We’re seriously considering doing the cross-Pacific Honolulu to Vancouver oneway next April. We’ve only sailed Celebrity once, and our last cruise was just before Covid on Azamara. We liked Celebrity very much, but the recent reviews of the Solstice (mainly for Alaska cruising) are a bit disappointing… aging ship, lacklustre food and service, etc.. I like the idea of long relaxing days at sea (5 full days). We may book the Persian Garden Pass, but I can’t find info on its price. With all the other add-ons, it quickly becomes an expensive proposition…it the Solstice worth it in your opinion? We’re not into the casino, we’re not big drinkers, and one of us has limited mobility. We’re big readers though. Any suggestions of good spots to set up with a book? This will be the end of April, so we’ll almost always be indoors to avoid getting chilled. Is there a small lending library or swap books shelf onboard? What are the ‘cons’ that we should consider when choosing to do this sailing or not? We’re really on the fence with this one… Thanks for your thoughts, and suggestions! .

I have to factor in getting to the VCE airport for a very early flight out a couple of days later. Trying to decide between a hotel in Cannaregio, or one right next to the Venezia-Mestre train station instead. The one in Mestre will allow to drop off the suitcase early, and will be a much better value (even factoring the expense of the train into Venice itself.) The luggage can easily be carried off the ship in Marghera, and was hoping that a taxi to Mestre could be taken from the port there.

How do they transfer to the Stazione Marittama, do you know? is it possible to head from the Marghera port to a taxi to Mestre?

Hello, Disembarking the MSC Armonia in Marghera (Venice) in April 2024. Traveling alone, handling own luggage. How does it work? Are we transferred onto buses to go into Venice (Piazzale Roma)? If staying in a Venice hotel: are we shuttled by tender boats or water taxi - where to, and do we pay? If headed to the Venezia-Mestre train station - can we get a taxi from the ship into Mestre, if not staying in Venice? Can you please explain how disembarking works for those of us not headed to the airport, please. Thank you.

I’m looking at booking the 9-night Mediterranean Rivieras itinerary, from Barcelona to Civitavecchia, on Pursuit for the beginning of April 2024. It’s a port-intensive itinerary, and includes: Palamos (for Figueres), Port Vendres, Sete, Marseille, St-Tropez, Monte Carlo, Porto Venere and Portofino. I’m wondering about the tendered ports of St-Tropez, Portovenere, and Portofino. Portovenere will be a challenge for me, and I will have to do it with a cane. Esp. for St-Tropez, could I load my mobility scooter on the tender (not ride it onboard, but actually load/unload it.) I’ll be calling Azamara tomorrow to ask, but I don’t always trust their answers when it comes to accessibility issues, based on my past cruising experiences with them. There is only one excursion listed this early, and I know more will be added later. Do you what are some of the excursions that have been offered in these ports. Any idea where the AzAmazing evening could be held? Thank you for any feedback on this itinerary, and any additional info that you can share.
