We did the tubing excursion with Princess and it was by far the BEST excursion I have ever taken in all of my 15 cruises!! We loved it, it was beautiful, the water warm and the staff was excellent!! I wouldn't do the excursion without Princess but that's just my opinion!

I wish Cruise Critic had a like button! :)
Me too!!:)

I know this may be a dumb question but what is a "plung pool"
-
This happened to me too a few years ago. By the way you described things I think the same group may have been on my cruise and could have been the same group that was on the 11/3 Royal cruise.
No, this was on the Crown!
-
Oh my gosh, a small fire?
That's my worst nightmare on board! Keep us informed!
-
I've cruised on the Crown 4 times and each time the ship makes strange noises and booms! On the first sailing, I overheard a woman at the pursers desk asking if the ship was breaking apart because of all the noises it was making! We laughed and enjoyed our trip!

I make them on my computer and bring it with me..,

I rarely comment on things like this, but I gotta tell you that your comment choked me up. What a nice comment and great memories.
If true, you will find me in line for a slice of pizza at Pregos on the Lido Deck...

Every time I cruise and every time I see anything about the Love Boat, I remember my Granny and how MUCH she loved to cruise and the show Love Boat!
-
Some of my fondest memories of a child were my Grandmother (Granny) and I watching the Love Boat. Granny would always say "some day Alley Poo we're going on the Love boat" and when we finally did my Granny was in heaven. She loved to cruise and she and I became addicted!! I hope she's still cruising in heaven! Hey, maybe heaven is just one BIG cruise ship, I hope so!

We booked with Princess last December. We had a total of 4 cabins and 10 people and we linked the reservations together. We had 3 cabins in a row and one across the hall. I booked last and told them who I was traveling with and we didn't have a problem with this at all. I would call again! Good luck!

The international cafe has a "chocolate pudding" that is really a mouse but anyway it is chocolaty heaven in your mouth!! :D

Airborne the week before the cruise and flying in day and a great antiseptic (water based hand sanitizer, lasts up to 6 hours, even kills Noro) called Zylast. Carry it everywhere and use it daily.
I agree, we use Airbourne the week before and we use it until we get on board the ship! Then we wash, wash, wash our hands! l also carry hand sanitizer wipes.

I cruised on a Carnival ship a 5 weeks after 9/11! I remember how scared I was to fly and was worried before we left. We started out on our trip and I got so excited about our cruise that I wasn't scared anymore. I do remember LAX being so quiet, not many people were flying. I don't remember if they canceled cruises during that tragic time... anyone else remember what they did?

I would do a mini suite. One child could sleep on a pull down and the other the sleeper sofa! IMO your children are too young to have their own room.
-
I love the Pub lunch! My two favorite things are the Scotch Eggs and the bread pudding! Oh and the fish and chips aren't bad either! :D
-
When on the Crown in December we kept smelling a musty smell! At first we thought it was the carpet but we soon realized it was the shower curtain. We had it changed and the smell went away!
-
Don't miss the Pub Lunch, it's very, very good and they have delicious bread pudding and scotch eggs!
-
Oh and I forgot to mention that the Caymen islands have awesome snorkeling! Plus they also have really... good rum cakes that you can sample at no cost!

I have been cruising Princess since my 30's and I'm now 48! I have a great time each time I sail! There's always something for everyone! In my opinion, the cruise is what you make of it! No fear, your kids will have a great time! :D
-
Have you tried calling Princess to see if they would let you sleep the twins in one bed? I mean kids that small can share the sofa bed in a mini suite. It doesn't hurt to ask them...

We were on the Diamond in Puerto Villarta Mexico and took the worst excursion on the Pirate Ship! It was rated safe for all ages but it wasn't! You had to get on the pirate ship in the middle of the bay from a small boat and you had to jump up onto a plank! It was NOT safe for any age! We got 50% of our money back and when we returned a year later, we notice they were boarding the pirate ship from the dock! A much batter case!

Yes. Already written, though I am going to sit on it for a few days. I do want it to be fair and balanced.
Please let me know when you decide to post it as I would like to read your review.
Thanks and I hope you weren't hit with the Noro bug?
-
My Mom emailed and said the ship is clean but they are still cleaning! I would be washing my hands like a food if I were on with her!! Would anyone else be worried they would still get Noro? I just can't see how they could kill all of the germs everywhere! You know what I mean?

Passengers were notified the ship will sail at 9PM and not to arrive at the port until late afternoon. We disembarked today and they were planning an extensive cleaning.
The ship will sail under Code Red conditions for at least three days into the next voyage, as per our waiter this morning.
Best of luck! Definitely not our best experience on Princess last week….
