  1.

I think it depends on where you live.  It has always taken them a full 7 days, and sometimes 8 or 9, to reach me in Texas.  If you have UPS My Choice service (free) you'll get a delivery notification a couple of days in advance.

Thanks. I’m in New Orleans and yes I do have UPS My Choice [emoji119]

  2. It depends on the amenity points being offered. Each ship. Each cruise length. Each date are different.

Some sailings offer 2 points. Some 3, 4 or 5. And some 0.

And a group leader can also buy up more amenity points for their group than offered from the cruise line.

Ok cool. This is only a 4 day cruise

  3. Carnival Gift Cards are finally back up. Grabbed a few more!

Thanks for the heads up!!!! I signed up and clicked a few things and ended up with over 8,000 points lol. Purchased a $500 gift card. How long does it take to receive the card? My final payment is due on May 7th and want to use it for that

  4. I would still reach out to Larry's Limos. Assuming you want to spend time in South Beach, the ride from FLL takes about 45+ min each way, depending upon traffic/day of the week. 4 minivan cabs or 4 UberXLs will also get your group there - about $75 per vehicle each way.

You could use Tri-Rail to MIA airport and then for about $3 each ride the Airport Flyer bus from MIA to SB. That's a cheap option, but you'll spend lots of time travelling and waiting. :(

Thank you so much John. I just booked a 24 passenger bus from Larry's for 8 hours costing $600 plus $120 for gratuities. Good deal in my book

  5. Contact the bigger shared shuttle companies - SAS, QLS and Go Airport -2-3 shuttle vans could work. I would also reach out to Larry's Limos to see what options they offer.

Sorry I wasn't as clear John. This is just transportation back and forth for a day trip as we are cruising from Fort Lauderdale but want to spend the day before in Miami.

  6. Thanks so for the replies. After talking to everyone, we decided to stay in Fort Lauderdale the day we return and fly back home the next day. Thank god we booked Southwest where it was easy to make the switch and the price stayed the same.

  7. Hello all. Can someone tell me if you get an actual discount for booking as a group or is it about the same as booking early saver? What are the pro and cons between the 2 as this is my first time putting together a group for a cruise as I always book early saver when I need a cabin or two. Thanks in advance for the replies and info that will be provided.

  8. Have been seeing reviews from recent Dream cruisers concerning "black smoke from the engine room", "cutting ports of call short" and "rooms being uncomfortably warm". Is this an on going problem ? Do we need to pack a small fan ?

I sailed on the Dream for Father's Day and while we were at sea, the ship came to a complete stop because of black smoke in the engine room. My parents and MIL 2 rooms were hot as hell at night
