So just to be clear and summarize...
OJ should be fresh squeezed; Font size matters; Friends of Bill offer discounts on the DBP; a suitcase full of Red Bull would cost more to fly home than worth; either you Love or Hate the Drink Package, if you love the drink package you're an alcoholic and if you hate it you're a prude...
But seriously my doctor tells me to drink 8 - 16 cups of water a day which I struggle to do but when on board and I have the drink package I have no problem drinking all day...
We usually start the day with Latte on our way to the MDR (No WJ for us but that's a topic for another post) for a mimosa or 2 at breakfast, then 3-4 (+/-) poolside (or 7-8 if it's hot), water bottles for the room while getting done for dinner. Then we stop and meet our group or new friends (not Bill's friends though) at one of the bars for a pre-dinner drink or two. Possibly wine or another drink at dinner but mostly just water (to re-hydrate). Specialty coffee after dinner or an after dinner drink at or before a show (or casino, or bar depending what entertainment is scheduled for the night). Then throw in water bottle/s when getting off in port, a random milk shake or fruit smoothie.
All said and done we only get the package if we are going to warm weather location/s and if the trip isn't port heavy. It only makes sense for us if we are poolside most of the day. It helps that RCI includes the package on Coco Cay. For example our next cruise on the Anthem OTS goes to Port Canaveral (where we will most likely stay on the ship); Nassau and Coco Cay. So Nassau will be the only day where we won't be on the ship during the day. So even if we broke exactly even at the end of the cruise I would still get it so in a way it is pre-paid. While on vacation I want to relax and not worry if a frozen drink melts quick in the sun or a beer gets warm or a drink spills or I don't like something new that I tried.
If we get to the point where we don't break even we won't be getting it anymore. So far it is worth it for us, although the price for the package has gone up considerably since we bought it last (pre-covid). Hope you could read my font, understood my humor or got something out of my post..if not keep scrolling!!!
