Recommendations please. First and only time I used was in 2018. My DH passed only 4 months before family and I went on cruise we had booked for my Mom's 80th birthday. I can't remember where we stayed. Have a March sailing on Carnival booked and want to stay in Port Canaveral night before cruise. Thank you.

Suggestions please for Port Canaveral hotels that offer parking and free shuttle to pier.
I last used one in 2018 can't remember the hotel.
Thank you

Can anyone tell me what the on board price of the cheers package is versus pre pay before the cruise?
Carnival sent me a credit card offer where I'd get a $250 on board credit. Since I'm looking at a Bahamas cruise where I will most likely stay on board and not spend money on excursions, etc., I'm wondering the difference in costs.
Thank you

Successfully got cousin's car towed as it was ground level parked in handicap parking lot. They came in to port Thursday for 1 p.m.
Owner of tow company was shuttling passengers to his lot to pick up their vehicles.
My cousin said it was worth the money for piece of mind to not lose her barely one year old vehicle.
Tow company actually dropped their day rate for passengers on the ship

My cousins are currently on Sunshine heading for Bahamas. They are being told most probably not returning Thursday as planned.
Passengers have been communicating with each other and sharing info on having their vehicles towed from the Port parking. I've been able to contact the tow company they are all using and they will be picking up their car tomorrow and taking it to higher ground.
FYI to anyone who has friends or family on this cruise

So how is this working with bookings that are giving you "free specialty dining"? Still just 2 despite the fact that you are platinum?
First time for me with 3 in a cabin (lost my DH 4 years ago). Mom and I platinum, my Aunt presently just gold status.

Is there a wine list still available on NCL website? I can't seem to find on the site and trying to pull up for friends going on their first NCL cruise with me next year. I haven't sailed since 2018 (lost DH of 35 years that year) wasn't sure I wanted to sail again, but now have 2 cruises booked.
Thank you

Meh, every cruise line offers discounted pricing during off peak season during the months you mention. I guess it comes down to what the individual feels is a good deal and what worth they get out of what their paying.
I have cruises booked with Celebrity, MSC, Carnival, and NCL but will most likely be canceling my NCL Candada New England cruise . Booked 12 days to Europe (Iceland, Scotland, Ireland) next August on Carnival for four in an extended balcony for $3500. A similar 11 day comparable on NCL to the same area and balcony is $10,000. Booked the brand new to come Carnival Jubilee for August 2024 four people in extended balcony for $1700. The cheapest 7 day on the old NCL breakaway same week 2024 comparable is $5000 today. My Alaska cruise I took two weeks ago was twice as much on NCL. I don't see how anyone is getting any sort of deal at all looking forward when the pricing gap is that astronomical. I would love to hear or see some deals people are getting on NCL right now just to see and compare.
I have a Dec 11 out of Canaveral 7 days for 3 for $3131. I believe it is the same price as the Dec 2020 one I had that was cancelled. I have a May 11 9 day out of Canaveral for next year that came in at $2009 per person for balcony cabins with 100 OBC my TA threw in. We price CCL Mardi Gras but it came in higher and then you had to add $585 for the drink package. I've done previous NCL 9 day many years ago that were $1300 PP but anything and everything has gone up in price.

I was offered from Spa suite up on my Dec 15 sailing on Epic. I bid on all starting at $250 for the Spa suite. Got the Spa suite

Thank you

Have Epic sailing 12/15. Got email yesterday from NCL with an email from TA as she was notified as well
I have a deck 9 minisuite now. They offered a spa mini suite and 5 Haven choices
Glad you have time to bid as my husband passed away 9/5 and I’m not sure as to whether I am going or not. He asked me if I would go if he died before the sailing and I said no. This would have been cruise number 16. I’ve also said to myself go and
Make it your last. If I go I’d like the opportunity to get a more expensive cabin at a cheaper rate. See how I feel in a few weeks

I am so sorry for your loss.
you said you got a sweet deal on the cruise.
my honest opinion is, if this is money you can do without ... I would just decide last minute. You can't know how you'll feel, from one day to the next.
Thank you. This is how you feel at the moment in time

VERY sorry for your loss!
However, you need to call the INSURANCE COMPANY, and not your TA, and ASAP.
There is probably fine print that requires that you contact the insurer in a timely fashion so that no additional penalties are incurred simply because you waited.
For example, the penalty for cancelling, once a deadline is reached, is usually more and more as the sailing date draws closer. The insurer probably won't pay for extra costs just because you didn't notify anyone...
But they are the ones to advise you how to proceed.
Also do explain that you might not yet be sure, and they can advise you whether there is any leeway or not, etc.
Good luck.
GC
thank you I will try to call them today

Have a cruise booked for December. It was to celebrate Mom turning 80 and my DH being cancer free. Sepsis and pneumonia took him from me September 5th. I'm still on the fence about going. I think it would have cruise number 17 or 18 for us. We were married for 35 years never traveled separately.
I reached out to my TA with how soon do I need to decide and when do I call the travel insurance company.
her response was this:
Checked with NCL if you cancel your husband off the reservation you only get back $134 and obviously if you don't go because of his death you should receive a full refund with a claim and copy of death certificate. The insurance is AON.
Never had a claim before. Aunt could not go one cruise because my Uncle was severely ill. Insurance reimbursed all but the insurance monies. My Mom did not have to pay for the full cabin price because her sister was not in the cabin.
I don't get it. We got a super sweet deal on this cruise but, when my husband asked me if I would go if he didn't make it, I said no. Part of me feels I should go and just make it my last cruise. This insurance thing though - maybe my thoughts are clear right now but it seems wrong.
Any suggestions/thoughts are appreciated

I used Lyft from Radisson to the port. They were there in about 5 minutes from when I requested and was about $15 plus tip
Thanks!

Anyone know how much to park at Merritt Island?
-
You can leave your car but be aware it is not really free. The rate with parking will be more than just the room. We stayed at the Residence Inn Port Canaveral and we left our car there for $6/day. They had a shuttle to the ship for $8/pp but there were 3 of us and it was cheaper to take a cab....$15 for the cab instead of $24 for the shuttle.
We will have 6 people all together and 2 vehicles so will sit and run the math on all options. Thanks for the input

The four closest to the port with a park and cruise option is: Homewood Suites, Country Inn & Suites, Residence Inn and Radisson At The Port.
The first three also offer free breakfast.
We have used all but the Homewood Suites (newest hotel) without a problem.
Have a wonderful cruise!!!
Thank you!

Thanks for the info!

first cruise out of of Port Canaveral this December since moving to South Carolina.
What hotels allow you to leave your car for the week and have shuttles to NCL port?
Thanks for the input

Years past it was allowed. I suspect someone got hit by the partition door, sued NCL and that was that
We book connecting cabins and leave the doors open on the inside
