  2. I miss the spicy tomato soup.

On the Horizon recently, they were pretty relentless pushing the juices. At least 3-4 people would suggest/offer them and some pressed further when we said, "no thank you".

Other than these things we enjoyed the new menu.

I'm not doing it for the gifts.  It's an accomplishment.  The first time I cruised, I noticed people in the special waiting area and was told they have cruised 10+ cruises.  I thought to myself I would never be able to cruise that much.  I'm am booked on my 11th cruise now and my goal is just within reach.

Why do I sail Carnival?  I have never had a bad time.  I get a good vacation for the money.

BTW, I felt your comment was very insulting, but I hope you enjoy all your cruises, no matter who you sail with.

I agree with you! We've done 12 Carnival cruises and have 2 more upcoming. We enjoy the familiarity, we know where most things are and how things work. We've been happy with the product that we've always gotten for the price we paid. These things are worth something to us. We've had a great cruise every time.

We look at other lines now and then but nothing has been worth trying the unknown rather than sticking with what we know has given us years of enjoyment.

Yum for sure! Those will be on our list to try on the Panorama next year!

Yes! They are awesome! I only wish (and suggested) that they be available during the day instead of after 5:30. We would have shared one in the afternoons while enjoying their fantastic beverage menu.

  5. We ate dinner twice at the Pig & Anchor on the Horizon last month. It was awesome! We had Trash Can Nachos, Apricot Jalopeno glazed Salmon, Prime Rib, Mashed Potatoes, the cornbread is amazing too. We will definitely eat dinner there again on ships that offer it.

  6. The cruise that I don't have to pack/unpack and move would be my pick! Plus one muster is nice too. No question for me, especially as I wasn't thrilled with the Conquest at all. Horizon is very nice and hopefully you can make that one work in the future.

Bermuda Byways is a very good option. The Bermuda Private Guide thread has contact info for several tour operators and several of the Blue Flag Drivers that can be arranged in advance. Start at the end and scroll back.

Thanks for this info! I researched Byways and we are booked for our first of two days in Bermuda in October.

  8. We just had interior 5208 on the Horizon and it was very comfortable for us. We slept better than we would have liked to as it was dark and the bed was so cozy. We had a cabana on the Vista and thought we'd try the interior. I would definitely do it again if there is a big cost savings.

  9. We loved our cabana #9 last year. We were there on the 2nd leg of our back to back cruise so I was the first to the excursion desk (after getting our picture taken and complimentary beverage). I think I would have been happy anywhere from 8-10 as I wanted to be away from crowds but not too far from restrooms.

  10. We are both drinkers (mainly weekends) here at home. Pinching pennies and worrying about what we're spending isn't my idea of a carefree vacation. I will purchase it every time just to not worry about the bill at the end. I don't worry about whether we've broken even, but with the extras we have on sea days, even if there is a day that we have none (8 night cruises), I still think we break even. It's worth it to me to just not worry about it and enjoy what we want.

Stayed in a HA inside cabin on the Horizon last August and will be back in the same sideways cabin this August doing the Southern route.  Well worth the extra money, but it defeats the purpose of hanging out in the Havana area if you need to be on your balcony as well.  Unless you have the discretionary funds or your SO likes one area and you like the other.

This is great to hear. We have a sideways Havana interior on the horizon in 10 days. We had a cabana on the Vista and really didn't use it, but rather spent most of the time in the pool area. It was much less expensive. We normally have a balcony cabin so this will be an interesting experience for us.

  12. We had a Havana Cabana on the Vista 2 years ago. Loved the Havana area! We really didn't use the cabana much at all though.

We are going on the Horizon in a few weeks and we have a Havana interior. It was a huge difference in price. I think we will be able to decide which way to book in the future as we typically like a Lido deck balcony near the main pool on ships that don't have Havana.
