I’m on the same sailing. I’m in a club balcony and bid on all haven rooms. Did you bid on haven rooms also?
No, we are travelling with family and haven't bid as we want to stay together on the same deck.

We are on the Joy 10/29 and I continue to get Upgrade Advantage e-mails. The Club Balcony has been dropped to a $90pp CAD min bid.

Norwegian Breakaway
We bid $300 total for a Club Balcony Suite and $150 total for a Balcony stateroom. The room we ended up with was Cabin 9712, designated as a "Large Balcony Cabin" Category B6 by the deck plan. This differentiates from Club Balcony Suite rooms Category MB or MX. I was charged $300 on my credit card. From my amateur Googling, all indications are we were not given a Club Balcony Suite and, instead, simply a Balcony stateroom - but we were charged for a Club Balcony Suite.
This is further evidenced that the "congrats" email says we got a Balcony Stateroom. We also had no double sinks, a feature of Club Balcony Suite. And the color scheme was green and not purple, the former of which is for Balcony and latter of which is for Club Suite.
Am I misinterpreting this? Screenshots attached for reference.
I am reading it the same as you. Balcony cabin, however, they seem to have charged 4 guests, not the standard two.

I have never been on the ship later than 11:30am when arriving at 9:30am. It's a quick check-in and you can get onboard and start the fun.

@kbr have a great cruise! We are vaccinated and sail the 29th, so no Covid test for us! Woo hoo!

Thank you! I was hoping to hold out as long as possible. We will wait three weeks before starting the TA.

Hi!
I know there is a lot of talk about Bermuda possibly dropping the TA, however, in an effort to be prepared, how long has it taken people to get their approval? The Bermuda Government site indicates to start it no later than two days before departure. Has it taken anyone longer to get approved? Hoping to stretch it to the last minute to possibly avoid paying the $40 x 5 people. Thanks!

Damn! We sail October 29th. Just missing it.

As of October 1, Canada is dropping all vaccine, testing and mask requirements. ArriveCAN is also becoming optional. It's possible NCL just hasn't been able to update the info yet. It was only made official yesterday.

In my experience, this only adds dollars to your final shipboard account. Enjoy your cruise and drinks and don't worry about the taxes.

In my opinion, the promo is the way to go. The difference between the sail away and promo is less than adding the drink/dining package after.

Only a proctored rapid antigen is required. I would say your chances are excellent as a rapid test won't pick up a positive 17 days after testing positive.
-
This is unacceptable and I hope it is rectified for you soon.

We sailed on the Breakaway on Deck 5 in a similar cabin. They are no bigger. All cruises will have a king bed, if the two singles are put together. One thing to keep in mind - you are below the restaurants, etc. We found it noisy in the middle of the night when they were rearranging furniture.

If you arrive at 9:30, you should be on the ship by 11:30.

Veuve Cliquot champagne, Tequila 1942, any of the expensive wines by the glass.

An antigen test will not pick up the positive unless you are actively ill will Covid. The PCR can/will pick up a very very small amount of the protein for months after. As a PCR is not required, just take the antigen test and you'll be fine. an alternative route is to get a PCR now and have that as proof of your positivity date, then no need to worry either.

We have always bought these in the past, knowing we will cruise 1-2 times a year. However, I am not sure we will purchase any on our upcoming sailing because I'm concerned about any cruise line folding at the moment.

An analysist from JP MOrgan asked Frank Del Rio this very question in an official earnings call QA last summer. This is his response. To the best of my knowledge there have been no modifications to this policy.
Notice the word "Trying". If NCL could sail with more passengers, they would. Consumer demand has not returned.
Thank you for this! I don't really care how many people are on the boat...I just can't wait to get my a$$ back on one.

According to my NCL Consultant from Miami office...no time soon.
They have not been given a date.
Thanks - I wonder if the date comes from CDC or otherwise. Either way, I'm so happy to finally be back cruising later this year!
