  1. I took advantage last year and got upgraded to MLife gold by using my Diamond Status on Royal. I booked a trip to Vegas last month using the Gold and got a great discount. I noticed on my MLife Gold card that my Gold Status expires on Sept 30, 2015. I logged in to MLife today and sure enough I'm no longer gold. Back to Shaphire the lowest level.

I noticed the Partnership between Royal and MLife is still there but I cannot find any information on how to get my gold back. I also noticed they added Celebrity (I'm elite via Royal) to the MLife partnership.

Anyone have information? Google shows the partnership but nothing else.

  2. LOL - I've heard that many have been quite dismissive to those trying to circumvent the rules. Personally, I wouldn't want to be embarrassed on the chance I would get one of the occasional ones who say yes.

We actually didn't ask on our own accord. We saw the stickers on another couple's cards and asked them. We found out they were bumped up and we made a dash for the Loyalty ambassador! He hmmed and haaaed but eventually he did it. He literally had a full box of Diamond Status stickers in his desk. So it wasn't hard to figure out that they do this frequently. :D

  3. We are going on a 17 night cruise on Rhapsody in April. We currently have 79 points so will be eligible for Diamond status after the first day. Will we be able to start enjoying the Diamond class benefits then or will this not be recognised until next time we cruise with RC? Anyone have any idea?

    Thanks

We turned diamond a few years ago during a 14 nighter on Adventure of the Seas. We visited the loyalty ambassador and he had a box of "diamond" stickers in his drawer he stuck them on our cards. He checked his computer and did the upgrade to loyalty. He also gave us both diamond and emerald pins as we jumped over emerald. We went to the diamond event for the duration of the cruise. Good Luck!

  4. Sorry about your problem. I developed rash after a cruise where our laundry was done, it was all over me. Had testing and discovered sensitivity to common soap ingredient. Maybe they use more concentrated amount on laundry. Liked the idea of less to pack but won't risk it again.

I have since re-washed everything that they washed. All is well. :D

  5. Do you happen to know how long she is on there for ? I know the past few years she just went onto Royal Caribbean ships for a short time.

We didn't discuss that. She had indicated she had only been on board a week before my cruise. She was moved to Celebrity. I'm not sure if it was her choice or not. She seemed to be enjoying herself whenever I saw her. She was quite visible throughout the cruise. She is very easy to approach and talk to. :D

  6. Julie left the RCCL ships a few years ago and went to the RCCL UK office for some time and occasionally she would be on ships in Europe/Baltics.

A wonderful lady with great people skills, tons of patience and always a smile ...and an amazing memory for faces and names :D

And as of 4 weeks ago she is on Celebrity Silhouette. :D

  7. Not to worry, I went back and double checked, and I think it only applies to linking FB roll calls to roll calls here on CC.

We've cruised with Julie, and she is a super nice gal. Was GS Manager on our Brilliance cruise back in 2012.

Yes I looked it up and I did nothing wrong. Whew. I did give away my true identity, however, I'm not hiding from anyone so it really doesn't matter.

"Cruise Critic loves Facebook. in fact, we maintain FB pages for all of our sites (Cruise Critic, CruiseCritic.co.uk, our Australia site, etc.). We have many people who participate on both our FB page and our message boards. We have no issues with people linking their own, personal FB pages in their profiles, or on your signature on Cruise Critic forums. You understand that doing so allows our members to know your "real life" name."

  8. Now if you had fully embraced that 123 promotion the alcohol would have offset any discomfort from the laundry. ;) And if you still were feeling some pain I hear that Gin and Tonic is the perfect medium to wash out those knickers and socks!:D

I actually did the 123. Free drinks and $200 onboard. :D

  9. I've had this Sky Suite before on Summit and LOVED it. I was also in 6145 and I guess it's a matter of preferences, like all things. If I spent more time in my bathroom, I would definitely opt for 6145 for the bigger more oppulent bath over 6131/32. If a bigger balcony is more desirable (it is for me) I'd go with 6131/32 every time. And some people question the privacy of 31/32. As you could see if you go way out, you can see/ be seen by other people but a good part of the balcony is private.

6145 is a Sky Suite? The bathroom is bigger? Do tell! :D
